Top Ten 216

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.

This week is books that should be adapted into Netflix shows/ movies. Fun topic. I was lazy though and just scanned my shelves for books I've enjoyed that would be fun shows, so I didn't put a ton of work into this, but honestly? I think these would all rock as shows!

The Originals

3 girls- clones- who take turns going to school and pass themselves off as one person. Right?

The Extinction Trials (The Extinction Trials, #1)

I mean, the title all by itself...

The Blue

A yacht of secrets and a murder...

Ivory and Bone (Ivory and Bone, #1)

How many Stone Age type shows do we have?

Panic (Panic, #1)

This could be fun!

Replica (Replica, #1)

Same here!

Au Revoir, Crazy European Chick (Perry & Gobi, #1)

Perry and Gobi!!

The Secret History of Us

I love amnesia stories!

Glow (Sky Chasers, #1)

This could be fun too!!

The Shark Club

I'd love to see this done well.

Eight Hundred Grapes

It almost might have a Big Little Lies feel- minus some of the snark

  1. Great list. The Originals sounds like it could be a really entertaining series.

  2. Pretty sure from what I've read about her books, anything by Lauren Oliver would be interesting. :) "The Originals" also sounds intriguing.

  3. Hi Greg! And once again, I haven't read any of these. Please let them make movies of these! I love the premise of The Originals. But there was something like that... Not clones, but sisters that were hidden or something. I can't remember! Just know it was really good.

Happy TTT, here's my 10 Books that should be adapted for Netflix

  6. Loving this list Greg -- especially Panic -- that cover makes me think it would be such a good thriller! AND, Au Revoir Crazy European Chick -- weirdly that cover makes me think that it would have such an epic show intro!

  9. I loved The Secret History of Us! I just requested The Blue from the library, but I already think that would make a great movie!

  10. The title alone on Extinction Trials, should get a studio's attention. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/08/ttt-081820.html

  11. I feel like Panic was optioned at least, by Amazon, if I am not mistaken. It would be a good movie. The plot is compelling enough and it moves briskly with lots of action.

  12. I haven't read any of these! I do find that I wish a lot of books I read were a movie or TV show though. I want more! LOL

  19. It is exciting to make of dream list of books to be adapted. I've only read a couple of those, but I do agree.

  20. I heard a lot of great things about 800 Grapes - one of these days I need to pick it up.

  21. I agree with all of these that I read! I think both Ivory and Bone and Extinction Trials would be better movies/shows than books even! I'd definitely watch all of these!

  26. Why aren't there more stone age shows? Definitely under-represented!

  27. Au Revoir read more like a movie to me so I totally see that one. So many books have been bought for Netflix/Amazon so you just might end up seeing a few of these.

  28. I haven’t read any of these books, but some of them look intense or scary, so I’d watch their shows for sure!

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  29. Why is The Originals not a TV show? Female clones all living as the same person? Awesome! The others I remember you reviewing a couple of these and do think you’ve chosen some good books for possible TV shows. At the rate Netflix is going lately I don’t doubt some of these may make the transition.

  30. This is like the list of books that I really want to read but haven't gotten to yet. I literally own like half of them 😂 so I had real plans.

  31. Oh great list! I see a bunch I really want to read and from the sounds of it they'd all make great shows. I'd love to see more cozy mystery series either on Hallmark or on Netflix. They've been my comfort reading lately and I can't get enough of them!

  32. Oh I love Eight Hundred Grapes! It would be a great rom-com with a gorgeous setting, too. <3
