Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.

This week is super long book titles. I'm going a little rogue (as usual seems like) and am actually going to present some more Nancy Drew/ Hardy Boy covers. I did some a few weeks ago but I was actually wanting to some more for October- match up with the season, maybe find some of the spookier or mysterious ones. With Covid though I'm behind on posts so this is kinda late. Here are some of the cover images that jump out at me and kind of tell a story or make me intrigued.

  1. My older sister read Nancy Drew so I recognize some of these covers. So nostalgic.

  2. You're making me so nostalgic. My grandmother had some of these books, and she let us read them. :)

    Thanks for stopping by earlier.

  3. Oooh, these are some intriguing titles. The vampire one sounds especially interesting. I read a lot of Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys back in the day, so it's possible I've already read. Might be time to revisit these classics, though.

    Happy TTT!

  5. I love that you combined one of your personal favorite things to post about with this topic. I love seeing those Nancy Drew/Hardie Boys covers. I hope you're feeling almost back to normal now.

  6. I couldn't be bothered looking through Goodreads for long titles-anything too time consuming to research I just can't be bothered with right now! I hope you're feeling ok and get back to normal (Whatever normal is these days!) as soon as possible!

  7. I love seeing the classic covers, because those were the books I read. You shouldn't worry about being behind. You have the RONA! Get your rest and get well.

  8. I loved hitting the library twice a month to fill up on Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books when I was a kid. Great old covers!

  9. I knew you were going to go with the vintage ones! Love it!!

You should change your blog's logo or background to something vintage... That will be so cool.

    Thanks for stopping by Greg!

  12. Those old covers are so much fun! I have to admit that I didn't like mysteries when I was young so I've never read much of Nancy Drew or The Hardy Boys. That feels so... un-American!

  13. I remember reading some of these LOL! They did have long titles, geesh!

  14. I LOVE you take on this weeks topic. My daughter was briefly obsessed with Nancy Drew and the Kachina Doll Mystery--a bold act of defiance since her AHG Troop wasn't allowed to make Kachina dolls--ridiculous!

  15. I definitely remember some of those Nancy Drew covers from my childhood!

  16. I feel like most classic books have longer titles. They almost give away the entire plot just in the title lol!

  17. I hope youre feeling well!!

I love these covers!! Nancy Drew is the best and Drew was on my list of girl names for this new baby I'm having.

  19. Wow, short-wave radios. I haven't thought about them in ages. 😯

  20. Hope you're able to hang in there okay <3 I have to admit I haven't read any Hardy Boys or Nancy Drew before! But I know my mum used to love and adore Nancy Drew a lot :3

  24. I love these covers. They may seem extreme for adults, but as kids I remember feeling like I had to tear open the book right away and start reading. A feeling of urgency.

  25. I was never a reader as a child although my mom told me about Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books. At my age, I don't really know if I'll ever try them at this point. But maybe just try one.

  26. Danger on Vampire Trail -- that seems so unlike a HArdy Boys title, which makes me even more curious about it.

  27. Hello! I really like this kind of posts. I just found your blog and decided to start following it. You can come to my blog to see the reviews I write. Have a nice day :)

  28. These titled could definitely be over the top. Haha! I loved The Hardy Boys growing up!

  29. I feel like there's always going to be danger on something called a "Vampire Trail", right? (Also that one kid looks like the other kid's parasitic head twin, I must need sleep ha.) These are really fun though!!

  30. I have never read Nancy Drew or The Hardy Boys! However, I did buy a few for my son, so hopefully I'll get to them soon. :)

  32. I've always loved this style of cover! When I see one, even without looking at the title, I just know it's a Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys. Too fun.
