Sunday Post #463

I had a good week. My Travelers posts are underway- I'm only posting one a week right now. At that pace it will take me a bit to get through them. Is anyone reading those- and if you happen to be, what are your thoughts? Should I post weekly or try to do them more frequently?

I decided to share my Jaws movie art since that post this week was fun (I went rogue for Tuesday's Top Ten subject).

  2. Yay for good weeks! I'm reading the recaps/reviews - as I told you, I don't have Netflix, so at least I can live (watch) vicariously 😂.
The fourth poster...where the shark looks at the poor swimmer with a purpose...probably too anthropomorphised, but LOL.

  3. I wouldn't mind more Travellers posts, but only as long as you're not double posting each day. One post a day from a blogger is about my level :-)

  4. Oh, I love your shark week theme! Evidently, Sharks are moving in to the east coast so rampant! Such cool book covers! Love the Nymph one!

Thank you so much for your comments. I think I am better. I actually slept better last night. I like that you are dedicating The Travelers once a week. But I know..sometimes, you might find an episode you really want to talk about even more.

  7. OK, that top shark gif is .... creepy (and scary!) That's why I stay out of the water! :) Another great pulp cover and thanks so much for the visit. The Cleveland new release The New Neighbor is pretty good and worth reading.

  8. Makes me scared to go further than ankle deep on any beach! The sharks are taking over the ocean it seems.

  9. I've been listening to some lo-fi and ambient sort of music lately, so now YouTube is recommending me like every fantasy and lo-fi and space and similar music lol.

  10. Nope nope nope on the shark! I'm not the strongest swimmer so I don't go out in the water farther than I can touch (and see) anyway but absolutely not! Love the Fantasy music. I've gotten addicted to more ambient music when reading right now and need to add that one to my playlist. Have a great week!

  11. I like the Travelers posts and I think once a week is a good schedule!

  12. The second Jaws poster looks so innocuous. There's quite a contrast between them all.
I love the pulp cover too.

  13. Ooo I love all the Jaws art! I love that movie!

  14. Ah... the Jaws posters - now there's a blast from the past!! I vividly recall the first one going up around the town - and shuddering at the image, especially after having seen the film at the local cinema:)). I hope the coming week is also a good one, Greg.

  15. I actually participated in a Jaws readathon and one prompt of was of course to read or watch Jaws ( the book is more boring than the movie) so I watched the movie, it has been a while...lol. Some of that art work was pretty cool!
Have a great week and happy reading!

  17. Nope, no sharks for me! I must admit, I have not looked for any of your traveler posts yet, so I think do what works best for you, Greg.

  18. I need to go check out your Travelers posts now that you've got me hooked on that show! I love it so much! I'm thinking about it all the time! I liked the third poster for Jaws best, it was the scariest! Have you read the Meg book by Steve Alten? I loved that series. The movie was fun even if not exactly the book, but that's normal! Have a great week!

  19. I never have an appreciation for Jaws until I watched it for film class.
    Have a great week.

  20. The Jaws artwork looks awesome. I'm surprised Hollywood hasn't remade Jaws.

  21. Isn't it possible to add a soundtrack to a post?? Just imagine if you could add Jaws music to this... How cool!!

I haven't read your Travelers yet, let me take a look and I'll get back to you.

Hope you are well otherwise Greg!

  22. You know, I didn't realize that it was Shark Week this last week! 💦

Thanks for the Blue Turtle link. 🏞

Have a wonderful new week! 🌞

  23. The next to the last Jaws poster looks like a mash up of Jaws and the sharks in Finding Nemo, haha.

  24. I remember seeing Jaws and it was scary. I still think about it whenever I'm near an ocean.

  25. Even though I live very close to the Gulf of Mexico, I never ever think about sharks! I'm not sure why...I seem to worry about everything else.

  26. I'm enjoying your Travelers posts, but that's because I've watched it and it's making me want to watch it again. I'd be okay with more frequent posting, but I'm also okay with just one per week.

I'm glad you shared the Jaws art today too. Some of those need to be seen by everyone, lol.

I hope you have a good week! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  27. I went back and read the Travelers recaps you have posted so far and really enjoyed them. I think once a week is perfect as it will keep it going longer. I wish they would bring the show back--they would have to do so with a completely different cast, but I'd still enjoy it. Lord knows there is some serious mess for the time travelers to clean up since the series ended! - Melinda @ A Web of Stories

  30. I freaking love Marcy Ah how I wish they hadn't canceled Travelers. Sadly even the Travelers couldn't handle life long term in the 21st.

  31. I like the epic music.
Jaws is one of my favorite movies, and I checked out your post with the art. It's cool how each one suits the film.

  32. So you were paying homage to Shark week. I never knew such a thing existed until I saw quilters making shark things!

  33. As someone who just started paddle boarding, that gif at the beginning is a little freaky. Fortunately, I do it on a lake without anything that big in it.

  34. You have some great Jaws covers. Enjoy your week and your books!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Just post whenever you feel like it and I'll read it lol

    ReplyDelete
  36. I stopped going in the water whenever we went to the beach when I was a kid because of watching Jaws. lol

  37. I personally am awful at consistently being able to visit anyone so I've read some Travelers posts sporadically :/ Once a week I have better chance of keeping up, but I'm the worst judge lol.

Hope you're having a great week!

  38. Jaws still haunts me to this day! I used to be afraid of going in our pool as a kid because I thought Jaws would come up through the drain and kill me. Those posters still make my heart race in fear!

  39. Uy aunque no me gusta tiburón. Me gustaron las portadas. Te mando un beso.

  40. I don't think I could ever talk myself into wading more than ankle deep into the ocean. Too afraid of what lurks beneath and of the riptides.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Jaws was big when I was a kid and had me scared to go in the water

    ReplyDelete
  42. That first Jaws cover is iconic! Is it weird that I don't remember the movie very well? I had to watch it for a college class. Maybe I blocked it out because the professor was a jerk. :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Haha, this post reminds me of a shirt I just bought from Out of Print - the design on it is the first edition book cover of Jaws by Peter Benchley. I look forward to wearing it to the beach, lol!
