Sunday Post #129
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer
This week has been cold with wind chills getting close to zero at times. Got a bit of snow too but nothing major. I finished a book this week and almost finished another, so my reading is back on track. Didn't watch much other than The 100 (last weeks episode) which rocked. That show is back on track too.

That pulp book cover is a hoot! Back in the day so many of those covers were over the top. Would be a fun hobby to collect them for the smile factor.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed checking out your blogosphere links-- thanks and enjoy your week.
I love that cover, so fun. :) I thinking of collecting these as a regular feature on my SP's... they're fun.
DeleteGlad you like the links- I enjoy putting them together. Hope your week is great.
That pulp cover made me laugh. Too funny. We only got a bit of snow as well, nothing that really stuck around though (which is fine with me).
ReplyDeleteI know, is that great or what? There are so many fun ones I may have to make this a regular thing. :)
Deleteit is wicked cold here too! -5!!!! I don't want to leave the house but I will have to tomorrow morning. Then when I come back just cuddling in the sofa under three blankets reading :) Capita America is not my favorite superhero but I do like the other a lot. I've watched all the avengers movies many times :) Stay in and stay warm Greg and... write to the Immortals review!!! LOL I'm getting impatient here :) :) Enjoy your week :)
ReplyDeleteThat's even colder than it got here! Although it got close... oh and The Immortals review should be up (I hope) next week... maybe? LOL.
DeleteMaybe I can send a bit of our warm weather with you. I'm looking forward to the new Captain America and Bourne movies. I almost went to see Pride and Prejudice and Zombies yesterday, but decided I'd rather wait and see what others have to say first. I don't intend to read the book. I hope you have a great week, Greg!
ReplyDeleteI'll take some of that warm weather! I too am looking forward to both of those movies- hard to wait! :) And I've been curious about P&P wondering what people think of it...
DeleteI cannot wait for Civil War!!! It looks soooo freakin' good!!! Now, I have to ask, are you a Deadpool type of fan and did you see it yet?? That I want to see next weekend when I'll be near a REAL theater with stadium seating. Port Huron doesn't know what stadium seating is :(
ReplyDeleteAnd what is UP with the weather?? I don't know how much further north you are than me but holy cow, I'm not leaving the house until next weekend ;)
Have a great week!!
I am ready for Civil War too. I wish it was on like tomorrow. I have not seen Deadpool and don't know much about him, but I know people who have seen it and they liked it. And yes stadium seating is a must- I HATE going to theaters that don't have it LOL. Hope it's fun!
DeleteYeah the weather. I'm by the lake so get quite a bit of snow- sick of it! The weekend was COLD!
You're so casual about zero degree weather lol. No way would that be me. Glad you got some reading done though!
ReplyDeleteThe Naked Diver books sounds... interesting. I'm far more curious as to *why* they are diving naked in the first place than I am about the supposed murder lol.
I need flip flop weather. :) This week has been COLD. Yeah I couldn't resist sharing that book- I saw that cover on one of my book cover hunts and was like, seriously?? :P
DeleteI hope you enjoy your books...I've been ogling Sanctuary Bay.
ReplyDeleteThat single digit weather makes me shiver, just thinking about it. Stay warm, and enjoy your week. Thanks for visiting my blog.
Sanctuary Bay was good- a little sci fi- ish as it went on so if that's not your thing. Bit I do recommend it...
DeleteYou keep whetting my appetite for The 100 which isn't gonna arrive here (via DVD) for ages! I'm glad the season's going well though!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm excited about the new Jason Bourne. I didn't enjoy the non Matt Damon version so...
The 100 started off rough I thought, but the last few episodes have been good. I have a hard time waiting too... I'm so used to binging that now when I have to watch one episode a week that seems so ... plodding. :)
DeleteEveryone needs to stop talking about the 100. I won't even get the see season 2 on dvd until next Summer X_x Haha.
ReplyDeleteIt's snowing here now as it got a bit colder.
I like the cover for The Immortals.
