Sunday Post #269

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer

It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Book Date

The Bookish Games roll on. We have now survived Three Days (well, some of us) and the intrigues are on. It is now the Night phase once more- when bad things happen. Actually when this goes live the Night phase will have ended, and Day Four will start on Saturday. Judging from Asti's cryptic tweet at @bookishgames there is something bad awaiting us in Day Four! May the odds be in our favor...

SciFi Month is coming! All of November will be a celebration of all things SF- hosted by Imyril at OneMore.org and Lisa at Dear Geek Place. I love SciFi Month and will be participating this year, again.

Movies That Suck this past week was Night of the Comet. Maybe one of the more fun MtS shows I've seen. Thanks to everyone who commented- now go rent this for Halloween! I may or may not have another MtS post up by Halloween- we'll see. :) In the meantime I reviewed Echoes this past week, and I'll have a Cover Love post on Monday.

  1. I've never heard of Sci-Fi month. I'm more into fantasy sand romance myself but I hope you enjoy lots of sci-fi books.
I have this large cloak perfect for red riding hood like your pictures. Unfortunately I don't really have anything to wear underneath like no dress so I'll probably not wear a costume this year.

  2. Good luck with the games, Greg. And I could get lost in these pictures. The shark and the siren is amazing.

  3. The temperatures really dipped where I am this past week, which is probably why those tropical art pieces are looking so good to me right now, lol. I especially like that real-time strategy game looking one with the infinity pool! Also I can't wait for Sci-Fi Month!

  6. I definitely love sci-fi movies/tv more than SF books for some reason. I might have to pick up something in Nov just for fun, though. Good luck in the games!

  16. I never cared much for The Night of the Comet. I first watched on Showtime in the late 1980s when I was kid. I believe I read somewhere that the film was being remade.

  27. Hm... Sci fi month - I'm tempted to sign up, but right now so much is going on that I don't need another 'thing' to stress about. However, I shall be paying close attention to what everyone is reading and see if there's something I should be acquiring:). In the meantime, I hope you have a great week, Greg.

  33. I simultaneously love and hate Bookish Games hahah. I am so cold at the moment, I am avoiding looking too closely at the snow pictures, and keeping my focus on ocean and desert!

I still need to read your MtS post, I have had it open in a tab for... well, since whenever you posted it hah. (Blame Bookish Games again!) I might buy Echoes soon. But do I need more books, that is the real question? (Just kidding, the answer is "of course, always".)
