The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer
It feels like the first week of summer around here with the nice temps and I'm loving it. It was a quick week and I did some reading and spent as much time outside as I could. I'll be reviewing Gena/ Finn this week and I'll also have a discussion post on Games of Thrones.
Last week I discussed those books you just have to have and I also took a look at some shows I'm currently watching. Now that The 100 is over I thought I'd do mini reviews.
I've been binging on Netflix again and blew through Bloodline. It was good and I reviewed S2 this past week- stop by and let me know what you think if you've seen it. I liked it better than S1. And Mako Mermaids finally has new episodes out- I've been watching a bit of those.
And I'm listening to...

This is kinda fun.
This weeks ambience.
Can't wait to see what you think of Gena/Finn. I have heard that season 2 of Bloodline was better than the first - more like a thriller. I think I am going to binge it in July. Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteI did like Bloodline- and I do think S2 is better. I mean they're both good but yes S2 seemed to get down to business quicker, you know? Hope you like it!
DeleteI've been seeing a lot of people talking about Bloodline lately so that will definitely be my next Netflix binge. I'm interested in seeing what you thought of The Invisible Library! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteStacy Renee @ Lazy Day Literature
Bloodline is a good binge- lots of stuff happening. I hope you like it when you get to it!
DeleteLOL Sharknado!
ReplyDeleteThe Invisible Library looks good. I might have to check that one out.
I know? Did we really need a 4th one? Of course we did!!
DeleteCan't wait to read your thoughts on Gena/Finn!! And Invisible Library for that matter :D Oh and I saw Bloodlines on Netflix, I need to check it out soon! Oh and as always LOVE the fantasy art you share ♥ Hope your weekend is going great! xx
ReplyDeleteWould love to hear what you think of Bloodline! And gena/ Finn- looking forward to reviewing that one.
DeleteThe Cersei video was great, lol. Loved how there was plenty of wine on hand!
ReplyDeleteI got a kick out of it! Are you all set for tomorrow's episode? :)
DeleteYou're lucky with the nice weather! I'm just getting a bunch of storms lol. I'm worried the power might go out since it's supposed to get windy, but I guess I'll have to wait and find out.
ReplyDeleteThere are FOUR Sharknado movies???? How is there even anything more to make a movie about? Isn't it just, like, a tornado with sharks in it? Doesn't that get old?
You know, I've never wanted to go into space because it seems absolutely terrifying, but that picture of the girl looking out the window makes it look so beautiful. And maybe if I had a ship that looked like the one in the other picture... :-P
It's been nice here! 80's and sunny. Hope your storms aren't too bad... I hate power outages because they interfere with Internet usage lol. And I know right? Sharknado 4... I laughed at that preview... that'd be a fun drinking game movie. Every time someone gets chomped, drink. lol
DeleteYeah I liked that pic too, not my usual style of art but saw it trolling on deviantArt and liked it. I always wonder what stories you could tell with some of those... :)
Great images! I liked the tune in the first video.
ReplyDeleteI watched all of Season II of Bloodline last weekend, and enjoyed it; liked your review. I didn't like the Rayburn "kids" this time, although the darkness of their deeds and covering up the horrific secrets would make them less likeable, IMO.
Sally was certainly in another zone...oblivious to everything.
Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
It's kind of a different tune, huh? I heard it on Bloodline- part of it at the end of one of the shows. I was curious... I liked Bloodline but yeah the kids were harder to like, although I still like john. Not what he did, but... and yes Sally didn't have much to do. I thought they dropped the plot where her and Potts were sorta digging around, that never really went anywhere.
DeleteI like your space pics this week. I think my fave is the girl looking out the window, too. And I'm curious on your take of Gena/Finn, too :) Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I like that pic too...
DeleteI just finished Gena/Finn and it surprised me a bit. I'm looking forward to the review going up and seeing what people think. :)
I am glad you are enjoying nice weather, Greg. I'm already wishing to be inside rather than outside, as hot as it's gotten this weekend. I just finished reading Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere--not there's a different urban fantasy novel if you haven't read it before. I am curious about the BBC miniseries and plan to watch that soon. I hope you have a great week, Greg!
ReplyDeleteAS hot as it's been out in your neck of the woods, I completely understand! Thank you- and I do need to read urban fantasy...
DeleteOur winter has just started this weekend, so I'm glad about that.
ReplyDeleteDo you watch Orphan Black? I have been but have recorded this latest season we're supposedly getting fast-tracked from the US and really couldn't be bothered watching it. I think I lost interest last season... Am thinking I'll just ditch what I've taped to make room on my TiVo!
I hope your winter is nice and relaxing... ours seemed to be SO long. I'm enjoying the warm weather returning. I do watch Orphan Black. To be honest last season was a little disappointing, but I'm really liking this season, so maybe don't give up yet? :)
DeleteBloodlines sounds good, I may need to check that out this summer. My Netflix account is back up and running, so that should work well.
ReplyDeleteI also need to catch up with The 100... as I've only just started watching that one.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

Bloodlines is fun, and I liked S2 a lot better. The 100 is one of my favorite shows, and I think season 2 of that one is the best season. S3 was goofy at times but still good...
DeleteAll I can say is that I can't believe they are making another Sharknado!! (My dad will be so thrilled...lol)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!