Aww sorry bout that LOL. I find it hard to wait for shows too... :)
DeleteGood to hear that your reading is back on track and you are happy with it. You do quite a bit of viewing on the whole which of course counts too. My viewing suffers.
ReplyDeleteI am finally reading again after a slow January. It's kinda nice to get some reading going again. Hope your week is starting off well. :)
DeleteThat is a stunning cover for Sanctuary Bay, has me very intrigued! Have a great week and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteLaura @ http://a-reader-lives-a-thousand-lives.blogspot.co.uk
Isn't that a good cover? I liked the book too. Thanks for stopping and have a super week yourself! :)
DeleteI’m glad to hear your reading is back on track. I’m working hard to get my reading schedule back on track again.
ReplyDeleteI’m so jealous that you’ve been able to watch the new ‘The 100’ episodes. I still have to start the new season, but it isn’t available here yet.
Happy reading this week. I love the look of your new book! ;)
I had a slow January so it's nice to get some reading mojo back. The 100 has been good, but I feel ya- it's hard to wait. I like to binge them so I'm not sure if I'll watch every week or let a few pile up and then watch all at once... :)
DeleteI'm pretty excited to have Matt Damon back as Jason Bourne! The trailer looks promising too so I hope the movie itself will deliver! It's been FRIGID around here too, I'd much rather snow that this freezing weather. Hope your weekend's going great :)
ReplyDeleteHe IS Jason Bourne as far as I'm concerned. I was so excited to see him coming back to the role. Should be great. It's been so cold here, I am SO ready for a warm up. :)
DeleteI hope it warms up this week! It definitely is weather made for staying in and reading. Glad your reading is back on track. I have only seen the first two of the Bourne movies but I liked them. I am sure I will watch this one when it is on DVD. The same goes for Captain America. I really liked the first movie because it was set in WWII. The second one was okay but I missed the historical setting which is probably one of the reasons I love watching Agent Carter.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I don't want to go anywhere! Not in this weather. Hope you had a good weekend. The Bourne movies are great, and the third one is really good- I hope you get a chance to see it. I liked the first Captain america movie too... :)
DeleteSorry I didn't make it by last week. Hope your week went well.
ReplyDeleteWe've been really cold here too. And snow! We've been lucky though, it's been a mild winter.
You have some great looking books here. Hope you enjoy!
That's okay, Melissa. I understand how it is- there's never enough time! It's been mild here too, all things considered- but the last week was COLD. I hope you guys warm up, and have a great week!
DeleteThe Naked Diver Cover is FANTASTIC! We keep getting snow squalls that are annoying and an ice storm tomorrow. Is it Spring yet?
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, Greg! Stay warm! Happy Reading!
That is an awesome cover, isn't it? I'm getting a kick out of finding some of those. And yes, the weather here has been shit! LOL. I need spring now! I like a little snow for a while, but I'm over it LOL.
DeleteI actually don't know how I feel about The 100 yet. Mainly, Clarke just irritates me. But, I'll continue watching!
ReplyDeleteHere is my Sunday Post!
Molly @ Molly's Book Nook
Is she? I am a little irritated maybe that she took off at the end of last season- I mean really, where is she going to go? Live alone as a Grounder? It is kind of dumb I guess. :) So yeah... The 100 will hopefully keep getting better this season.
DeleteI'm excited Matt Damon is back playing Bourne. While I liked the last movie, it didn't feel like it belonged. Jury is still out for me on The 100 this season. So far I just can't get into it. I still need to watch Friday's episode, so we'll see.
ReplyDeleteI am too. He owns that role as far as I'm concerne. Sorry you're not liking The 100 yet- I was really ambivalent about the first episode, then the next few seemed better to me, but I know what you mean.
DeleteI hate cold weather so much! I hope you don't freeze!! Sanctuary Bay looks really good! I've seen it around but I haven't actually picked it up yet. I hope you love it! I am DYING to see the new Captain America! I love Bucky so much!! I'm really glad he has a big role in this movie! Have a great week :D
ReplyDeleteHere's my Weekly Recap!
