This week is a freebie. Who doesn't love a freebie? Well, me actually when I can't think of what to do ! After hemming and hawing it occurred to me that I haven't done a Movies That Suck in a while, and I have a whole list waiting for me. So here, in no particular order, are some of the movies I hope to do a Movies That Suck post about soon!

The Lost Continent (1968) [Blu-ray]

This one's top o' the list. Comes out in April on disc lol.

Sucker Punch [Blu-ray]

Has anyone seen this? Is it any good??

The Game

The 13th Warrior

Repo Man - The Criterion Collection [Blu-ray]

Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey [Blu-ray]

I know... it's The Hobbit! But compared to the Rings movies I heard these kinda suck?

Mortal Engines [Blu-ray]

I want to see it!!

  1. I do want to see "Mortal Engines" because I actually read the book (though I didn't love it) and I remember reading a TON about Sucker Punch back when it came out. I guess it's kind of an alternate reality type story...?

  2. I liked THE HOBBIT and haven't seen the others. I saw a completely sucky movie this week: LOBSTER. Don't watch it. My TTT list

  3. -I had HBO for the final season of GoT, and saw Mortal Engines on there and decided to give it a watch, it has some good actors in it. I turned it off the moment I saw that stupid Minion statue.
-The Hobbit films are the biggest betrayal of adaptations committed in my lifetime.
-Suckerpunch such an absurd movie that is trying too hard to be a metaphor or something, I'm not even sure what it was trying to be.

I haven't seen the other movies on your list.

  4. I did like the first hobbit movie but the way they adapted such a short story and drew it out was crappy.

  5. Ooh great tagline! I am SUPER excited for this one!!! Echoes was one of my favorite reads in 2018!

Nice TTT topic too! I don't know if I could remember the movies that sucked. Lol. There were a few here and there, but if I hated them I'm not likely to remember them!

    GREAT day!

  6. Great list! I agree - The Hobbit films were rubbish, and completely missed the vibe of the book. Suckerpunch could have been amazing, but it was rubbish.

  7. I didn't see any of these. I know I have not seen many newer films, but I used to watch a lot. I will have to wait for your epic summaries via Movies That Suck,

  8. I didn't mind The Hobbit movies, and didn't think they were bad, and weren't a waste of (my) time. I think I watched the 13th Warrior at some point, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is about *facepalm*

  9. I haven't seen any of the movies you've listed but I do want to watch Sucker Punch because I'm in the small crowd of people who actually like Zack Snyder movies :)

  11. I have actually not seen the Hobbit so I'll be curious to see your take on it because yes, I've heard it's not great compared to the Lord of the Rings films.

  12. OMG, THE GAME! Is it bad that I actually kind of liked it?

  13. I've seen the first two hobbit films and they were decent-good effects, some laughs and nice singing but I did prefer LOTR.

  14. The Hobbit movies weren't as good as LoTR. Do you think you'll blog reviews of them? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on them for sure.

    My TTT .

  16. I heard Sucker Punch was good, but I haven't seen it myself. I'm ready for another Movies that Suck!

  17. I've seen parts of Sucker Punch but don't remember much about it. Same goes for Thirteenth Warrior (but I saw parts of it aaages ago)! I personally loved The Hobbit. It's not as wow as LOTR but I still really enjoyed it. It's actually one of my go to comfort/hangover movies alongside LOTR 😂 Great take on today's freebie!

  18. I wasn't a fan of The Game either. I think I saw that one with friends at the theater back in the day.

  19. The 13th Warrior I know I've seen and I think I liked.

  23. I've seen most of these *shocker* and yeah...none of them are great lol But not awful either so...

And I still think you should do Barbarella. It's as batshit as that comic you keep reviewing lol

  24. These look fun with the exception of The Hobbit which I've heard was too dull to be entertainingly bad. I'll be interested in your take of it though!

  25. Well you know .... I strangely liked Suckerpunch LOL

  26. Hmm, The Lost Continent sounds good, but too bad. I don't even know if I remember hearing about it? LOL! Fun list!

  28. I actually really liked The 13th Warrior! :)

The first Hobbit movie is the best of that series and Mortal Engines isn't too bad. I can't wait to see what you think of them.

  29. I haven't watched The Hobbit movies for the same reason. Have you seen the old animated movie? It was really good. 👍✨

  30. I haven't seen any of these movies. I'm surprised The Game sucked because I love Michael Douglas. I've been wanting to see Mortal Engines. Fun topic Greg!

  34. I do enjoy your movies that suck posts! They make me laugh and I sorely need more laughs at the moment! I hope you get around to watching these soon. :)

  35. HA these really DO look terrible! I still need to watch The Game- hopefully I get to it before your post, I don't think I have ever seen a movie that you have done a post on except that one time that you tried to pretend that Mean Girls sucked. Which I do not count for obvious reasons.

  36. Hey! Do not diss my Hobbit! ;)

ALso, I liked 13 warrior, cos it was bad, bad is best :D
