Sunday Post #426

So the time change is this weekend. I'm not usually a fan because it always takes me a few days to adjust- you'd think an hour wouldn't be that big a deal. In other news I posted Trust Issues Part Three this past week and also a review- who am I?? I also re- posted a discussion post- Do Werewolves Need A Pack- from a few years ago, to see what current readers think. Interesting discussion!

It's also SciFi Month all through November and my space station ambience and Dead Space review from last week are my first posts. Coming up this week I'll be doing a livewatch of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Trust Issues Part Four will arrive. Finally, I have walking tours this week. I hate to post more than one because who has time to watch these, but this week was a trove.

The rain seems so romantic in Seoul yet so melancholy as well.

And here is Halloween!

PULP COVER OF THE WEEK:

  1. I love the "fall back" time change, I guess I love the idea of getting back that hour we lost, lol. Have a good week, Greg!

  2. I hate all the time changes. I suffered from insomnia for like 30 years. My sleep patterns are delicate. Takes me days to recover. It's almost enough to get me to move to AZ (way too hot there though)

  3. I work this weekend, so this time change is going to be tough!

  4. I despise the time change, especially in spring. It takes me about a week or so to get used to it.

    Have a good weekend!

  5. The time change always messes me up, too. I wish we could just pick one time setting and stick with it! Enjoy the weekend despite that. :D

  6. I have never remembered daylight saving time until someone mentioned it. An hour didn't seem like a big deal but it is. I don't mind going back an hour, it's the going forward that I minded because it's like loosing an hour.

I've noticed you had posted more this month than usual. I think it's good. I would like to post more as well but I guess I'm too lazy.

I really like that Tomorrowland style of illustration - it seems retro and futuristic at the same time.

    Have a lovely day.

  7. Squid Game was just ok for me. Not sure I'll keep watching if they have another season of it.

  8. I live in Arizona and we don't "do" daylight savings time, so we don't have to change the clocks, and I love it!

  9. Me gusto la imagen de la sirena y espero tus historias con ansias. Te mando un beso

  10. I love falling back but it takes me at least a month to get used to the springing forward! You're right about an hour making such a difference. I haven't seen Squid Games but I've seen enough to recognize that creepy doll. It's terrifying. Have a great week!

  11. I think an hours difference does make a difference whether Autumn or Spring. It is what it is. Takes time for me to adjust to either as well. Enjoy the Sci Fil

  12. I put all the clocks back an hour, and changed the batteries in the smoke detectors. FYI: I've always hated the time change. It's annoying.

  13. I hate the time change too. I feel like the older I get, the longer it takes me to adjust. Sounds like Bill covered a lot of ground at that meeting. LOL Thank you for sharing the walking tours with us. I hope you have a great week!

  14. I also find it difficult adjusting to the clocks changing - not sure why we need to do it anymore - but at least backwards is easier than forwards. Take care, happy reading and enjoy SciFi month. 👽

  15. The time change always messes with me, Spring more so than Fall though. I love those mermaid pictures. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a great week.

  16. It's funny how we do the time change in Italy as well, but two weeks prior to you in the US. It doesn't affect me, but I hate having to wind all the clocks back and forth LOL.

That piece inspired by McGuire's book is great!

Looking forward to the next chapter of Trust Issues 😁.

  17. I hate falling back...I would rather stay sprung forward and have more daylight at night! :(

Have a great week and happy reading!

  18. Awww, the mermaid hunt :-( That creepy doll should go on tour to different parks. Love to see it here in SF Golden Gate park.

  19. The only thing I like about the time change is that it isn't dark when I wake up anymore!

    ReplyDelete
  20. It wasn't dark when I went running this morning. That's the only thing I like about time changes. I would not get near that creepy Squid Game doll!

  21. I'm not really a fan of time changes. I do have atomic clocks though so they reset themselves, as do the phone and computers. I'm excited about Scifi month.

  22. I forgot all about the time change until my partner's alarm clock went off and my phone didn't. Then I realized something was up lol

  23. Good luck with adjusting to the time change. We went back an hour last week, and although I don't really notice.. our kids did. Blegh.. it was the worst.
Have a great week and happy reading.

  24. I like this time change but I'd like to skip spring ahead, lol! Hate losing that hour. Neat pictures this week!

  25. For some reason scifi Nov is alwasy empty of scifi on my blog even if I read it. So weird

  26. Spring ahead is definitely preferable to fall-back but I love looking forward to snow now that we are retired. Have a great week Greg.

  27. We had that stupid crap with turning the clock one hour back during the last weekend of October. I´m still having trouble to adjust to it. Good luck with that and happy reading, Greg *smile*

  28. I've only watched the first two episodes of Squid Games, then got bored. But that creepy doll was a good episode! I don't mind the time change as much as dealing with my dogs who think it is time to eat when it isn't. lol Have a good week!

  30. I can't complain about that extra hour of sleep! :D

  31. November is a busy book blogging month!
Huh? There’s a Homosexual doctrine!? I was glad the woman spoke up until I realised she wasn’t objecting to the homophobia, she just found his descriptions graphic.

Wishing you a great reading week

  32. Happy for the extra hour!
    Chilling book cover!!

  33. I still haven't gotten to Squid Game -- maybe this week. I hate the fall back, though I seem to have less trouble with spring forward.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I don't like the time change either. I wish it would stay daylight longer like in the Summer. Have a great week!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Great photos! I hate time changes. I tend to have a lot of clocks, some decorative, so taking them down off the wall and changing the time is tedious. LOL.

    Enjoy your week!

  36. I hate falling back because it gets dark so early in the evening. Honestly, if it were up to me, we’d spring ahead in the spring, spring ahead again in the fall, and then just stay there. Double DDS FTW!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Being retired, the time change doesn't really bother me. I don't have a schedule that needs to be adjusted. Nice looking pictures and tours this week too. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  38. I sometimes think I'm one of the few that doesn't mind the fall time change, haha, it seems like everyone hates it! Love the Tomorrowland poster!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Great pulp fiction cover! I don't mind getting an extra hour of sleep, but I hate that it gets dark so early. I hope you have a great week!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I do not like the time changes! I wish we'd stick to one or the other.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Eh, my sleep is already such a mess that it doesn't make much difference to me there lol. It's the getting dark early that frustrates me.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm not a fan of the time changes either. I really hate that it gets dark so early now. Feels like it's time to go to bed as soon as I get off work, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm still trying to adjust to the time change. I'm so tired at 9pm, I can barely keep my eyes open! (That tweet you shared... some people need to mind their own business.)

  44. I read this on Saturday, and then wanted to watch that first Tokyo walk full-screen on YouTube, and I forgot to come back and comment. 😅

I love Standard Time because I get up better in the morning when it's actually 8am and not 7am. 🤗

I haven't watched Squid Game yet, but from clips I already know who Younghee is. 😯

    I hope you've been having a great week. 🌞

  45. I prefer this time to the DST in the spring, but mostly I just wish we could stick with one. I think the Tokyo Cafe music. I have it playing the background now.

  46. I am not a fan of daylight savings time switches. We did ours on Haloween weekend and I have only adjusted to it now. The longer evenings in the summer are good though.
