I had a pretty good week, generally speaking, and of course it was Thanksgiving here in the U.S. I hope everyone who celebrated had a great day. Mine was full of turkey and stuffing and a mean Monopoly game that closed out the night. Other than that it's been pretty quiet, just healing and taking it a day at a time.
Sci Fi Month sadly is coming to a close and while I wasn't able to participate like I wanted to, I was able to hit a lot of the posts and still feel involved. As always there was such a great mix of reviews, lists and everything else. And while I didn't really manage many posts myself I did enjoy the variety of everyone else's.

DeleteGlad to hear you had a great holiday. We haven't done it in years, but I remember when I was a kid, Monopoly marathons were a staple of our Thanksgiving holiday too. (Probably to keep us kids from getting underfoot while the adults were cooking, but whatever, we had a blast playing it.)

DeleteHappy to hear you had a good turkey day! I love Monopoly, but no one seems to like to play it around here anymore, so you are a lucky guy. We had our meal a day late because Baz had to work on Thursday during dinnertime. He got out at 5:30 on Friday, so it was perfect. I am elated that we can now have book discussions during the few times we get to sit down together to eat.š“

I did, glad you did too. And I haven't played Monopoly in ages, so it was fun and nice to play it again! I even won, considering I started out with like two properties and a utility, that was pretty good!

DeleteI'm so glad you had a nice Thanksgiving and you're healing well. I really enjoyed my Thanksgiving too. We ate A LOT, lol and we watched movies. I had a great time with my family, and I saw Justice League, it was pretty good.

ReplyDeleteOoh, Monopoly! I haven't played in years, but have such fond memories of the game. One summer many years ago, I was staying with my cousins and we played all day every day for that week. (I was a child at the time). Funny how I more clearly remember those events, but couldn't tell you much about last year. LOL. But then again, last year had some horrific events.
ReplyDeleteNowadays my grandchildren are glued to their devices, and video games are their thing.
I do recall persuading the youngest to play the game of Life...but that was also a few years ago.
Glad you had a good Turkey Day. I had mine in two versions, as you know. In the second version, we had burgers and brew...or others did. I had a martini with my California burger (avocado, etc.) LOL

ReplyDeleteMonopoly can get pretty intense! We kept trying to play games, but there were too many small children running/crawling around and getting into things (mine included). We needed everyone's eyes to make sure they stayed out of trouble. I hope next year we can all get together at a more family-friendly home.

ReplyDeleteAny week which involves food sounds like a good week to me. I forgot about it being Thanksgiving in the US until I saw all the Black Friday sales. And Monopoly! The board games which either brings folks together or causes epic arguments. I'm not brilliant at it but I love that game.

ReplyDeleteOh no, your heart had to be treated or diagnosed? I hope you're okay. I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving. Did you bring a dish? My kids like to play Monopoly with my dad; it's really cute. My daughters get competitive with one another.