It's been so cold here- ugh ready for spring. Sanctuary was good, I'll be reviewing it later this week. And I like Bucky too- with all the people in that movie I hope he still has a large role.
DeleteIt's freezing here too. I hate cold weather! I'm liking The 100 this season although the first season was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteMe too, I'm hating the cold weather. Glad you're liking The 100- I think S2 was my favorite but I'm addicted to it. :)
DeleteCivil War looks great, I have high hopes. LOVE that pulp cover - it looks like the female diver could stay afloat on her own just with her own built-in er, flotation devices. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIt does, doesn't it? And yes- she seems to have some "natural" advantages LOL. I laughed when I read your comment. :)
DeleteHope you enjoy Sanctuary Bay. Not sure what I think of Civil War as Iron Man and Capt. America are two of my favorites and I don't want them against each other. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading,
Stormi
I don't like the idea of them fighting wither. I'm looking forward to the movie but wish they were doing a different story.
DeleteI'm still watching for your review of The Immortals. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy DH will be interested in the new movies. I'll have to suggest the Adjustment Bureau to him. Have a great week. I hope it warms up for you.
The Immortals will hopefully be reviewed next week... crossing fingers. LOL. Adjustment Bureau is a good movie- I liked it anyway.
DeleteI hope you enjoyed your books.

Thank you for visiting- have a happy week! :)
DeleteI really enjoyed the movie The Adjustment Bureau as well. I think I own it actaully. Will have to dig it out and watch it again, as it has been quite a while.
ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning it and reminding me.
Hope you have a wonderful week.
I loved that movie! It was so different and just fun. I do need to get it on DVD, I wanted to and never did...
DeleteThe cover to Sanctuary Bay is lovely--it makes me want to read it, even though I have no clue what it is about!
ReplyDeleteI like it too (the cover)- it's a YA about a girl who goes to an isolated boarding school and finds a lot of secrets. Doesn't sound very original probably LOL but it's good- has a bit of a sci fi vibe to it. Have a nice week!
DeleteI've gotten horribly behind on The 100, I really need to buckle down and catch up. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Sanctuary Bay, I haven't decided if I want to read it or not. Maybe you'll convince me! :)
ReplyDeleteWell I thought Sanctuary Bay was good, and my review should be up Thursday. I hope it helps. :) It's a YA boarding school book with a sci fi vibe. Kinda suspenseful and a stand alone too- no series here. Which is kinda nice. And I tend to fall behind on shows too, and then have to binge to catch up. :)
DeleteI must be a complete softy because the whole civil war thing really bothers me! Haha.
ReplyDeleteWell I hear ya- I'm geeked for the movie but don't like the idea of them fighting. So yeah... mixed feelings. :)
DeleteUgh this weather is the worst!!! It is so cold - I feel I have been housebound for a while, I don't want to take the baby out, for fear he will turn into a popsicle. Lol. I am ok with winter, but this arctic chill is getting old every year!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny, but I know what you mean. It has been COLD. I was in Saginaw this weekend and it was no better there. Glad to be home and warm. :)
DeleteI agree The 100 is back on track! This week will be crazy weather wise - bitter cold to almost 50! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're liking it- although I missed this weeks episode. Now I have to catch up again LOL.
DeleteI wish that cold weather could come this way though!
ReplyDeleteYou'd never, ever get me to dive naked! That cover is hilarious, though, thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteI hope the temperatures are a bit milder this week, and that the snow is slowly melting so that spring can arrive.
Have a wonderful week and happy reading, Greg.
Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews
I keep hearing so many good things about The 100, I got fed up with it and the books but I think I need to have another bash.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is crap here in Scotland and varies from town to town, half a foot of snow at my house, twenty miles away at work nothing, I hate winter at the moment!
Love the cover on Sanctuary Bay.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a good week.

My It's Monday, What Are You Reading
Hey Greg! Sorry I'm late getting back!
ReplyDeleteGood to see your reading is back on track.
And a new Bourne movie! I didn't know it was coming, and will definitely see it! Loved the original movies!
