Sunday Post #493

This week I finally got posting. I actually posted a Top Ten post as well as a Cover Love. It's nice to be back on somewhat of a regular schedule.

In other news I was notified that one of my posts was flagged for containing sensitive content  The post is here if you're interested. Lake Placid - Movies That Suck

Here is this week's lyric.

I've paid my dues

Time after time

Here is the lyric f/ last week and the answer

Hello

Is there anybody in there?

   Song of the week

PULP COVER OF THE WEEK:

  1. Yay for getting back to a posting schedule you were more used to. Funny thing about the tag on the Lake Placid post, I do recall that one and nothing sensitive really popped out at me. But maybe I knew what I was in for, given the movie (which I loved, lol).

  2. I thought blogger was pretty much a dead platform. How are your posts getting flagged?
    * wonders if I need to start writing outrageous things to get flagged too *

  3. One of Sam's posts at bookchase.blogspot.com got flagged last week for a book he reviewed back in 2007. How crazy is that? Who are all these oh-so-sensitive people out there that get offended over a movie or book review??

  4. Wow, they have some really good staff these days..evidently..going all the way back to 2018..LOL..I can't believe it. I was expecting some racy bookcover..this made me smile!hmmmm...
Well, we have had snow and ice..it's like I'm waiting for Game of Thornes or something....as in weather. I wonder how bad March will be? Some of the worst ice storms have been in March, here. Oh, wind chills have been bad. But I know it could be worse. I have had a few sleepless nights. Maybe it's the K-dramas I am watching. Although, I do like the Taxi Driver series. Thanks so much for being here. Thanks for your comments. I hope you have been well and haven't eaten too many donuts. But it really is Bear Claw Pastry season. Yes, I would want plenty of those while watching Cocaine Bear! Have a good weekend!💙💚🍀🌈St. Patty's day is coming!

    1. Thanks for your comments! It was fun at the local authorsfest. Nice to see so many getting published. Some were mysteries and science fiction. I had some fun conversations, but I probably won't quote anyone. We got interrupted a lot. Milder weather, but still a chill in the air. Bad news..I found out how bad ZERO SUGAR is for you. Ugh, and I still have my Valentine's candy and the jolly ranches are so good and so is coke and pepsi with Zero Sugar. As Morrissey says, "It's gonna happen Some day." No matter what. Hope your week is a good one. Here's to putting pineapple in your teriyaki chicken!

  5. This week's song is such an anthem (I am pretty sure I am right about that one). How does that tagging work? Does someone report your post?

  6. Oooh, you've been naughty! 😉 Flagged, go figure. And yay! This time I recognised the song of the week! Of course I did. Huge fan here. Also, as Sam pointed out, it's an anthem...

I saw you were going to post a review for "Station Eternity" (actually, it said "Station Eternit", which made me laugh, because for us Eternit is the name of an asbestos-cement compound), but when I clicked on the link (all excited because yay! Greg wrote a review! 😂) the page wasn't there...

  7. Pink Floyd is such a classic. The Wall is one of my favorite songs of theirs.

  8. The woman on your pulp cover has the most clothes on I think of any cover you've shared so far! :) Hubby is a great Pink Floyd fan so this brings back memories. Have a terrific week and find time to put your feet up with a good book.

  9. That's too funny about the post getting flagged. They're really having to dig into past posts over at blogger! I love the cover you shared this week. That car is fantastic. Have a great week!

  10. Do you think it is because you said "fuck"? Will that make THIS post get flagged now? Is it because they're still mourning Betty White, and the fact that she died mere weeks before 100? Honestly that is the only reason I will accept. Impressed that you got back on a schedule! I have decided I just never will at this point heh.

  11. Yay for getting back on schedule, my schedule was broken this week, LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  12. But, we LOVE Lake Placid. It makes us laugh, and it goes on in the follow up movies. Betty White is good.

  13. I saw The Wall in college and man was that trippy, lol. Happy reading this week!

  14. Always good to be back on schedule. I only know Pink Floyd..

  15. I remembered that post and just looked at it again. Why would the flag a post from 2018? That's totally random and it didn't seem like anything that would capture someone's attention unless we're not allowed to swear online anymore. Ridiculous! Did they email you? Warn you to take it down?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Congrats on getting back to posting! Don't you hate it when something is flagged, especially something that has been there for a long time. I've got one that Google tells me doesn't fit on a mobile screen, but it looks fine to me, and I can't figure out how to fix it if it were a problem.

