Can someone just slow the May train down so I can get off? I mean we're pushing mid- May already. But in reading news I've been doing okay, trying to get through all the recent releases I need want to  read. Plus the shows- The 100, Riverdale, and about a zillion others I'm currently into. Not that I mind. :) Can I say that The 100 is rocking it this season? Seriously, season 5 is amazing so far!

This past week Movies That Suck looked at Kong: Skull Island. Next up is Before I Fall, based on the Lauren Oliver book (which I haven't read). Has anyone seen the movie? I of course will have some thoughts on Thursday. :) Also this week I'll be starting my review of Star Trek: The Animated Series and I'll have a post on Sexy Song Lyrics as well.

  1. If only books were still $.25 Greg. (lol) I feel like May is slipping through my fingers too. Before I Fall received many good reviews, but for the life of me, I just couldn't get into it. Looking forward to seeing what you think of it. Happy Saturday and Hugs...RO

    1. I know! Did you see mixed reviews for the book, or for the movie? I wonder about both, but I'm gonna watch the movie even though I haven't read it. Although normally I prefer the book first...

  7. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Sky in the Deep. So many mixed reviews so I keep waffling. I might request it from the library instead of buying.

  8. I've read Before I Fall and I can't remember if I liked it or not cos I've read two of her books, 1 did like, the other I didn't. I didn't know there was a movie, will check that out so looking forward to your thoughts.

I'm also looking forward to Rachel Vincent's new book, looks really interesting.

  10. That rolling ocean picture made me dizzy!

The girls all lined up in red dresses on the cover of Strange New World made me think of The Handmaid's Tale. LOL

I haven't read Before I Fall, but I saw (and enjoyed) the movie.

Have a great week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

    1. Did it? I can kinda see that... once I looked at it it did me too! And yes that totally looks like the Handmaid's Tale- so true!

I'm glad you liked the movie, I hope to as well.

    2. I thought Handmaid's Tale too. Is it the same shade of red?

  12. Ugh did you get Strange New World then? Jealousss. I shall have to wait until... Idk, it is on sale or I am not broke haha. Agreed about The 100, of course! I saw and read Before I Fall. I really liked the book. The movie... I don't know, it was kind of meh for me? I am looking forward to your thoughts though! Also did you really review Menagerie? Because I could definitely be losing my mind, but I don't see it anywhere! And I've been quite curious about that one. Love the minimalist posters too, and also the ones with moving water because of course.

  15. I got hypnotized by that water. LOL I agree, May is speeding by. it's really heating up here. Spring was brief and its been around 90 and sunny all week. I hate to say it but we need rain! Already having to water all the plants. And I'm playing catch up with review reads too. I need to get blogging ahead as summer is a busy time for me. Loving the pics this week too.

  16. Hah, Starfield! However, my reference will be completely unrelated, lol. I'm reading Geekerella, and instead of Star Wars or Star Trek, they have Starfield! It's spacey and has dark nebulas--pretty awesome. I actually think it's a book you'd enjoy!

I'm looking forward to your review of Sky in the Deep! :)

  17. Seriously it feels like wer'e only a third through the year but it's actually almost half? I finished all 4 seasons of Peaky Blinders and need a new show to watch whenever I don't feel like reading or w/e, and I'm thinking I might try The 100 since you and Shannon talk about it so much!

  31. Before I Fall? That film was ok and it kept pretty close to the book. I was annoyed by the books ending, though, so I felt the same about the film. It was an interesting watch at least. Some cool new books on here can't wait to see your thoughts. And loving that fire picture, I could stare at it for hours.

  32. I just finished the First season of Riverdale! I can't wait for Netflix to get the second one. I actually really enjoyed it, maybe because I was a huge fan of the comic.
My family just got me Sky in the Deep. It's a book I have been wanting to read since it came out.

I also wish May would slow down, I feel like I haven't accomplished anything yet!

Have a great week, Greg! Happy Reading!

  33. Very interested to see what your thoughts are on Sky in the Deep! I got to see Before I Fall at a film fest last year; it was ok, nothing particularly good or bad about it. Looking forward to reading your Movies That Suck post on it :) Hope you have a wonderful week Greg!

  38. Yes! The 100 is absolutely rocking it as you say. I wish we didn't have to wait for the next episode every week.
OMG! I love the fire, forest, buck, Tumbler picture and the scene on the boat , rocking gently which is the second last pic from the bottom. Those are a sensation and whoever made them are a genius.
