Sunday Post #29/ It's Monday. What Are You Reading?

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

This week was a little better on the reading front, I finished a book and made good progress on another. Lots of stuff going on in the personal life, too, including a possible job change and move. If we do this it will be a big change for our family, but a positive one we think. It may affect my blogging time, but I enjoy doing this and want the blog to grow, so I'll be sticking with it. Everything is early stages though so we'll see.

We get another blizzard last night, tons of snow and the roads were nearly impassable due to drifts. Hope everyone is staying warm and having a good weekend.

    1. I liked those too, especially that last one. There seem to be a lot of good covers lately, especially on the YA side.

  3. Yeah, that's a tough one, job changes and moves, YIKES! Good luck. We've done it a few times and never regretted it.

I think I'm taking off work to see The Lego Movie with my family on Friday ;) I've already gotten my Uni-kitty keychain and I've managed to only buy 2 lego sets. I am such a geek about legos and my son is suffering for it. He is so spoiled....

Have a good week, stay warm, and good luck in your decisions!!!

    1. I wish we could have the dusting only! I'm jealous of the warmer climes a bit right now. Thanks for the well wishes, should be interesting!

    1. I'm only a little ways in but so far so good. I really like the premise. I think once she gets on the island it's going to really pick up.

Thanks and have a fabulous rest of the weekend!

    1. I know, I would too. Although I'm curious how they're going to do it with their ages now--- I hop they have a plan. Thanks Diana!

  9. No safety in numbers appeals to me straight away. I've seen the adverts for the Lego movie for the first time today here in the UK - hmm, personally I'm not sure about it.

  11. Hopefully things will work out for the better on your end without you having to give up blogging! :)
I have to say, I am a little worried about the new episode coming out in 2015. I am so worried they'll mess it up or do something that will set me off. :/
I've had The Treachery of Beautiful Things on my TBR list for a while and for the life of me, I cannot remember why I have not read it. Maybe it's just because I am too lazy to scroll down :P

Happy Reading Greg and hope you have a great week! :)

    1. Ha ha about the TBR! Thanks, I'm pretty sure whatever happens I'll still be blogging- I've gotten too used to reviewing/ complaining about my books to give it up. :)

I'm also worried about the new SW movie- that just seems like a hard thing to do right after all these years. I'm kinda excited to see the original cast again, but they're pretty old. Not sure about this one...

  12. It took me a bit to realize that Vitro is the cover of a book, not some new rating scale you'd created! Crazy!

    Here's my It's Monday!

    1. That cover is a little hard to see, the white background just sorta fades right into the background. I noticed that too! Come to think of it, it does look like a rating scale kinda. Two beakers for this one... I wonder if anyone else is doing that! :)

  14. Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy is in my opinion the best Star Wars fiction I've ever read. I first read it as a teenager in the 90s. Even then I knew it was impossible due to the actors' aging but I wished it would have been made into a movie instead of the lovely prequels :)

I hope you enjoy Heir to the Empire and have a great week.

    1. Thanks Christina, I've heard that about Zahn's books. I've always been kinda curious but with the new movie coming, now seemed like a good time. I actually read a couple chapters last night and he seems to have a real knack for those original characters. I'm curious how they'll handle their ages in the new one...

Ah, you don't get much sympathy from me on the showing dates of shows from other countries - here in Australia we have to wait for your shows and movies, after all!! :)

The new job sounds exciting, I hope it all goes well.

    1. I think I will, it's fun to revisit the Star Wars universe after all these years. I've heard a lot of good things, i think they were some of the first Expanded Universe books before it all exploded.
