  1. Yikes! This is a scary cover, Greg. I also think it's interesting that the watch is shown so prominently. I used to watch Charlie Chan on television way back in the day. Happy Friday! Hugs...RO

  2. What a neat cover! I like her night gown or evening gown (could be either, surprisingly). This book is new to me, despite the fact that it is probably old! I love the old covers, they're so distinctive. 😊

Have a lovely weekend, Greg! =)

    1. Yeah I think this one's pretty old. And it is distinctive! And I like her dress too- it has a nice old timey feel (the whole cover, not just the dress).

    1. I think so too, so much atmosphere- I even get the impression it's stormy out, the way the trees look like they're leaning?

  6. I love how much the watch stands out. I wonder if that has any significance with the story.

  7. Maybe if the house HAD had a key, this creepy murder-y guy wouldn't be scaring the actual life out of this girl. Just a theory. At least this lady is smart enough to be looking at the knife- makes it feel authentic, at least. Love the vintage, as always!

  8. I was focusing in on the watch too. I wish I could make out the portrait hanging in the background better. I wonder if its important. And I must say, great cover art. It tells it's own story.

  9. I like this one a lot. She looks terrified and the knife in the foreground shows she has reason to be afraid.
