This week's pick- Lipstick
This seems like a good topic at first blush but how many covers are there really with lipstick? As opposed to say lips. So I took a little creative license and looked for covers with lips that,uh, have lipstick on. Or whatever. So here's what I came up with...
This may be my favorite right off the bat... or was until I found a few others.
Probably my favorite- why do I think she's drinking blood?
I just needed an excuse to use this one as I like it.
I love these covers. I was tempted to use these style of covers aswell but ended up not using them. I think the Drink Slay Love is my fave though.

DeleteThis is a tough topic! I'm not sure I could have come up with any and I like your spin on it. I love the Ally Carter covers. That's a series I've been wanting to read. It looks like a lot of fun.

DeleteI considered doing what you did lol, finding covers with lips that are wearing lipstick since I knew I'd never find tubes of lipstick or whatever, but it still just wasn't a fun enough topic for me.
ReplyDeleteYou found some great ones though! Pretty Dead caught my attention because of the fangs lol.(Though why are they on the second teeth? And why are they so dull? Doesn't seem very effective.) And I like Drink, Slay, Love---She is drinking blood, btw. I haven't read it, but I've read the blurb, and I think it's about vampires. Nightshade is pretty too. But I think I'm going to go with The Lipstick Laws as my favorite. I mean, it's so fitting, and so RED! I don't wear lipstick, but if I did, I'd never get it that perfect lol.
Yess!! I knew that was blood lol :) I would almost read it with a cover like that. And yeah you're right about the teeth- never thought of that. Need to be way sharper... have you seen the image for the Pick Your Genre challenge? I love that vampire pic.

Those are some nice, sharp teeth in that Pick Your Genre picture! I actually wore fake fangs for Halloween once, the kind that you mold onto your teeth so they really blend in, it was fun lol.

I feel like she's drinking blood too hahah. I like the Sugar Babe one too. Speaking of which, it looks a LOT like the paperback cover for Sweet by Emmy Laybourne, which I also enjoy. And I think the last one totally fits- she is definitely wearing lipstick!!
ReplyDeleteIt has to be blood lol and Sugar Babe is great too. This one was fun once I stopped looking for the lipstick BS and just went for lips... I haven't seen Sweet but I'll go check it out. And yay for Nightshade!

DeleteYou did a SO much better job at cheating and finding covers with lips! I love the colors in Pretty Dead and I think that would be my favorite, although Nightshade would come a close second.
