Cover Love Statue of Liberty


This week I am redoing an old post to highlight a post apoc look at a famous icon.

    These are cool. Whenever I see the Statue of Liberty like this I always think of Planet of the Apes.

    I didn't realize there were so many post apoc books with The Statue of Liberty on the cover. This is really cool. I'm thinking of Day After Tomorrow and Planet of the Apes as I look at these.

    I thought of the Day after Tomorrow when I saw these too. Movie makers sure love to demolish Lady Liberty, don't they? Although it feels like we've been burying her politically lately too. *sigh*

    A great subject for the 4th. I will always remember seeing the buried Statue of Liberty at the end of Planet of the Apes. 🗽
