This week is all about the holiday reads. Because yeah it's December now, huh? Christmas is on the way and yikes I gotta shop! But first- books. Holiday books. Okay, I can do this. I don't read as many holiday- themed books as I used to a few years ago, I guess, but I'll just list some that I've liked- or would like to read. And why do I like a little mayhem with my holiday festivities? Well, it's imaginary, right? So it's all good haha- anyway let's do this!
This one I still need to get.
Okay this wasn't really festive at all- girl goes through the ringer- but it's set at Christmas time!
Yes- GIVE me this book.
I need this too.
Murder and Christmas? Why not? Enjoy! I always mean to read Holiday books during the holidays and then don't do it. This year will be different. My Holiday book list
ReplyDeleteI take it that Christmas gets you in the mood for crime stories... these are all new to me!
ReplyDeleteOver the last three to five years I'd started to read more Christmas-y novels. I never used to (or rarely), but I've found I quite enjoy it now. :)
ReplyDeleteMurder and Christmas, just like The Santa Clause starring Tim Allen, lol

Murder and Christmas does kind of go hand in hand if you don't want to go for cozy romance haha.
ReplyDeleteNo Exit! I read it last year around this time and I remember it making me feel physically cold at points. Such a good thriller!
ReplyDeleteI never read the holiday themed nicey nicey fun in the snow type books-my list for good potential holiday reads are full of scares!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Those Christmas mysteries all look so fun.
ReplyDeleteI love that you included No Exit. And murder mysteries. No sappy Hallmark-ish holiday reads here! LOL
ReplyDeleteI love this list and really need to check a few of these out. Death Comes at Christmas and Silent Night in particular.
ReplyDeleteLynn :D
I really love that you have included titles that are all new to me! I am off to lean more about No Exit now because somehow this holiday queen has missed that one. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha of course it's the Brits who do holiday murder! Definitely could be a good idea to have a break from the Hallmark type story!
ReplyDeleteWhat a collection of Christmas mysteries! I haven't read any of them so I'll have to check them out. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThose mysteries look great and yes, No Exit was an awesome read!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of reading Christmas mysteries. How fun!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
I've seen a lot of these winter themed posts and I really am surprised how many books there are centered around the holidays! I don't seek them out so I guess that's why I'm surprised😁
ReplyDeleteI love the covers on the mystery books. So Christmasy!
ReplyDeleteLOL. I love how you included No Exit. I like how it diversified your list.
ReplyDeleteMurder and Christmas are perfect companions! I love this list.
ReplyDeletethese look fantastic and I love the covers. I'll need to look them all up.
ReplyDeleteHa! Love the theme you have going here.
ReplyDeleteThose are such wonderful covers! British Library Crime Classics sounds so...British and Classic!
ReplyDeleteSo, these are like cosy holiday murder mysteries? Look at that!
ReplyDeleteLMAO Jurassic Florida!!! I feel like it could happen. They have a lot of iguana's spreading. It's a logical leap that they would mutate into dinosaurs and take over FL.

I love all the Classic Mystery holiday covers! I need to pick up a few more of those. They're such fun reads!
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage-y covers - they look like they could be Christmas cards, except with, you know, murder.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking that No Exit is probably a book that I need in my life. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI really don't read holiday type books. I mostly read PNR and it's hard to find a good PNR Christmas book. lol
ReplyDeleteThese all look very Chrismassy. Nice list!
ReplyDeleteI love the covers on those mysteries!
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage look of those classics covers. I've been getting back in to classic crime novels this year so will take a closer look at these suggestions :-)
ReplyDeleteI so love these covers for the Christmas reads Greg! Perfectly fitting!!! And as far as romantic reads ...the one with the lady and the gun is ...priceless :-)))
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list of books! Love it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like your Christmas reading is spot-on...red on white, so to speak 😂.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind a collection of Christmas murders like these - I have some by Agatha Christie and Ellery Queen (two of my favourite vintage mystery authors), and I love the atmosphere!
Mayhem and Christmas -- I like how you think! these mysteries are right up my allery!
ReplyDeleteSome of these look pretty cool. :)
