FraterFest Read-a-thon

The FraterFest readathon is back, courtesy of Caffeinated Book Reviewer! You know October is the month for scary reads, right? And it seems like lately there haven't been as many readathons and scary events in October as there were a few years ago. I could be wrong, but it seems like a few have fallen by the wayside. And that's the way of things, but when I saw Kimba bringing this one back, well... I had to participate!

FraterFest is about the spooky and paranormal reads. The readathon runs from Oct. 11th to Oct 16th and it's easy to jump in- the sign up post is here. You can read thrillers, suspense, horror, mysteries... you name it. I'm still finalizing my TBR for the RAT but here's a look at a few that I've picked.

Are YOU doing FraterFest??

  1. I need to do this I think. Because I *should* be done with all my November review books by then, and I have always wanted to do scary books for Halloween. Maybe I will cave and buy myself Echoes by then hah.

  4. I'm serious thinking of doing this, I'll have to go through my books and see what I can come up with. The three books you picked look pretty good, I hope you enjoy them :)

  5. No I won't be doing this one as I'd have to do challenges, post on social media and change my Goodreads shelves to join in. Too much time and hassle for one week of reading! I wouldn't have time to read if I did all that! I am doing my usual Spooky Booky month where I'll be reading a ton of horror books all through October and posting tasty book and film reviews!

  7. I don't do well with challenges but watching everyone else participate kinds of spurs me on to read more without the pressure lol

  11. This is such a great idea! Each October I mean to start Darkhouse by Karina Halle and then binge the rest of that series. But I get too nervous and paranoid and scared and don't ever start them HA! Maybe this year will be the year....*fingers crossed*. Yay you for being braver than me and I hope you love these books!

  12. Who doesn't love a good spooky/paranormal read...especially in October? What is it about this time of year that makes everyone want a scary read? Me included. :)
