Sunday Post #442

Well I haven't posted anything at all this week lol. I miss the Olympics. I did notice last week there was a concert in Lord of the Rings Online. Basically players get together and perform in Bree. I kinda forgot how that was a regular occurrence. It's a nice touch. I wasn't able to find a good example on Youtube- there are some there but they don't really capture the feel. Anywho- been spending a lot of time gaming.

This was one of the themes they played though. That was fun.

  5. Wonderful stuff! You know how to find those bookcovers, too. Oh, I have been having to watch someone play video games. He's just learning. Although, I was worse at Riptide. I was going the wrong way and didn't even know it. So I won't be mastering that.

Thanks so much for your comments. All the best to your journeys in gaming and the depths of your creativity!

    1. Thanks for your comment. Personally, I have always felt there is a lot of hate that goes along with a relationship..except no one wants to talk about that. Anyway, there is always a certain quirkiness we all have, too.

    2. Thanks for your latest comment. Oh, the Ivy and Jay story is quite a saga. Perhaps, it was doomed from the get-go. For starters he took his best friend's girl while he wasn't quite the hero to his best friend's little sister. Yet, he usually has bad luck. Still, Ivy is a little wayward herself, getting mixed up with Lenny in the badlands. But she's got Dan now. Hope that's a little insight. Thanks again for reading and hopefully my writing isn't too horrible. More tomorrow...

    3. Thank you so much for your encouragement. I greatly appreciate it. Thank you for reading and commenting. And yes, they do have their past yet who they meet and the things they do are just as interesting to me too. Although, BL is more popular than ever. I still enjoy a good bromance.

    4. Thanks so for you comment. Well, I guess I been watching too many bad BL dramas from Thailand. On the other hand K-dramas have stepped it up with OH! Boardinghouse and Semantic Error. Naturally, I was inspired to start my own.. Holly & Stevie

  6. I love the Pink Panther Theme. I think Henry Mancini is an awesome composer. My favorites are the Pink Panther Theme, Brian's Song, and The Baby Elephant Walk. :)

  7. The Pink Panther theme brought back memories! I didn't even have to listen to it for it to be in my head, LOL! Have a great weekend!

  12. I took one look at that picture and said, "That's a Brothers Hildebrandt piece." Their art used to be really popular, especially their LOTR paintings. I had at least two of their LOTR calendars, back in the day. Seeing this piece brought me back to my high school days.

  13. They do a concert in Bree now? I was only ever aware of Weatherstock. Man, those were some fun times!

  17. I have been doomscrolling for the last few days

  18. Thanks for sharing all the LOTRO memories! My family is slightly obsessed with that topic, whether books, films, games... We used to play on Crickhollow :) Before the servers merging a few years back, concerts were routine in Bree by the Pony every weekend night actually.

And a Naked Diver finding passion at the bottom of the sea... who comes up with these plots?! Hope they have enough oxygen left. And I'm going to read your own story later on-- good work.

  22. The Pink Panther theme song was my ringtone for a couple of YEARS in high school. I loved it. Now it's Murder she Wrote. I kid you not.

Have a good week Greg and I hope you will manage a few more posts this week. Try Wondrous Words Wednesday... I'm sure with all your comics and pulp fiction, there are words that I've never heard of!

    Take care!

  23. We very nearly had to be thrown out of our hotel room last Sunday. We were watching the ladies curling final (on replay since it was live at some silly time in the UK) and the last stone was played two minutes before our departure time.
Have a great week and hope it includes at least one good book.

  27. It's hard to revamp when the Olympics or another major event is over. I just want it to go on and on!

  28. Love the Pulp Fiction cover. I didn't watch any of the Olympics. Now that they ended, all my TV shows are coming back and I seem to have lost interest. I'm sure it will pick up again. Have a great week!

  29. I love the old pulp fiction covers you share. That one is fantastic. I hope you have a good week-- We are living in interesting times.

  30. The concert thing is a cool idea! And I love the Pink Panther theme. The movies with Peter Sellers were some of my favorites growing up! Hope you have a good week!

  31. The Pink Panther! My grandfather would watch Pink Panther with my sister and I. Thanks for unlocking that memory today!
    Have a great week!

  32. I feel like they may need to add your post-Olympic withdrawal to the DSM, you take that hard! Maybe you need to find some kind of sporting event to look forward to in the off-years? I am so confused by the naked diver(s?) Are they both naked? Or is the guy clothed and like, recovering her? I can't tell. Also why is she naked diving? Wouldn't the fish be... nibbling stuff? I have way too many questions. The artwork is very pretty as always!

  33. Have a good week Greg, hope you find something to binge on now the Olympics are over.

  34. I miss the Olympics too. I've been watching a lot of replay YouTube videos😁

  35. It is weird to turn the TV on and not see the olympics on TV again. I guess I'll just have to return to the usual rubbish TV instead. I've spent a lot more time than usual gaming, I forgot how fun it is to escape into a game.

  36. I miss the Olympics too. I was really enjoying watching them every morning while getting ready for work. Hope you have a great week!

  37. I miss the Olympics too. Now if those baseball players and owners can get their acts together, I might be able to start watching my favorite sport. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  38. Diving naked seems a bit risky with nibbling sea creatures around!

Wishing you a great reading week

  45. I missed the Olympics completely this year, as in I didn't watch any of it! So sad to have missed it, but our TV reception is bad because we're too cheap to pay for cable that we hardly ever use.
