Sunday Post #181

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer

Another week in dystopia but at least The 100 has returned. Did anyone see Riverdale last week? I'm starting to get into this show. It could get very interesting. I'm still between shows on Netflix but with all the books coming out (seriously there are a TON I want to read) and some of the shows back I haven't exactly been bored.

Trust Issues IV is ready and should be up on March 1st. Why so far? Well I'm actually ahead that far and I'm ahead on reviews too. I have to juggle those with my reviews for The 100 and Riverdale. Because of course I have to review that as well.

This week I reviewed How Will I Know You? (short version- loved it) and I read Six Wakes. I mean clones and a mystery in space? Next up Winter of the Gods (book two of The Immortals). So it's been a good reading week. :) My reviews for Six Wakes and Gods will be up soon.

How Will I Know You?Six WakesWinter of the Gods (Olympus Bound, #2)

Song of the week

Last Weeks Stuff:

Cover Characteristics was about the Statue of Liberty. Tuesday Tagline and Top Ten Tuesday were fun this week and I discussed Does Time Dilute The Impact of Books? Also I reviewed How Will I Know You? and shared Bookcover Spotlight #87.

Next Week:

Cover Characteristics will look at playing cards. Tuesday Tagline returns and on Wednesday I'll be reviewing The 100 Ep. 2. And I'll be reviewing Freeks. Friday will be Bookcover Spotlight #88

  4. Wow! You've really done great job getting ahead on posts! I've added How Will I Know You to my TBR because of my review and that picture of the moon and the tree is super creepy! I really need to watch The 100 and I've never seen Riverdale but the title has me curious. Have a great week!

  7. I haven't really been watching a lot of SNL lately, because it's too much about Trump for me. I can only take so much, even if they make fun of him. I don't want everything to be about him all the time^^

    Love the mermaid picture!!

We don't get SNL here (as far as I know) but here about it and see clips via social media etc of course!

  10. I don't watch TV (with the sole exception of Grimm, which I love). I've been seeing commercials and advertisements for Riverdale, and I can honestly say that I'm curious! But not quite curious enough to start watching. If that makes sense. :D I spy the Millennium Falcon! Which makes me want to rewatch The Force Awakens. I loved that movie!

I hope you have a fabulous weekend, Greg! =)

  16. I... am not completely convinced that The 100 isn't actually a reality show at this point, tbh. I almost feel like I'd pick the radiation some days. Also, I have been loving SNL! I have been watching it since... Idk, a long time, like, when Will Ferrell was on it? But then it got pretty awful for awhile, so I skipped it, but now... it's like I can't miss it because it is necessary to make fun of this bullshit- I think it makes me feel like "okay, yes, everyone thinks this is completely asinine and awful", because sometimes it just plain feels like we're in The Twilight Zone or something.

I can't wait to read your thoughts on The 100! I actually posted mine early for a change. (But that is only because I have zero motivation to do ANYTHING else.) But I loved it- I thought it was one of the strongest episodes in a long time. Which is saying a lot, since I love them all ;)

Also curious about Six Wakes, that sounds so fascinating and unique! Glad you had a good reading week!

    1. For real? Like The 100 right now feels LESS apocalyptic to me lol? I'd rather have Clarke and Bellamy in charge than Trump! And SNL I never watch but now... I'm in lol. Exactly for that reason- if we have to live with this then we might as well get a laugh out of it. Plus we know Trump HATES what they're doing, so there's that... :)

Your 100 post is up?? Gah I must get there. I have... thoughts. Big surprise. :)

  17. Glad you had a good reading week! And that's awesome that you have so many books and shows right now, although then it goes to the other end which is that it gets stressful trying to fit everything in, haha.

I feel like every new thing I hear about Trump just makes me more and more full of disbelief that this is actually our president. Like, 5 years ago the man we now call our president was tweeting/obsessing about a celebrity relationship? Are you kidding??? And now he's using his presidency to Twitter-shame Nordstrom?!!?? What's even happening?

    1. Oh man I'm like swimming in books and shows right now. Make it stop! But yeah it's getting hard to schedule book reviews (which are like, the point of the blog) but I guess it's better than being behind like I used to be!

Trump... I just dunno. It's like a bad dream... that never ends. I mean could we elect anyone dumber? It's so easy to push his buttons too... I mean criticize him and he goes on a Twitter rant. I wonder when he has time to do his job lol.
