Sunday Post #489

Well, the big news this week was taking Mom down to Cleveland Clinic for a second opinion on one of her problems, but we had to reschedule. So we'll be going now March. Other than that... snow. Cleveland looks like they're getting wintery weather too so maybe it's good. In other news, I started The Rig on Amazon Prime.

Here is this week's lyric.

Oh no they say he's got to go

Oh no there goes Tokyo

Here is the lyric f/ last week and the answer

Your love's contagious. One kiss is dangerous.

   Song of the week

  1. Dang if one thing just doesn't lead to another...as I was writing my comment..it disappeared... So back to that familiar guy in the collage at https://heathandnick.blogspot.com/ is Brad Pitt.

    1. Oh, you have put me in Jeopardy mode with this sexy lyric segment of yours! Um..Ballroom Blitz is on my brain though..by Sweet. Cool pulpfiction. I might have to come up with my own fan fic of this one...(✿◡‿◡)
Hope things go smoothly in Cleveland. We are having a warm, but cold windy day..so I can't say it's as great as one would expect. Snowshowers tomorrow, but they seem to miss us.

  2. Great music for Saturday morning here. Hope the 2nd opinion is worthwhile

  3. I hope the delay doesn't cause too much stress. It tough doing things in the winter when you live in places with weather (NJ is hit or miss). It's going to be in the 50s this weekend, then into the high 30s (still not bad)

  4. Let us know what you think of the Rig, would you? You're the 2nd or 3rd to mention it online and since I have prime, well....

  5. When I read, "Oh no, there goes Tokyo." All I could think of was Godzilla for some reason. lol

  6. Ugh, that sucks about Cleveland. Well, hopefully things will go smoothly in March at least! Sorry about the weather too, ugh. Hasn't snowed much at all here really, but we ended up with two snow days this week for literally less than an inch of snow total so. I'll be complaining in June, no question. I will add The Rig to my list!

  8. I hope they figure out your Mom's issues soon. I love that Whitesnake song. I never can guess the lyrics, I'm terrible at guessing lyrics. But, I like the video's of the answers. :)

  9. Ugh, March is so far away! I hope your mom will be OK in the meantime, and not too stressed about the delay.

You like snow, right? 😉 We're "finally" having proper winter weather here. Very cold (no snow though - it practically never snows where I live...though once it happened at end of March...).

  12. I didn't realize you lived in Ohio. My husband works in downtown Cleveland, we moved to Ohio at the beginning of November. Sorry your moms appointment is delayed, hopefully all will be well.

  13. I’m sorry your Mom’s appointment was delayed. It can be frustrating waiting. Enjoy the rest of your weekend Greg.

  14. Sorry to hear about the extra wait for your mom's health visit. But I wish we got some snow. The east coast is having a bit of a snow drought, it's driving my kids crazy.

  15. Sorry to hear about the delay! Hopefully it doesnt cause too many issues for your mum.

  16. Maybe your mom will be better by March. You never know. 🤗

Godzilla! I'm a big fan of the beast, but not so much a fan of the song. Heh heh. 😅

Have a wonderful new week. ☀

  17. I've heard great things about the Cleveland Clinic!

And you guys really got hit with snow!

  18. I hope you get some answers for your mom with the 2nd opinion. Enjoy The Rig. I hadn't heard of last week's song before. I'm over winter already and it hasn't even really started here yet.

  21. OK the song: Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult?? Also I hope your mom will have good news on her appointment now in March!

  22. Wow, that's quite a wait for you mom's appointment. Although we're still waiting for my mom's neurology appt from her last fainting spell back in November. It's finally coming up in a week or two. No clue on this week's lyric... you're making it a challenge! :)

  23. I know getting into the Cleveland Clinic is tough-my dad waited for about 6-8 months. Hopefully they are able to figure out how to help her!

  24. Ugh, March is such a long way away compared to this week. I hate how long it takes when things have to get rescheduled. Hope she is doing okay otherwise. Have a good week!

  26. Those pulp covers were racy for the time period. I hope March isn't a problem weatherwise and that your Mom is ok until that time.

  27. That's a long delay, but hopefully it will be worth the second opinion. I'm sitting here in Central Maryland twiddling my thumbs waiting for us to get some real snow (more than just flurries, please). I hope you have a good week. :-)

  28. Is The Rig good? I Googled and saw something about Scotland. Do they all have Scottish accents? There's some woman I follow on TikTok and I think her family is Scottish and the little daughter has the cutest little accent I've ever heard on a child. The way every sentence goes up into a question or something? I can't even explain it?

Sorry for the delay with your mom's appointment, but good that you didn't get caught up in some snowy mess.

  29. It's been snowing on and off here but nothing too major compared to what we got in December. Appointment rescheduling can be tough, especially when the healthcare system schedules things so far in advance. My dad has a specialist appointment booked for May! Idk how to fix this problem but certainly it's become custom for long wait periods.

  30. I hope you get some good answers with the referral. Probably better it got rescheduled if it snowed. It started snowing here today, too. Just a light dusting. Starting to melt already. You're the 2nd person I've seen praising The Rig. Will have to check it out. Have a great week, Greg!

  34. I guess best not travelling in snow. Can be scary, only been in a car in lots of snow once and that was not good! Pity your Mom's appointment got. cancelled though, hope they honour the March one.

  35. Love Ain't No Stranger is really good! I'm adding it to my playlist. :-)

  37. We haven't gotten any snow other than a few flurries!

  38. I hope you get some good news in March. And hopefully nice weather when you go to Cleveland. Boy oh Boy that seaweed is doing the work on that racey cover!

  39. Yep, snow is the only thing that's happening here too. It keeps canceling all my plans.

  40. We've traded snow for bitter cold here in my part of Minnesota. I am quite content to stay home. I hope the weather is better for your trip to Cleveland in March. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  43. Sorry to hear about the delay. It seems everyone else is get the MA snow because we have had almost none. Not that I am complaining. I have no use for it after New Year's Day. Here's hoping March is drier for you.

  44. Oh my...that pulp cover is something!

Sorry to hear that you are still working on figuring out what is going on with your mother's health...and bummer for all the snow! One of my brothers lives in Wisconsin, so I've been hearing all about the winter woes...and the rain here in the PNW just doesn't seem so bad after that!

  45. Snow. Yuck. I hate snow. I'm glad we get it rarely here in the Seattle area. I hope it goes away soon.

  46. Ugh, snow, I'm not a fan. Sorry to hear you had to reschedule the appointment for your mom - hope she's doing well though and March will be here soon.

  47. Sorry the appointment was delayed, but I am a huge fan of the Cleveland Clinic. My uncle got his kidney transplant there and he got the best care.

  49. Hope everything's going well with your mom! I hadn't heard of The Rig–sounds really interesting. I can honestly say I've never experienced living in snow, so I have no idea what it's like but I always assume it can be very annoying, haha.

  50. Sorry you ended up having to reschedule the second opinion for your mom but fingers crossed they have positive news when you can finally go. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on The Rig, I keep seeing it advertised and I'm intrigued but haven't started a new show for a while so haven't been able to commit yet.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Ugh. Sorry to hear about the reschedule. It's such a pain... and then they make you wait forever for the next appointment. I hope she hangs tight in the meantime.

  52. Hope things will go well for your mom and that news will be positive. Love the pulp covers! Where do you discover them?
