I see Unfinished Tales on this list! I have been on the fence over it since ages... I think Tolkien couldn't finish the stories, so his son did? I wasn't sure after that whether to pick it up. And what's the name of the 4th book here? Is it from a manga/ comic? ~Lex
I love the purple on Eight Hundred Grapes, purple is my favourite colour, so I love seeing it on books. My TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2021/04/20/top-ten-tuesday-312/
I smile at people's optimism every time I see the Winds of Winter... I'm convinced it's just never going to happen. He seems determined to write everything BUT that book and is always behind and pushing it back.
Purple is such a great color on book covers. Although, I might be biased because it's my favorite color. Winds of Winter... will I be alive?! hmm. haha
Oo, fun to see those bright pops of purple! I think that's a very "in" color for design and fashion. :)

ReplyDeleteGreg, I liked Laura Dave's Eight Hundred Grapes and just started her soon to be released - The Last Thing He Told Me (it's pretty good so far.)
ReplyDeleteI just responded to your comment on my blog and said I can't even remember what the last GoT book is supposed to be called and here it is! :-D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful covers, I love how many of them have a splash of bold color to make them stand out!

ReplyDeleteWilder Girls was a trip! Really enjoyed the body horror YA. I still need to pick up her newest one. Great covers!
ReplyDeleteThese are all great but Tolkien has to be my favourite!
ReplyDeleteWilder Girls is interesting in that you might not notice all the detail at first.
ReplyDeleteI really like two tones - bright colored covers myself.
A lot of these newer illustrated covers are so pretty but get lost to me because they're so similar.

Purple is such a great color on book covers. Although, I might be biased because it's my favorite color. Winds of Winter... will I be alive?! hmm. haha
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say these are colorful covers but they are well designed
