  4. I read Hitchhiker's last year, but it's the only book on your list that I've managed to pick up! I own a couple of them - Sister, Sister and Song of the Current - but I keep putting them off.

    Here's my TTT!

    1. I keep putting Song off too, I read like a chapter and it didn't grab me? But I'll try again- and I need to read Hitchhiker's!!

  5. After I DNF I never go back to a book. It gets one chance with Chuckles. I DNFed Hitchhikers quite early on as it just didn't grab me at all. I hope you have better luck with it.

    1. I had the same problem with Hitchhiker's, it bored me? But I may try again. Generally though I'm the same- once I DNF I rarely go back.

  6. I could have put Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on my list this week too. There were so many options, though, lol.

  7. Ooh nice! Song of the Current is in my TBR pile, but only for the past year or so! Basically, the books I picked are the building blocks of my TBR pile! They started it and still remain unread! Whelp! Lol!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

    1. Ha they add up! And Song has been on my list since it came out, but I never seem to get to it (I did try it once and wasn't impressed, but I only gave it a chapter).

  8. You haven't read Hitchhiker's Guide?! Shame on you, ha ha. I had totally forgotten that I wanted to read Song of the Current. Thanks for reminding me. ☺

    1. Thanks! I know, it's so easy for the books to pile up, right?

  15. I haven't heard of any these titles but 'murder in the secret garden' sounds interesting, no idea what's about but just the fact it refers to another book makes it interesting to me.

    have a lovely day.

    1. It's the third in a series, basically they're murder mysteries set at a resort full of libraries, named after various authors. Nice right?

  16. I need to read The Wood and Valiant too but there were books that have been on my list much longer so these didn't make it to mine. Good luck getting some of these read.

    1. Thanks! The Valiant is probably near the top of my list in terms of books I hope to get to, it sounds so good.

  17. I've also had The Vault of Dreamers on my TBR since it came out! I never went out of my way to purchase and/or read it, so I guess that means I'm no longer interested. I've been seeing Valiant a lot though, so THAT one I'm interested in!

  19. Though I do remember the cover on various lists or perhaps from seeing it on Amazon/Goodreads, I don't think I've ever really looked at The Valiant. It was on displays last time I went to B&N too. Funny how you see something all the time, but never really give it a second look.

Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland, Greg. :)

    1. Yes I do that all the time, keep seeing a book and don't give it much thought. Then I might see it on a blog or something later and decide I have to have it. :)

  20. Some of these aren't too old, so you seem to be doing better with your TBR than most of us! LOL I am curious about The Wood.

    1. I'm a mood reader and I tend not to have too many older books on my TBR, I just read em or move on I guess? Which is not always good because I miss some I really wanted to read, and then I see them later and I'm like- that one! But yes I'm glad they're not TOO old :)

  21. I love The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy! One of my all-time favorite books/series. It's goofy and way out there, but so much fun.

Oh and I read What Did Alice Know and it was pretty good! My review will be up in the next couple of weeks I think? I'm kind of scheduled out right now, I wanted it up sooner...

  24. The Valiant has been on mine for a while also, but just haven't gotten there. Song of the Current is one I've been wanting to read also, it sounds great. The only one I've read is Hitchhiker's Guide, which was fun.
And yeah, this week's really is a long title!

    1. I know, right? And Hitchhiker's should be at the TOP of my list, I've heard so many good things!

  35. Read Hitchhiker's!!! I think you'd like it. Douglas Adams' humor is so very British and a bit bizarre. Plus it's a short book and not particularly deep.

    1. It totally seems like something I'd like, I usually like a little humor in my sci-fi, I don't know what my problem was when I tried it before lol. I will be trying it again though

  36. I haven't read any of those but I hope you get a chance to read them. I am curious about a few of them.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I totally chucked at your comment about the title, because I thought the same exact thing this week. I don't know why I thought you had read Wild Bird. Maybe you had just talked about getting the book? The Vault of Dreamers! I went to the release tour for this one, and yep, still unread (but not sure why).

  41. The Valiant and The Wood have been on mine for quite a while too. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a pretty fun read.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I have meant to pick up Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy but have never gotten around to it...it’s that pecky giant TBR. I may have to check out The Runaways too. We just started watching the Hulu series and it has caught my attention

    1. I started Hitchhiker's once and got sidetracked, so technically I DNF'd it? But I'm going to try again.

  43. You're brave, I don't even want to think about all the books I have on my TBR. lol

    ReplyDelete
  44. What? The Hitchhiker's Guide? What are you waiting for? You will love it. My TTT TBR list

    ReplyDelete
  45. I was just about to say, wasn't Barbary Station boring?! Just... keep it as a DNF. Kick it off your TBR. I liked Vault and Song of the Current- didn't *love* but solidly liked. And we have discussed The Wood. Hell, kick that off too. I liked it but I have decided it is best to be ruthless with TBRs, it's my new plan. And will you read The Valiant already!? It is so good. I mean, gladiatrices! I need to read the sequel though so I suppose I am not one to talk hahah.

    1. Yes I think Barbary Stn is done for. I just can't. Booooring. Vault I started and I like it so far, but This Fallen Prey just came out and I'm dropping everything for that. Actually I'll read them concurrently, which I hate to do, but... whatevs. Book blogger problems :)

Gladiatrices *nods* I need to read The Valiant, clearly.

  46. I've got several of these on my list. Oh, I didn't know you had DNF'ed Barbary Station! That's one I still have to read as well, but I've been seeing mixed ratings.

  47. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is one of those books that I feel just about everyone has read except me, lol. I don't even think it's on my Goodreads TBR; if not, I need to fix that!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Lol, that is a pretty long blog title! I don't think I've written anything longer, but you never know. I don't have any of these books in my TBR. I don't think I've ever gone back to a DNF ever either. I hope it works out for you! :)

    ReplyDelete

    1. I know?? I don't usually go back to DNF's either, and to be honest I just want to move on, but I guess if I get bored... ? :)

  49. Forgot to say, I hope you love This Fallen Prey as much as I did! The town off the grid is a really neat concept to me, too! Sometimes I want to live up there, of course with my Kindle pre-loaded with about a thousand books and a solar charger! Lol. I can't wait to hear your reaction, Greg!

    1. Oh I just started This Fallen Prey today, only two chapters in, and I'm alread hooked. That series just works for me so much! And yes there are times I want to live there too, off the grid. As long as there's no hostiles around :)

  50. I also really need to get to Song of the Current - I've got high hopes!

I just read The Valiant the other day and I really enjoyed it but was tight on my star rating. (3) My review will be up soon.

It's been YEARS since I read HitchHiklers. I need to pick that one up again.

  56. I hope you manage to read a few of these. I have The Valiant on my wishlist.

  57. This was a long post title and I tried to shorten it lol. I won a copy of The Vault of Dreams from Goodreads and I still haven't read it. I hope you enjoy The Valiant. I just finished the sequel and really liked it.
