Tagged: Books I'll Probably Never Read

I was tagged over at This Dark Material for this and I love posts like this, so I couldn't wait to do it! Thanks JJ!

A REALLY HYPED BOOK YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN READING?

I was initially pretty interested in this one but now I don't know

Truthwitch (The Witchlands, #1)

A SERIES YOU WON'T START/ WON'T BE FINISHING

I have Six of Crows on my Kindle and I won Crooked Kingdom in a giveaway, but when I started Crows I only got about hundred pages in? I guess I'm just not into heist stories??

Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1)Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows, #2)

A CLASSIC THAT YOU ARE JUST NOT INTERESTED IN

That would be most of them, which sounds awful, but I've just never been a fan. Instead I'll share a few that I have enjoyed. Topping the list would probably be The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, the Odyssey and Huckleberry Finn. I would like to read The Count of Monte Cristo.

ANY GENRES YOU HAVE NEVER READ

I haven't read romantic suspense, or romance in general, although I like a good relationship in my books!

A BOOK ON YOUR SHELVES YOU WILL PROBABLY NEVER ACTUALLY READ

I mean I want to read this one, but it's been on my shelf for a while, and when I started it I stalled out. So I may try again, but it'll probably be a while?

Song of the Current (Song of the Current #1)

  1. Have you tried the Six of Crows Duology on audiobook? I was able to finish both while listening to them! And it's pretty good! The multiple narrators actually help. :)

  2. I am with you on Truthwitch! I have both of the Six of Crows books on audio and still haven't gotten to them. Maybe one day!

  3. I LOVED Truthwitch. The second book wasn't as good for me, because the two female characters were apart most of the book, and it was their friendship I loved so much. But, I do think I will read the next book.

  4. Isn’t it strange? I feel the same way about certain books. I have the Six Of Crows book, too, but I just continue to put them off.

  5. I think Truthwitch isn't quite worth it. I thought the first one was mediocre and the second one just dropped the ball overall. :( And I read half of the novella and it didn't work for me. Which sucks because I do like the author.

  6. I'm planning on reading Six of Crows this year, I do hope I love it as much as other bloggers seem to!

  7. This is a fun tag! Truthwitch... same actually. I own the first two books but they're in my "to get rid of" pile because I am just not interested anymore? Song of the Current gets better as it goes, but also, you won't like, regret not reading it. Same with Six of Crows tbh (as people throw shit at me). I liked Crooked Kingdom more, but... again, you won't be missing out on anything too wonderful? And same with classics, I think they are all pretty meh in general. I just looked up The Count of Monte Cristo cause I was like "hm I feel like that's long" and it's 1536 pages. Even GoT isn't that ridiculous!

  8. I quit Six of Crows at 100 pages too. I wanted to read about the actual heist but by that point it hadn't even been planned and I was so bored!

  9. Yay, I'm so happy you did this! I've seen Truthwitch all over the blogging community, but just can't quite find the momentum to get a copy myself. I did bow to peer pressure and get the Six of Crows duology, though. I've seen so many good reviews for it, but I didn't like the Grisha trilogy...so I'm torn! I also want to read Count of Monte Cristo, I'm just intimidated by the enormous page count :)

  10. I’m reading Truthwitch now, am about 1/4 way. Love the friendship between the girls but worried they’ll be apart for most of it. Great tag! ♥️

  11. Bardugo has quickly become one of my favorites - I've been taking my time on the finale to SoC because I just don't want it to end.

  12. I made it about 3 chapters into Truthwitch before abandoning it for good. On the other hand, I LOVE Six of Crows. I read Song of the Current for CYBILS, and it definitely started slow and more predictable-feeling, but really did develop into a good book.

  13. Truthwitch is still sitting on my TBR. I still want to read it though.

Oh no! I'm so sad you didn't like 6oC!!!! Wow. I LOVE THAT SERIES!

I have Song of the Current on my shelf as well but haven't been able to get to it yet.

    Cool tag!

  14. Mine are the Throne of Glass books. I have four of them on my Kindle, but I didn't know they were about assassins. I don't like stories about assassins. Ha ha.
