Sunday Post #42/ It's Monday. What Are You Reading?
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.
This week was much better for reading, I finished two books and started another. Now that's what I'm talking about- finally. I was slow going on a couple of reads, I guess mainly because nothing was really wowing me - and life was busy too. It kinda feels like the logjam is broken and I can move on now. I've got some good reads coming up too- well I hope they're good, they look good to me anyway.
I should have several reviews up this week, just putting the finishing touches on my Jurassic Park thoughts. Looking ahead I have several YA reads I want to get to and a historical or two- where's the fantasy? Seems like I'm not feeling the fantasy love as much these days- or just not coming across the right stuff. Just not a lot that grabbing me right now. We'll see if that changes...
What's happening in your world?

AROUND THE BLOGOSPHERE:
The Motor City Comic Con is coming May 16th-18th- and I'm going! Lots of great guests this year and it should be a lot of fun.
My Shelf Confessions has a great new feature called WTF Wednesday- love that! This week she shared a video of some um, luggage handling issues- you gotta click over there and see what these guys were doing. Busted!
This is not really bookish at all, but it caught my eye. Viewpoint: The Problem with Prom. A senior in MI wrote a letter describing the issues he has with prom. I have a feeling a lot of people could relate to this. What do you think?
Tor.com has some interesting news this week- including an update from Disney on Star Wars canon (it's just the movies, folks), some commentary, Dragon Age: Inquisition coming on October 7th, and an excerpt from Monument 14: Savage Drift by Emmy Laybourne.
There's been a lot of discussion about last week's Game of Thrones episode- specifically the scene with Jaime and Cersei. Here are some thoughts about this that I pretty much agree with. My take is the Jaime of the books would never have done that, and that it was a serious misstep for the show. The show can of course do what it wants, but that's just not Jaime...
So what are you reading this week?
