Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back to The Broke and the Bookish so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.
This week's topic is All About Audio - it can be 10 books on audio, 10 podcasts, bands or songs, whatever. I decided to go with bands/ songs since I don't listen to audiobooks very much, nor do I do podcasts that often. So... here are 10 songs that I like in no particular order.
Dorothy is probably one of my favorite bands right now- I just like their bluesy rock style. And I love her voice.
Sometimes I'm in the mood for Moby.
One of my favorite bands right now.
Love this song.
Halestorm. Lzzy Hale is a trip.
A great driving song.
A favorite.
This band is hit or miss for me but I do like this song.
And another Moby tune. I always liked this song.
All, of course, completely new to me. I like that. Thank you, Greg.
ReplyDeleteHere's my take on this week's Top Ten: It's Me Again, Hank the Cowdog!
I like the Dorothy songs! They are totally new to me :)
ReplyDeleteAll these bands are new to me - but I'm not a bug music person. I love the sound of Dorothy though! Thanks for sharing the music too, it was cool tod discover music I'm unfamiliar with!
ReplyDeleteLove Lindsey Strirling!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog earlier.
I discovered Dorothy last week and need to download some of the tracks from itunes. I LOVE Deeper and Deeper and always have. I may have to check out Lindsey Stirling as well - she sounds awesome. Thanks for sharing some new songs with me.
ReplyDeleteI love Lindsey Stirling and Halestorm.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of DOROTHY before, but I'm really liking Get up! :D My Top Ten Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteOh you're right - Dorothy has a GREAT voice. I need to look into more by them. Here's my TTT this week. I ended up doing songs too, since I realized I had already done a list of audio books back in April. :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting list!! Great job!!

I didn't really knew these, but I really love that Lindsey Stirling song and also Icon For Hire and Dorothy sound just like what I like. Will definitely be checking out more by them, so thanks for the recommendations! ;)
ReplyDeleteDorothy is so awesome! I like Lindsey Stirling's stuff too especially her fun videos.
DeleteLove Icon for Hire! Their music is so awesome. Lindsay Stirling's music is also spectacular, loved her stuff ever since I was first introduced to her music. (And that is one of my favs of hers, too.) Like Halestorm too, I think Lzzy Hale has a great voice. It seems like no one listens to INXS anymore, but I really like some of their songs. I've at least heard of most of the other bands, except Dorothy - and I totally need to check out some more of their music because, judging from the two songs you listed, I like.
ReplyDeleteThat is my favorite Lindsey Stirling video bar none! It's just so fun, she has an infections sense of fun she brings to her music, I like Icon for Hire too, and I'm starting to really like Dorothy!
DeleteExcellent list. I especially like your Moby picks :)
ReplyDeleteSome great tunes there. I'll definitely have to check out some more of Dorothy's!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see Moby I think of the How I Met Your Mother episode where they think they see Moby and it ends up not being Moby (though the role is played by Moby) and mayhem ensues. I think it's in the first season for New Year's Eve. I haven't heard of the Dorothys but I love a touch of blues!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds funny. I didn't know he guested on that show! And I do love the blues and never hear it anymore, but I like it when rock bands infuse a little blues into their stuff. :)
DeleteI think most of mine would be 80s rock ballads. Great post.
ReplyDeleteI like a lot of those as well.
DeleteThe only one I've heard of is The Pretty Reckless! But i'll have to check out some of the others! Great list!
ReplyDeleteEmily @ www.rabbitholereviews.com
Thank you. Pretty Reckless is kinda new for me but I'm enjoying checking out their music!
DeleteWow, The Fixx and INXS brought back a lot of memories! I don't listen to them anymore, but I think I will add some of my favorites to my iPod because I have been getting bored with most if what's on there. Thanks for the Pretty Reckless video, I really liked it. :)
ReplyDeleteI kinda like Pretty Reckless too. And INXS is an old favorite. :)
DeleteI actually remember the video of "Don't Change" playing on MTV in heavy rotation. That is absolutely my fave INXS song!! Ahhhh, the good old days.... *sigh*
ReplyDeleteYou have GREAT taste in music, my man!! Keep the vids coming on Sundays, too!!!!
Don't Change is one of my favorite songs of ever... yup the good old days. :)
DeleteThank you! I will keep the vids coming (you know me, I gotta load up that Sunday Post lol).
Every time I think of Moby, I think of the HIMYM episode with "Not Moby" (I think this is only funny if you've seen it? Haha.) These are all new to me, but I really liked Roundtable Rival and You! Thanks for sharing these, I love finding new music!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it but Katherine mentioned it too and it sounds funny. I didn't know Moby guested on that show! And Roundtable Rival is awesome- I love how she tells little stories with her videos!
DeleteI love Dorothy, Icon for Hire, Halestorm, and The Pretty Reckless! Great
ReplyDelete*great picks!
DeleteThey're all great bands! I was just thinking today how my favorite rock bands right now have amazing female singers. I guess the women are keeping rock alive lol. I would add Paramore, Tonight Alive and New Years Day to the list.
DeleteOh Moby has some great songs. Most of these others I haven't heard of though, haha. Oops.
ReplyDeleteI do like a bit of Moby, he always makes me thinks of Twin Peaks. I still can't believe that the sweet innocent little kid in the Grinch movie grew up to be Taylor Momsen!!!
ReplyDeleteI love INXS, they always make me think of being a kid!
Loving all of these, especially The Pretty Reckless, all of their stuff is amazing.
ReplyDeleteDorothy is pretty great. I really love their stuff.
