So the Olympics are winding down. I haven't seen much after watching tons last week. I like the ski events though and want to watch the ski cross.

I watched Night Teeth this week. That was a fun one. It's a Netflix movie starring one of the actresses that used to be on Mako Mermaids. Interesting to see her as a bloodthirsty vampire.

  1. I'm still watching the olympics too. It hasn't been a great games for the GB team this time around.
The Ursula K Le Guin cover is fantastic - I love those old school covers.

  2. Somehow this year the Olympics passed by me imperceptibly ...

  3. Great music videos, as always! And you've got me interested in Mako Mermaids and Night Teeth both. ~Lex

  4. Seeing vampires more and more again these days, and now you have me mining my memory for Mako Mermaids. It looks like something the kid would have liked (which means I may have seen it). Hmmm.

  5. We're still watching some of the Olympics as well. Have a great week, Greg.

  6. I definitely haven't been watching as much of the Olympics as I intended to!

  7. The elusive Echo Wife finally comes back! 😉

  8. Oh, the Russian fiasco. Did that young Russian fall on purpose? I think so. I think she knew what would have happened if she'd won. They wouldn't have given her the medal. Still, I felt the other two were in their own little world. The redhead demanding she should have been the winner while all along the one who won..no one seemed to really care. So now somebody is a hero. Really, I hope the elders will make smarter moves next time and leave the drugs out.

    1. Here's something about Declan: Hmm is declan a jerk? I may not know the backstory though... Quite possible..he was Simon's boyfriend but he always lived with Reese who supported him (gave him a place to live rent free..they'd been friends since high school and deep down Simon never liked the fact that Declan lived with his so called "soulmate/best friend".

  10. Watched that movie too. Not great, but good enough. Sydney Sweeney is in it along with Megan Fox; although I thought they'd played a bigger part.

  11. Because of how crazy school's been this week and now that my cousin is done competing, I haven't been watching the Olympics anymore. Night Teeth sounds like fun. I love vampire movies. I'll have to check it out.

I didn't listen to the whole song of the week, but what I did listen to and watch was wonderful. I love the music. It's beautiful. I think I'll come back during the week and just listen to the music while I'm reading or doing my homework.

  12. I thought Night Teeth was pretty good too, but can't say it's one of my faves. I give an update on a few of those on my final post. I watched quite a few events, but doping thing with skater was a real bummer for sure. Hope you've been feeling well these days, Gorgeous Greg, and sending lots of 🤗 hugs. RO

  13. I watched my first chunk of winter olympics yesterday with curling and the ice skating. I really had avoided a lot of it. I saw a little of the skiing which was cool, it was in the half pipe thing and have no clue what it was called but it was terrifying to watch.

  14. Stopping by to say hi! Love the music.

  15. To be fair I don't really watch a lot of anything any more. The Hubby did rope me into watching the new Spiderman movie and that was pretty good. Otherwise I usually have my nose in a book.:) Hope you have a great week.

  16. I didn't watch the Olympics this year. Don't know why. I've heard of The Echo Wife but haven't read it. Doing a spoiler discussion post sounds like fun!

  17. Seems like lots of drama with Olympics with drugs etc and weather 15 year olds should be able to compete any more or at least what I seen on the news as I don't watch sports.

Have a great week and happy reading!

  18. Maybe someday there will be an Olympics with no drama. :) I've been recording hockey so I can catch up on it. I'm too old to stay up all night for a hockey game. :)

  19. As I have mentioned, I don't watch sports on TV! LOL.

    Glad you enjoyed it, though.

Your videos are interesting, as usual.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

  20. I hope you have chance to catch the ski cross and continue watching Night Teeth. Take care and happy reading in the coming week. 🙂

  21. I still haven't watched the Olympics this time except for like maybe 5 minutes if that. I haven't heard of that movie because I don't have Netflix. Hope you have a great week!

  22. Haven't heard of Night Teeth, I'll have to check that out! I'm not a big Olympics or any sports on tv watcher if I can help it. Unless it is on in the background while I'm reading or playing games on my phone. Have a great week!

  23. Night Teeth is one that I'm on the fence about. It looks good but I'm in no hurry to watch it lol. As for the Olympics, today my partner and I are going to watch the final hockey game and that's pretty much it for us.

