Sunday Post

Hard to believe it was 6 years ago that I started my Movies That Suck posts. I remember talking about it with Shannon and her saying go for it. Now there's like 20 + of them. I think I'm going to share some of them for newer readers, and just to relive some good memories. And I replied to comments then ha so there was actual engagement!

And... Movies That Suck for the week is... Lake Placid

This week's discussion post is Game of Thrones

Here is this week's lyric.
I can't feel this way much longer
Expecting to survive

Here is the lyric f/ last week and the answer

Everyone's watching to see what you will do
Everyone's looking at you, oh

   Song of the week

PULP COVER OF THE WEEK:

  1. I totally agree with you on LAKE PLACID. So bad and so much fuckery. Lol. It reminds me to THE MEG with Jason Statham. I know LP came first, but since the sequel to TM came out recently, it's on my mind. The sequel trailer looked so bad. Statham literally jumped the shark. Ha!

Was Moqorro in the TV show? I don't recognize the name. I really need to read the books, but I don't want to start them until Martin finishes the series.

That book cover is hilarious to me.

  2. I saw Lake Placid, too. Now you are getting into movies I have seen. Impressive that you have done so many of these.

  3. Wowww 6 YEARS of crappy movies!? That is impressive! I remember Lake Placid! Mostly because of Betty White if we are being honest. Now I miss Betty White again. You really do find the most bizarre stuff! Ah, GoT. Remember when I said (probably also like 6 years ago heh) that he will never finish those? I feel even more confident in my assessment, frankly ๐Ÿ˜‚

  4. Sorry about the bad movie. I've been watching Korean dramas set on the island of Jeju and am enjoying them a lot. Netflix.

  12. I had so many high hopes for Lake Placid when it came out, but like you I was not impressed! The best part was with Betty White for sure! And yay, I was right about last week's lyrics! Have a great week!

  13. Six years since you started Movies That Suck? Wow! I remember your post on Lake Placid. I didn't actually watch that one, but the post was fun!

  14. How many movies do you have to watch to find ones that suck? I mean do 60% of the movies you watch suck or 20%? I don't watch enough movies to write about this. In the end I've enjoyed most of the movies I've watched but watch very few. Last year I think I only watched one - Die Hard (at Christmas). I need to watch some as we have a bunch of streaming services which I also don't watch but my daughter does.

  17. I'm not sure I've seen Lake Placid and given its on the Movies that Suck list I think I'll take a pass on it. I can't believe that's been going on for six years! Time flies. Have a great week!

  18. I still haven't seen Lake Placid. But I do remember your post about it. :-) I just finished re-watching Hamilton. I watched a short reaction You-Tube video and found myself getting annoyed that the guy kept talking over the songs. Figured that was a sign I should e-watch the actual musical. LOL I hope you have a great week, Greg!

  28. There are some truly terrible movies that I cherish, but mostly life is too short, ahaha. I admire people who can write wittily/engagingly about bad movies, though -- it's always so funny.
