Sunday Post #491

Well this was the week I was going to post. Ha. I guess next week. No Krispy Kreme either.

In other news

Here is this week's lyric.

You'd have me down, down, down on my knees
Now wouldn't you

Here is the lyric f/ last week and the answer

She says I like the nightlife baby

  1. Playing your music tunes on Saturday morning is indeed an enjoyment

  2. Some weeks you feel like blogging, some weeks you don't.
But my condolences on the lack of krispy kremes :-(

  3. I can't believe I didn't guess the lyric from last week. The CARS! of course. Now that song is going over and over and over in my head. Thanks. And this week's lyric is from one of my all time favorite groups.

  4. True story - my cousin met and got to play guitar with the band featured this week. I hope next week brings you some donuts.

  5. Oh, Trailer Trollop makes me think of Ray Garton. Do you read him? At times, he has a bit of a Tarantino spin. Trailer Park Noir is quite a tale. Hope you are getting some rest this weekend. Here's to Heart Shaped donuts and more❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💗☕

    1. Ray Garton is another one of those authors you find in e-books, as of late. I am pretty sure he's published pbks in the past, just hard to find. He did some Buffy novels and he has a bit of a detective background in some of his stuff too. But I like his horror best.

  12. I hope your mom's doing OK. As for posting, sounds like you have needed a break. (I can relate; I was terrible at posting last year.) Enjoy your Sunday, and your music!

  14. It's amazing how quickly the weeks go sometimes. I meant to get to this or that (like taking down Christmas decorations, but it just doesn't happen.

  15. I also had such high hopes for posting this week but nope. And it's probably not gonna happen next week either, but maybe the week after xD Love guessing the song lyric but have to admit I'm stumped. Definitely intrigued about the song though, so I look forward to finding out next week! I hope you have a good week :)

  17. There's not enough hours in the day for it all. I didn't read a single page last week. Hope you get to Krispy Kreme soon! Enjoy your week!

  18. Sorry about the lack of Krispy Kreme. That's tragic. :)

  19. Bummer about the Krispy Kreme, though I think I have only had two in my whole life. We always ate Daylight Donuts. :)

Have a great week and happy reading!

  22. It was a Cars song last week, I was right about that! No news is good news, right? Hey, you'll post when you can, and we'll be here to read! Hope this week is good for you!

  34. Sorry you haven't been able to post. Those are some intriguing lyrics though and interesting lo-fi beats. Sort of reminds me of the music in the game I recently finished playing (Teenage Exocolonist).

  35. No Krispy Kreme! That's too bad. I tried to make pancakes and they turned out okay. Not as good as usual. I LOVE The Cars. Love them. I like the song you chose, but my favorite is You Might Think.

  36. I'm not good at guessing singers from song lyrics, but listening to that Cars track sure brought my youth back for a few minutes! I feel like I might know this week's, too -- once you tell us the answer. haha
Trailer Trollop's tag line made me laugh and think about how the pulp cover designers would summarize the classics. Then I thought I'm sure this has been done, and found Pulp the Classics: https://pulptheclassics.com/index1.php?imprint=8&isbn=&ebookid=796
(Have you posted about that before?)
Have a good week -- whether a blog post comes out of it or not!

  37. I really don't know my music lol ... no clue! I have to laugh because I know the feeling about this being the week for something and the whoops the week is over and it didn't happen. Oh well, try again nex week :) Hope you're having a great week!

  38. Speaking of Heart, I saw them live in Tokyo when I spent a year there in college. That was pretty surreal!

  45. You're going through a stressful time, it's more than normal not to feel like posting anything on the blog . . . You can be sure that if we were neighbours, I would have brought you a box of Krispy Kreme!
Hope things get better soon, Greg *hugs*

P.S. That's quite the Pulp Cover you shared!

  46. You posted a weekend post and that's something. :-) I haven't been posting much either. I hope you have a good week, Greg!

  47. Ha. At first I thought the lyric of "down on my knees" was like Eric Clapton and his obsession with Layla ... but I looked for the answer I see that I'm way off. funny

  51. Ooo that's what I should do on Tuesday since I took the day off! Get up and run to the donut shop! Of all the ridiculous things, the donut shop is not open on weekends, when people are home in the morning and have time to go get a donut.