  24. I haven't watched any of the Olympics this year, to my sorrow. I would have liked to see the figure skating, and some of the skiing, bobsled, and luge. Alas, we gave up cable almost 10 years ago, and while we have several streaming services, Peacock/NBC isn't one of them. Oh, well, maybe next time around.

I like the first and third pieces on the lo-fi romance mixtape. And Ithya's Journey looks interesting. I'll have to check it out when I have time.

    Have a great week, Greg!

  29. I haven't watch any Olympics, but huh. You know it's probably not a good reason when even someone who got a medal doesn't agree with it. Glad you've been finding some movies and TV to enjoy though!

  30. I love the Olympics but I'll be so glad to get back to a more normal schedule now. And the weather will be good this week!

  32. I didn't know about Ithya's Journey. Gorgeous. I listed it to watch completely later. What's creepy is that about not more than one hour ago, I listened to another variation on Scarborough Fair!!

  33. Night Teeth is on my watchlist. Glad to know you liked it!

  36. NZ skier/snowboarders came home with two gold and one silver so we were pleased for them. All over now!

  37. Okay now I'm curious about the ski scandal! It's always interesting to see an actor from a favorite show in a totally different role. We watch a lot of BBC shows and I'm pretty sure they have maybe 10 actors so we spend have our watching time trying to figure out what we've seen the various actors in. Have a wonderful week!

  38. Thanks for letting me know about the new Blue Turtle animation and music! 👏👏👏

    Have a wonderful week. 🌞

  39. I haven't watched any Olympics for the last few days. I've been too absorbed in the audiobooks I'm listening too. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  40. I remember liking Ursula LeGuin a lot. I’m not a big fan of sci fi but recently read The Cartographers and that most bizarre of sci-fi / dystopia novels, The Book of M.

  41. I'm sad the Olympics has come to a close, but looking forward to getting my nights back lol! Ski cross was entertaining this year.

  42. I havent watched anything, but i think a lot watched when we got gold in hockey

  43. I don't have many channels on tv, so I was unable to watch the Olympics. I don't know much about winter sports (or, honestly, any sort of sports) but the ice skating and skiing always look beautiful.

  44. I will have to check out Night Teeth. My daughter used to really like Mako Mermaids. I can't tell you how many times we watched that show. :-) She's still too young for Night Teeth, I imagine--so not one to watch with her. I hope you have a great week, Greg!

  45. Boy the figure skating drama was crazy! It's hard to believe the Olympics are over already. I didn't get to see much other than figure skating. On another note, I'm not getting notifications of your new posts anymore, so I'm sorry if I've missed commenting🙁

  46. I just read up on the Fanny Smith drama. Sounds like she and the German agree it wasn't her fault what happened to the German.

  47. I don't know why but I didn't watch much of this Olympics this past week. I watched a little bit of skiing, mainly the slopestyle which fascinates me.

  48. I haven't had much time to watch the Olympic glad to hear you've been enjoying them! Have a great week, Greg!

  52. We watched a lot of the Olympics and we're glad NBC seemed to figure out their schedule a bit better so we weren't up until all hours. Or maybe nothing changed and we just started going to bed! I still feel bad for Kamila and hope they investigate her coaches. I had to turn off the TV when the camera wouldn't get out of her face while she was sobbing. That was too much. I know drama sells but let the girl have some privacy for her meltdown. We don't know what else is going on in her life.

It was otherwise fun to watch but we're glad to get back to our regular shows now.

    Enjoy your week!

  53. I haven't watched the Olympics. I find without a real television, I seem to forget to watch world events like the Olympics. Skiing is good but I have no interest. I've no Netflix either so there are shows people keep talking about but I've not seen so most of the time, I have no idea what they're talking about but I definitely have no interest in seeing any shows or movies with vampires. I still don't get why people like them.

    Have a lovely day.

  54. Night Teeth sounds neat, it's always fun to see actors in different roles than you're used to seeing them in. :)

Honestly, I didn't watch any of the Olympics. I know, boo to me. I've been waiting for it to be over so I can get to see new episodes of Chicago P.D. lol
I hope your week is amazing!!
