  1. Gorgeous artwork but at the same time I have a fear of being under water so this was simultaneously scary hahaha

  6. Wow, all of these are so awesome, I'd have a hard time picking a fave. Who am I kidding? You know it has to be the one with Lockjaw. BUT, you made the choice super hard. I love the artwork and am also fond of the one with the alligators!

  7. Oh these are gorgeous! I think my favorite is the Lockjaw because the bulldog looking creature in the bubble is amazing. The water adds some a fun element with the floating hair and everything. Such fun to look at!

  10. Great covers! Tho the Namor ones bug me because the style is more like independent covers instead of Marvel. I would expect that stuff to come from Top Cow or Image. I know there is no reason for it to bug me tho haha

    1. You're right- those don't look like Marvel covers do they? I wonder if that's why they're like the only Marvel covers I picked- they're so different??? Or almost anyways- I guess I did pick one other Marvel cover. Hmm... :)

  11. Wow all of these covers are sooooooo gorgeous. The ocean is definitely one of the most beautiful features on earth. I think my favorite are both the Starfire ones.

  12. I'm always a fan of anything water-themed so I think these are great. I especially liked the ones for Starfire.

  13. LOVE these, any cover featuring water is basically a win. I hadn't seen that Alex + Ada one, and damn, it's kind of haunting. Very nice though. I am also really impressed by the diving skills of the In Deep guy.

  14. Oh wow, there's a lot of water covers! I need to read more graphic novels - I love them. I'm loving that cover for Morning Glories. And I need to read Alex + Ada in general.

  15. The cover for Morning Glories freaks me out, because I think that'd be a horrible way to die! Great collection here, Greg! :)

  16. Oh Michael Turner, a talent taken away from us way too soon. All his original Fathom covers are incredible. His art was what first got me interested in comics.

  17. These are all amazing! Underwater covers are just kind of the best. I especially love that first one though! The whole perspective and the art and the cool mer dude. Even the Alex and Ada one is eye-catching in its simplicity. And I love the covers on the STarfire one!

  18. I've always found Namor under-rated - he's so awesome! :)

That last Red Sonja cover! Phew! *fans self* (And a fantastic example of how sex appeal doesn't have to mean sexual objectification.)

  19. Oh, my, that empty boat on the still water image speaks to my soul!

  20. Is the Namor comic new or old? I've really enjoyed him in X-Men Red, so I'd be interested in reading something that was solely about him!