Week in Review
I know right? Crazy... :)
DeleteI really want to read The Invisible Library so I'm looking forward to your thoughts on that one. That Cersei Lannister spoof was hilarious! I need to catch up on the show. I'm still several episodes behind. I have been trying to read more instead of watching TV because I'm way behind on my review books.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying the weather too. I feel like we didn't get much of a spring and headed straight into summer but I will take hot and sunny days over winter weather any day!
Agreed, where is spring? We seem to always go into hot weather anymore. Oh well... I'm looking forward to The Invisible Library too, I don't have an ARC so I'll be reading it next week when it comes out. :)
DeleteOur weather is nice here too. It was warm enough this past week to enjoy the pool at our apartment so we spent most of our time there. It was a great change of pace! How is The 100? I watched the first season and then we got rid of cable. I really enjoyed it :) It's on Netflix now, right? I need to catch up!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week! Looking forward to hear your thoughts on Gena/Finn.
My Sunday Post
Ooh pool weather- I'm jealous. :) I remember having a pool. The 100 is good and it is on Netflix- S2 was really good I thought. I gave up cable too so I spend a lot of time on Netflix and Amazon catching up...
DeleteI LOVE Sharknado, I watch it with my friend Mhairi and we laugh till our ribs are sore... But nothing compares to Avalanche Sharks, which is HILARIOUS:)). I love your pic of the space ship interior. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteDo you? TBH I've never watched em (well I saw parts) but they look hilarious... :)
DeleteMore Sharknado? LOL...
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying the summer weather, too... and the short week was a treat!
I know... MORE? Do we really need that lol?
DeleteI'm trying my utmost best here to convince my husband to get Bloodline for us. He's binge-watching FRINGE at the moment - I've lost the trail completely two seasons ago.... Hope your week will be good Greg.
ReplyDeleteI have just started watching series one of bloodline after reading your previous posts and positive comments. I have only got through the first few episodes. So far, so good!
ReplyDeleteI finally caught up on the Hodor episode of Game of Thrones, but I really need to watch last week's episode! I'm always behind! The Invisible Library looks really interesting! I hope you have a great week :D
ReplyDeleteHere's my Weekly Recap!
The Invisible Library has been tempting me. I definitely need to get my hands on a copy. I enjoyed your TV posts this week and am definitely curious to give Bloodlines a try. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that Invisible Library will be good... I hope you get to watch Bloodline.
DeleteThat spaceship looks cool or could it be on a planet? Who knows but the thing I love about these pics is how they rev up your imagination!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I agree- I love how imaginative they are!
DeleteAgain, I love the Mƶbius artwork. I am interested in The Invisable Library. I keep telling everyone I am going to check it out and I keep forgetting. Ha ha. I am going to make sure I do it today. I am listening the this week's ambient sounds and it is definitely my taste! I will have to put this artist on my iPod. Have a wonderful week. :)
ReplyDeleteOh good I'm glad someone is checking out the ambient track- I never really know if anyone cares but I like em. lol :)
DeleteI tried Bloodlines and couldn't get into it. I'll try again with Netflix. Sharknado 4! I can't wait to watch it. Such campy fun, isn't it. LOL Great pics as always, Greg:)
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
I'm very interested in The Invisible Library. Thanks for sharing it. Curious what you think of it.
ReplyDeleteDespite my excitement for it, I still haven't watched S2 of Bloodlines. Instead, I caught up on my shows, marathoned 12 Monkeys S2, and now I'm watching Hunters. Maybe I'll get to Bloodlines once school is out.
ReplyDeleteWe're having warm weather here too at the moment. Although the weather forecast says we're getting rain soon.
ReplyDeleteI like that 88.black.V2 picture. I like how she's looking outside and it makes me wonder what she's looking at or thinking off. The spaceship picture looks cozy indeed! Have a great week!
I liked that picture too, and had the same thoughts. What is she looking at, and where is she? Hope you have a great week, with great weather!
DeleteThe Invisible Library is one that sounds good! Love the pulp cover you found this week. Thanks for stopping by my Sunday post earlier!
ReplyDeleteI am interested in The Invisible Library but nobody much likes the narrator, so I'll be checking out reviews to see if I want to track down an alternative format.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to watching Bloodline. It looks good.
ReplyDeleteNice to know you are enjoying summer start. I am sitting here with winter sun coming in the window on my back which is rather nice. The bag and journal for the comic con looks fun although I am not sure I'd want to carry around the journal!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely feels like summer here - it's already in the 100's! Oh jeez ... another Sharknado. lol
ReplyDeleteIts hot and raining at the same time here so not very nice! enjoy the week.
ReplyDeleteOmg Sharknado 4!! Lol.
ReplyDeleteIt so much feels like summer here this week, with cool evenings and mornings. I feel like I am in Northern Michigan, and I love it. It could stay like this all summer and I wouldn't complain.
Enjoy your week, I will have to check in to your GoT post!
I like the pulp fiction pick this week-- both title and cover. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI just found out that my Netflix subscription rate is going up, but it's still worth it for all the joy it brings me! :) Waaaaay cheaper than cable. ;)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your thoughts on the books. With the nice weather sticking around we got the pool opened and some yard work finished. Now I can sit back relax and hopefully read. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!!
ReplyDeleteAnother terrific post as always.
Have a great week.

My It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?
Gena/Finn looks great! I can't wait to see your review for it.
ReplyDeleteI have a few shows on Netflix and current cable that I need to get caught up with. I can't wait for life to relax a bit so I can do that. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!
