This week is Top Ten Extraordinary Book Titles. This is a fun topic, and I love a distinctive book title. I'm just gonna go with book titles I really like or I think are just very unique.
The Long Way To A Small, Angry Planet
I had to use this right?
Record Of A Spaceborn Few
Since we're on the subject of Wayfarers
Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies
I just love this title!
A Map For Wrecked Girls
All We Have Is Now
Bad Girls With Perfect Faces
Eight Hundred Grapes
Number One Chinese Restaurant
One Of Us Is Next
Summer Days and Summer Nights
A Map for Wrecked Girls is really interesting! I'm definitely curious about that one, but at the same time, I doubt it's really be a book I'd love. Karen's books always have interesting titles (though again, I've never read any of her books!), and of course, someday I'd still like to read the 'summer' novella collection since I did enjoy the Christmas one. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your list, Greg! I still haven't read any of Becky Chambers' books but I adore her titles. They're what make me wanna pick up these books in the first place (I mean, besides all the amazing reviews)!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT post
Haha, that pulp cover is racy! especially for the era. The tagline isn't half bad either!
ReplyDeleteChambers' titles are intriguing, and the covers are lovely (though covers never factor in my decision to read a book). Maybe one day you'll convince me to try them LOL.
Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies is the best dark humour title ever!
Eight Hundred Grapes is a great title! The cover also makes me want to read it! Happy Tuesday!:D
ReplyDeleteGreat picks!! Rock Falls, Everyone Dies is definitely a darkly humorous title!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Love Me and Die... how dramatic! :)
ReplyDeleteRock Falls, Everyone Dies - now there's a unique title!
Great list! All of Becky Chambers' books always have such brilliant titles.
ReplyDeleteOf course I agree with Becky Chambers. I have all the books I've read of hers on my list today haha.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous. Oh my! We could probably do an entire post on odd mystery titles. Love Me and Die. Oh dear.
ReplyDeleteLOL I love your list! Some of these are quite dramatic!
ReplyDeleteI've always meant to read Rock Falls Everybody Dies. It's such an awesome title for a book!
ReplyDeleteThese are all great titles, Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies lol...
ReplyDeleteMy TTT: Marie @ Pages to Explore
I love that tagline. :D
ReplyDeleteGrapes are one of my favourite fruits....but 800 of them? That's a lot. LOL.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
Rocks Fall Everyone Dies is one of the best titles ever! Great list, Greg.

These are all great titles! Happy reading! 🙂
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday!
It seems Becky Chambers has a knack for great book titles. I love all of them.
ReplyDeleteThe Long Way To A Small, Angry Planet.. yes you had to use t. I know how much you loved that book! I can't see that cover without thinking of you! :) Sorry for the delay to send your book I've been out of town. :(
ReplyDeleteReally epic titles are kind of a double edged sword for me. I *expect* the book to be as extraordinary as it's title and most of the time it's not lol
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
I knew you would have some good ones! I love One of Us is Next. I love all of her titles.
ReplyDeleteDang Greg you even used one of the books that I am awaiting with great expectations One Of Us Is Next!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun list. You came up with some really good titles! My favorite: Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies. :D
ReplyDeleteI forgot I wanted to read Number One Chinese Restaurant. Thanks for the list. My TTT
ReplyDeleteI like the cover for All We Have Is Now.
ReplyDeleteI am seeing a bunch of books today, that were added to my TBR based on their name alone. Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies was one of those books, and I did enjoy the book as well.
ReplyDeleteI think that could definitely be one of the best taglines ever! I think long titles can be very interesting - gives you a lot to think about, what's inside the book!
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! I have to admit, Summer Days and Summer Nights is a great title. Good book too. I thought about getting it this summer (it was a library book for me) but I didn't find time to reread it this summer.
ReplyDelete"Keep the coroners busy" is easily one of the best taglines, haha. I also love a lot of these titles! The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet, and Rocks Fall Everyone Dies both really stand out to me.
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to read more Chambers.
ReplyDeleteA Map For Wrecked Girls is one that immediately caught my eye with its title! Great list!
ReplyDeleteA Map For Wrecked Girls + cover is one that has always always stuck in my head. GREAT list, Greg!
ReplyDeleteBecky Chambers has great titles, I definitely agree. I hope Eight Hundred Grapes is about wine!
ReplyDelete800 grapes is a great title :)
ReplyDeleteLove Me And Die, lol. Well that's one way to fend off advances, I suppose!
ReplyDeleteThe Chambers book is one I've wanted to read for ages now, in part because of the great reviews I've seen but also because of that great title.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Chambers titles too! And Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies is my all-time favorite tbh.
ReplyDeleteAlso, cackling at that cover. Like you know what, like hard pass on the love if it leads to death!
The Becky Chambers books would definitely be on my list, too! 👍✨
