Bookcover Spotlight #97

The Bookshop on the Corner

I love a cover with a bookstore. This one looks homey and inviting, but then I don't often see a bookstore I don't want to go in.

  1. I would like to see more bookshops on the street. As a kid we had a bookshop in the town centre and each time I went shopping with my mum, I was taken in for a book treat. The staff were great and would be ready to recommend things to you. What killed it off was Waterstones opened a shop two doors down and both shops ending up closing due to lack of trade within a year or two. I was gutted. That meant the nearest bookshop was up in Glasgow and I hate the hassle of going into the city. A small Waterstones opened at a shopping mall a few miles away but it is small and the choice isn't great for my genres. I rely so much on Amazon! Nice cover!

  2. That is a cuddly-looking bookstore. I can almost smell those books inside lol.
There was a bookshop in the town where I used to live that had a cafe inside too. I miss going in there :-(

  8. Yep, that looks like home. If I win the lottery I am opening a small bookshop and moving in!

  9. I'd visit that store, and probably never leave for a day. Or three. ... Deep down, owning a store like that? Would be the best thing EVER.
