Sunday Post

Well, the color guard event went well. I went to see Michigan State and their show was good.

This week I'm spotlighting a favorite movie Desperately Seeking Susan. And I was happy to see this week that Back n Black, the all woman tribute band to AC/DC are still around. A couple promos below.

And... Movies That Suck for the week is... Desperately Seeking Susan

This week's discussion post is Game of Thrones Catelyn Stark Y or N

  1. And you can dance...oh boy! Oh, some great music! Indeed! Well, I spent forever on the phone with making a doctor's appointment..can't get in til March 22nd. So I painted nails on my Barbies while I waited. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️While you are Desperately Seeking Susan I have been reading up on Boney M. Wow, this band was the precursor to MilliVanilla in the 80's. They both had the same German producer. Her I was thinking they might have been out of Detroit from the 70's. It was the producer who was singing the lead in Cool Daddy..which is iconic from India to Korea in the 70's but not here in the states. Anyway, I did make a mix post coming up soon.🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩 Yikes, it is so expensive to go out now. We do have a Sushi Train opening soon. But I am not a Sushi fan, either. We are finally getting a 5 Guys..but at this rate, I might only go in for a shake. We definitely need to start sharing meals again..even at MacDonalds. 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 Wishing you a happy weekend. Kind of cold here, we had a little snow last night.

  3. How come the song is so obvious when you reveal it. I should have known that. I had my Madonna phase and was obsessed with that jacket from Desperately Seeking Susan. Glad to hear the event went well, too!

  8. I loved Madonna!! My dad was the principal at the high school she attended (unfortunately not when she was there) but he brought home a copy of the yearbook that had her high school picture in it for me once so I could see it. Lol. I thought that was super cool.

  12. Now that I'm finished watching GOT, I went to read your post about Catelyn Stark. I found it really interesting to read others opinions of it. I didn't post since it was 2017 and I'm coming in late in the game. I do think I'm torn how I felt about her. She wasn't a favorite, but I didn't have strong feelings about her. I guess I should try the books soon.

    Have a great week!

  14. I loved Desperately Seeking Susan and rewatched it a year ago. I was gratified at how well it had aged - far too many films from that era just make me cringe these days. LOVE the pulp cover for Murder on the Orient Express - thank you for sharing:). Have a great week, Greg.

  15. I love the Agatha Christie cover. I just never saw many movies as I was absorbed in my work. I tend to fully concentrate on tasks and everything else gets left behind. I always end up reading rather than watching tv or movies. I think I might get in some watching if I plan to work on my knitting while I do. Although audiobooks work with knitting as well.

  17. We're gonna do what they say can't be done- We've gotta a long way to go and a short time to get there. Should I have seen that movie when I was a wee lass?

  20. I was never a fan of Desperately Seeking Susan. I don't think I've ever actually seen it all the way through to be honest though. I was more into the whole John Hughes movies, specifically high school ones, as well as movies with Corey Haim and Corey Feldman. Hope you have a great week!

    Have a great week.

  22. even though I was a teenage fan of Madonna at the time, Desperately Seeking Susan really was a bad movie.

  25. Hooray for Desperately Seeking Susan! No telling how many times I went to the theater to see that one. Madonna... in a movie! I was on cloud 9. LOL Laughing at this week's lyric. What a fun pick. Haha!

  26. Back n Black passes through my hometown fairly regularly but we haven't ever made it to see a show. I don't think I realized they were a female group. Awesome! I'm glad the color guard event went well. Have a great week!

  27. I've never see Desperately Seeking Susan...then again, movies are not my jam (and I've never been a fan of Madonna's, to be honest). Your commentary was funny though ("She looks at the earrings again, to remind the audience that they're important" 😂).

I didn't know an all-female cover band for AC/DC existed!

  28. I love that Agatha Christie cover - especially since that robe is connected to something in the book! The Michigan State color guard sounds awesome. I love watching color guard and marching band competitions. I hope you're having a wonderful week!

  30. The Desperately Seeking Susan jacket!!!!! When that movie came out there was an ad on TV to get a jacket JUST LIKE the one in the movie!!!! I ordered it. What a disappointment!!!!! It was the most cheap, horrid ripoff of a jacket. I returned it and got my money back.

  31. I don't think I've ever watched Desperately Seeking Susan. 🤔

I love the Agatha Christie cover. 📘✨

I'm getting caught up on The Sands of Time. I'm on installment #60. ☺

    I hope you've been having a good week. ☀
