Sunday Post

So it's Friday. This week flew. State of Art took 2nd place last weekend. St. Patrick's Day! I wish I was at my favorite pub.

And... Movies That Suck for the week is... The Mist

This week's discussion post is Would You Live Forever If You Could

Here is this week's lyric.
I was born to run
 I was born to dream

Here is the lyric f/ last week and the answer

I'm all out of hope
One more bad dream could bring a fall

   Song of the week

  2. Congratulations to State of the Art. I am sure it is no easy task placing in the event. My mother is of Irish heritage and big on St. Pat's (her grandparents were from Ireland). I will indulge in corned beef and soda bread with her.

  3. I have gotten into the soda bread already, this morning. Best I've had, probably because I didn't make it. That's great about State of the Art!
Oh, we did make an Arby's run for a Reuben and that was good. It's hit or miss at the local place for one of those.
Good to see your post. Such a vintage cover, too! Hope you get to relax some this weekend. Thanks for reading and your comments. You need to check out the Misfits sometime, lots of great actors started there. Happy St. Paddy's DayπŸ’šπŸ€πŸ€πŸ’šπŸ€πŸ’š

    1. OK..so maybe that wasn't so great for State Of the Art..are we talking basketball? I haven't stayed up with March Madness at all. Our head hancho at the sports department has to departed to Texas Tech..so that's the big news here. I guess Creighton didn't get as far as expected either in basketball.

    2. Robbie and Ruth were both in Love/Hate as well as The Misfits (truly a Must See TV show). I have often thought they might be together in real life..but they are actors and I really feel they both just want to act.. Hopefully, you read about Rainy at Ellie. I couldn't help but bring in a certain someone..so hopefully, you are all caught up. Went to Wall of Wine and Spirits today! Oh, my! That was fun. Not successful in my Barbie hunt at all..Not gonna pay for a Ryan Gossling doll for 30 bucks at a discount store..so the best deals I found were at Wine & Spirits..even came across Milka at a great price on the way out! Gonna have Guiness Stew tomorrow! πŸ€πŸ’šπŸ€πŸ’šπŸ€πŸ’š

    3. I'm getting The Mist confused with John Carpenter's THE FOG..now that was a cast..indeed. And I can't help to like John Carpenter.

    4. I thought it was color guard..but I wasn't certain. Oh, cold and windy here! Waiting for the Guinness stew to get done. We top it with mashed potatoes or is that the other way around? It does smell really good.πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€ Thanks for reading. I'm glad Maddie didn't want to be alone. I did spend a little bit of writing this weekend. Plowing through..I guess...

    6. I know what you mean about gettin caught up. I really need to write some on Holly & Stevie..I know what I want..I just don't know if anyone will like where it goes..but I should just do it. Hope your week is going well..spent 28 bucks at Windy's today..but hey, I've got salad for supper and I filled up twice on that large vanilla coke. Also got to see the pictures of the staff's pets and their names. Once upon a time, there was a feral cat colony out behind Long John Silver's (which is next to Windy's) but these days, not a cat in sight.

    7. Thanks so much for the comments (✿◡‿◡) The stew was the best! I will probably be paying for it the rest of the week. Since I don't eat that much beef anymore. Hope you are doing well. Dang, after a sleepless night..I really want to catch some zzzzzs but gotta tag some CDs today. Thanks again for reading. ❤️πŸ’•πŸŒΈπŸ©·πŸ§

  5. I've had a Shamrock shake from McDonald's the other day but that might be the only thing I do for St. Paddy's Day.

  8. I think murder is always done after hours, lol.

Some days, I want to live forever because there's so much I want to do before I die. But, I only want to live forever if I also stopped aging. Other days, life seems far too long and far too hard to live forever.

  9. Oh I should have got last weeks lyric! I love that song. Somehow it's vastly amusing seeing an Agatha Christie novel with a pulp cover. Have a great week!

  13. hmm, I remember the song Eyes Without a Face. I can hear the tune, but didn't know the words that well. I remember The Mist movie. Was a bit disappointed in that one too! Have a great week!

  15. First time I've ever seen a Poirot mystery with a pulp cover! I remember the arty covers from the '70s best.

  16. I might want to live forever. There are so many things I want to do. But only if I was at least somewhat healthy. My daughter insisted on a Shamrock Shake on our way back home this morning. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  22. I wouldn't want to live forever but I also don't want to die. It's a conundrum lol Have a great week!

  23. Hm... living forever? As long as I could stay youngish and mobile - and everyone around me that I love and care about could also live forever - and even as I'm writing it, that doesn't sound remotely doable or realistic. So the answer is no thank you. Love the Agatha Christie cover - thank you for that, Greg and have a lovely week:)).

  24. How did I not know that Hu did videos like this?!

  25. This past week did fly by! My days of spending at a pub on St. Paddy's Day are long over though, lol. We just stayed home and made a traditional boiled dinner.

  26. The truth is I kind of thought the book for The Mist sucked, so never saw the movie.

  27. Hu's Kitchen looks fun! We did nothing for St. Patrick's Day except have a lazy day. I usually like to cook something traditional. That's one of my favorite Christie books though apparently it was not one of hers. The publishers made her put Poirot in it and she felt like the book would be better without him. The play actually doesn't have him in it. I hope you're having a great week!
