Top Ten Awesome Books With Less Than 2,000 Ratings

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by
That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back to The Broke and the Bookish so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.

This week is Top Ten books I loved with fewer than 2000 ratings on GR.

The Extinction Trials (The Extinction Trials, #1)

This has less than a 1,000 as I write this which astonishes me.

Exile (The Extinction Trials #2)

The Window

Bad Girls with Perfect Faces

I cannot believe this bad boy (er, bad girl) has only 1,959 ratings.

What She Saw

The Wanderers

The Pack (The Wanderers, #2)

12! Wow I knew this one sorta flew under the radar but this is ridic.

Lost Girls

Deadfall (Blackbird, #2)

Obsidian and Stars (Ivory and Bone, #2)

  1. Hunger Games meets Jurassic Park. Interesting combo.

  2. It's always fabulous when we have the chance to spotlight books that are underrated. I haven't read any of these nor are many familiar, but I do think I've seen Julie's on some lists. It looks really interesting so obviously, I'll have to remember to take a closer look. :)

    1. I liked Julie's books, both were just average for me, more or less, at the time but as time goes on I do think of them fondly, so I must have liked them more than I thought!

  3. I haven't tried any of these but I do want to pick up The Extinction Trials.

  4. I want to try Window. It's always surprising to me which ones don't have that many ratings. Great list.

  8. I haven't read any of these books. I'm glad that they're worth reading though. It's good to highlight those lesser known books. My TTT

  9. What a great way to highlight under rated books. I do try and read indie books - many are under the radar because the author is unknown but well written. Haven’t read any of these but I seem to remember Obsidian and Stars. Thanks Greg! 👍🏻

    1. Obsidian and Stars was good- I don't get to read very many books (especially ya) set in Ice Age or prehistoric so it was nice. And I need to read more indies.

  11. Wow! 12 ratings IS ridiculous. That's like your closest friends and family and nobody else.

  12. I thought more people would be reading the Extinction Trials! The covers are gorgeous, the plot is interesting...I loved the three books!

  13. Great list! I haven't heard of quite a few of these so I'll have to check them out.

  14. I am surprised to see Bad Girls did not break 2000 (though it's really close). I thought that book was fantastic.

  17. Yep, The Extinction Trials is excellent. I'm really surprised it didn't take off more. I thought it would ride the Jurassic World hype.

  18. The Window sounds intriguing! I'll have to check it out. Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.

  19. I liked The Extinction Trials, too! I've only read the first one in that series so far, though.

  21. I know, I was so shocked at my results, less than 50 ratings actually. I would have liked to know a bit about why you liked so much these books. My post is here: https://wordsandpeace.com/2019/02/19/top-ten-underrated-books/

  23. I still haven't read Extinction Trials. I need to. And I didn't care much for Bad Girls with Perfect Faces. I wanted to read the Window. There's a few others I haven't heard of that I'm going to add to my TBR. Great list!

  25. I think I remember your review of Bad Girls with Perfect Faces. :) Isn't it interesting what books get all the pub and those that don't? I hadn't heard of a lot of the books on your list. But I'll be taking a look. ;)

  26. I'm always so intrigued by The Extinction Trials's cover.

  27. I can't believe I still haven't gotten to The Extinction Trials yet, I really need my library to buy it, haha. There are a lot on here I've been meaning to check out, I'm really surprised by some that have less than 2,000 ratings also!

  28. It surprises me that all of these books have less than 2,000 ratings. Really?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Nope I haven’t read any of your hidden gems. I did want to read the Exctinction Trials but I couldn’t get it from my library. Argh.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I've seen the extinction trials around a lot of blogs. I'm surprised it's under 2000! I like the sounds of them too... Fun premise.

    ReplyDelete
  31. You talk about The Extinction Trials so often that I feel like I HAVE to read it! I'm definitely super curious!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Only 12!?!? Wow. I know some of the ones I looked at were alarmingly low and it made me very sad. It kind of puts how difficult publishing is in perspective, that's for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The title and covers of The Extinction Trials are interesting! I feel like I've heard you talk about it before... I should put it on my TBR!

    ReplyDelete
  34. The Extinction Trials always sound so good. I'm surprised they don't have more ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I haven't read any of this! I do need to read Obsidian & Stars sometime because I have read the first book. I also own Blackbird, so I will probably read Deadfall after I read that one. Otherwise, I'm unfamiliar with many of these books! I'll have to check them out!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Despite how much I heard about The Extinction Trials they do seem to fly under the radar a bit when it comes to reviews and bloggers still talking about it (except you ;) )

    ReplyDelete
  37. Bad Girls with Perfect faces! How could I forget that cover!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Wow, I'm super surprised The Extinction Trials books have less than 2000 ratings on Goodreads! 😯

  39. I don't know any of these, but I'm super intrigued!! I love finding underrated books, so I'm definitely adding these to my list!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Gah! Some of these look great, but you don't have links to Goodreads on any of them, so I can't really check them out (quickly.) Also I wanted to thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment earlier.

  41. I see the Extinction Trials EVERYWHERE so that surprises me. I thought it was a best seller.

  42. It is often times surprising when we check the ratings of a book, only to realise it has a lot less interest than we would have perhaps thought. The Extinction Trials does surprise me... Although not read it myself, I feel like I have heard many people talk about it.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Damn, I don't know any of these books. Which kind of proves the point of this topic. Thanks for the recommendations!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm honestly SO SHOCKED about some of these. When I was going through mine, too, I was like HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE MORE RATINGS? So many good books. This weeks topic was awesome because we get to hype up a lot of underhyped books and basically throw them at our readers without actually throwing them, haha.

  45. There are a bunch I would love to read there. I should start taking part in this one.

  46. All of these have been on my TBR list for such a long time but, I haven't gotten around to picking them up yet! I'm extremely interested in Bad Girls with Perfect Faces because it's so intriguing! Even the title makes you wanna read it! Hope you have a wonderful week!
