Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! This week flew by and I've been flying through the books too. I read Polaris Rising and a slew of graphic novels, and the new Extinction Trials arrived. So my weekend reading is sorted. :)

I also read The Santa Klaus Murder and enjoyed it a lot. It was my first foray into the British Library Crime Classics and it was definitely a good start. I'll be collecting those (I love the cover art) and reviewing some as well, including The Santa Klaus Murder this week.

This past week I shared some thoughts on Ambient Music- that was a fun post to do- and posted Book Beginnings #4. I also reviewed Watcher in the Woods. This coming week will have a post on dreams and The Santa Klaus Murder.

  25. Did you like Polaris Rising? I love to cover to The Extinction Trials Rebel! It does seem like the beginning of this year (which usually feels feels like it drags on and on) is going by so fast!

    1. I did like Polaris rising! It was a smidgen more romance-based than a lot of stuff I read, but it worked. And it's a pretty rollicking space opera also!

  36. It does sound like you've been doing some good reading! As usual, love the futuristic/cyberpunk art. My pirate name is Pegleg Sparrow Jackson lol.

  37. Name generators are sooooo fun: I like my Heroic name: Aralot the Undefeated but my pirate one? Not so much: Yerr Kidd Beard.

Love the northern trader art this week. We were going to go out to dinner over the weekend but my bad cold and the bad weather made us change our minds. We ordered a pizza instead. LOL

  38. It's funny but I almost forgot this week was Valentines Day until I read all the Sunday Posts. We don't really celebrate it since my birthday is on the 11th, and my kids are old enough that they don't celebrate at school or anything. So I basically forgot it existed! :-)

  39. Happy Valentine's Day! I'll be curious to hear what you thought of Polaris Rising. The publisher is really pushing it as sci-fi when it's solidly sci-fi romance. We've been discussing it in the SFR circles. :)