  17. Pink Floyd is one of my favorites.....
    Thank you for sharing

  18. Really enjoyed seeing your posts this week! Hope you're having a great weekend!

  19. That's good you got a few posts up. Lake Placid! I like that one, I've re-watched it throughout the years a few times lol. Enjoy your Sunday!

  20. Personally I think people are to sensitive these days, and shoot that review was from 2018 and they just now think it's to sensitive?? Stupid.

Hope you have a great week and happy reading!!

  21. Honestly Greg I don't see where there is anything sensitive in the post!!!

  22. Oh another week where I know the song!! go me! Sometimes bots aren't as smart as companies like to think they are.

  23. I don't has to go on to google to comment on your blog anymore.
Yay to getting back on a schedule.
    Have a great week.

  24. Isn't crazy how they decide to suddenly flag something? I wonder why they flagged that post. I remember that movie. Loved the idea of the giant gator, but it was kind of boring as you mentioned in your review of it. I don't think I know the song this week, unless it is as obvious as I think the one part of the lyric says. Hope you have a good week!

  26. That "sensitive" post looks okay to me. I know this week's song! Here's my SP: https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2023/02/26/sunday-post-spring-is-coming-sundaypost/

  27. That's weird that they tagged that particular post after all this time. I need to get back on track. We've been sick and busy. I hope you have a great week, Greg.

  28. What on earth? I remember that Lake Placid post! I didn't even realize posts could be flagged.

  31. Queen! You and I must have the same taste in music because I can usually guess your lyrics:-) Sorry about the blog post. Do they make you take it down?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Weird about the blog post. I didn't even know they did things like that on blog posts. Great pulp cover. Have a great week!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm pretty sure that the Lake Placid movie is one that I never need to watch, so thanks for the heads up about that!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Sensitive information!! my word. Thanks for coming back to link up - I forgot to add it and then had a light bulb moment thank goodness.

  35. I like Lake Placid, but the sequels sucked.

  36. Comfortably Numb is one of my favorites! I love that guitar solo at the end. Have a great week!

  41. Who flagged your post? One of mine got flagged on FB, and I have yet to be able to post from that blog there! There was nothing offensive in the post! Just talking about books, and none were controversial. I got no answers to my requests about it. Oh, well.

    Good luck!

    Enjoy your week.

  42. I've never had a post flagged...hmm...I didn't realize people could do that on blogger. (I knew one could report a blog and whatnot), I like your cover of the week.

  43. Flagged!!! Tsk, tsk,, oh you, someone really had it in for that movie, lol

    ReplyDelete
  44. I wonder if someone flagged it or if it was just Blogger?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Weird how your post got flagged! I mean, the film is gorey as you mentioned, but pretty similar to a lot of slasher/horror films that get mentioned all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Wow! I wonder how many times I listened to Comfortably Numb! Congratulations on being flagged for content -- there's no bad publicity, right? Thanks for commenting on my blog today!

  47. Don't you love how they pick the strangest posts to flag? They are doing that at one of my blogs I haven't posted at in years... a family friendly blog. Hope you have a nice week, Greg.

  48. Lake Placid was soooooooo bad that Blogger had to censor it. 😆😆😆

  49. Congrats on being back on a schedule? What happens when you get flagged? I guess that movie was really bad.

  51. So sorry that you got flagged!! Lake Placid is a terrible movie. lol

  52. I had a post tagged that was literally a list of book names! Not sure how that was offensive but still.

  53. This up and down weather is enough to knock anyone out of their routine. And more is coming this weekend.

  54. I can't believe that post got flagged, how random! It always feels so good to get back to a regular schedule when things have been off. I'v been pretty off with my blogging/reading lately, so I understand that. Hope things continue going well!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Did they say what the sensitive content was? It's so weird it happened on a Lake Placid review. In other news, the pulp cover is just perfect! Why is she runnin gin the snow in a man's shirt?

    ReplyDelete
  56. I thought your review on Lake Placid was constructive so I don't understand why it was flagged. Anyways isn't reviews are supposed to be that way? To voice out our opinions? Hmm. Hope you've a good week!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I didn't know that blog posts could be flagged. I wonder if they use an AI to read and flag blog posts? I've had Pinterest pins get flagged because the AI thinks it sees something that isn't actually there.

  58. Geniales videos. Gracias por preocuparte de mi salud. Ya estoy mejor. Muy pronto publicaré de nuevo. Te mando un beso.

  59. A post from 2018 got flagged now? Good grief....! I'm still not really back to regular posting, but will try my utmost best to have more than 4 posts up in March!

    Glad you are well Greg.
