Bookcover Spotlight #25

99 steps and a crumbling door, leading who knows where? Yes please. And watch out for that mysterious figure at the top!

  1. I'm not familiar with this meme, but a great one for folks like me who put so much emphasis on attractive or meaningful cover-- cover love, yea!

You bring back good memories for me with this cover-- for several years during my childhood I devoured Nancy Drews, unfortunately not in order and not every one, as I was at the mercy of my mom picking up new ones for me at the supermarket every couple of weeks and which titles were available. Yes, the supermarket sold these, Hardy Boys, and Trixie Belden, etc. on a spinning rack near the checkout (now we offer kids candy instead as temptations). I loved her mad skills, and she is the reason that my favorite genres in my adulthood are suspenseful detective investigations and mysteries!

  2. I just love old book covers, when and if I ever get a house I would love to have them frames on a wall. This would be one I would pick, I never read the book but the cover is outstanding! :)
