Top Ten Books I Wish Had More Or Less

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week a new Top Ten list will be posted. Everyone is welcome to join. Link back to The Broke and the Bookish so everyone can check out other bloggers' lists. It's a fun way to get to know fellow bloggers.

This week is an interesting one- Top Ten Books With More Or Less of X. This is almost like a freebie- so many choices. I'm going with...some books that need more this or that. And... certain kinds of books I need to have more of.

The Wind in the Willows (Barnes & Noble Leatherbound Classics):
I love these leatherbound classic editions from Barnes & Noble. I have a few but there's a ton I'd like.

Journey to the Center of the Earth

I need some of the Rock Paper Books stuff.

The Winds of Winter (A Song of Ice and Fire, #6)

I need more sample chapters... since winter never seems to come.

A Dance with Dragons (A Song of Ice and Fire, #5)

Speaking of Martin... way more dragons. For a book called A Dance witth Dragons we didn't get much dragon stuff. Sure there was a bit... but MORE

Image result

I need more books like this- I'm in the middle of it now and it's SO good. I need all the generation ship/ clone/ far future books NOW.

Image result for star wars the force awakens

I know this is a movie but it's a book too right? And I could have used more Luke frickin Skywalker... I mean a minute? Seriously? Although I know we'll get a lot of him and Rey in Episode VIII.

Heir to the Jedi

Speaking of Star Wars- I could take more Kevin Hearne stories.

Sanctuary Bay

I liked this story but it's a standalone. The end left a big opportunity for follow up but the authors don't have plans for a sequel at the moment.

Central Station

I need more cyberpunk.

  1. Yes to more dragons! Not only in Game of Thrones, but in general I feel like stories can always use more dragons :) And yes, more Game of Thrones would also be nice :)

  2. I like the way you did this - instead of trying to pick an overarching theme, just what you need more of! GAH, I made it hard on myself. and Yes on GOT!!

  8. The leather bound editions ARE gorgeous! I haven't bought any for myself, though I did get one as a gift once, and never gave it to my cousin. SO... yeah, I do still have that sitting on my shelf. Ooops!

  9. Pretty sure there is no such thing as too many dragons. Yes, any book that has dragon in the title, ought to have a plethora of dragons!

  14. Haha, totally agree with you on the need for more Luke in The Force Awakens. LOVED the movie but a minute was not nearly enough so hoping for tons of Luke in Episode VIII.

  21. Couldn't agree more on A Dance With Dragons -- it needed more dragons! Hahaha. There are definitely some books I can think of that need more to the story, like a sequel. Brightly Woven by Alexandra Bracken comes to mind!

  22. What a great idea for your list! I haven't read A Dance With Dragons, but I imagine I will agree with you when I do. :-)

  23. Oh yes, I agree! 'A Dance with Dragons' needed more dragon action :)

A lot of books need more dragons. They are the only 'Deus ex Machina' I accept! Wrote yourself into a corner? No idea how to go on? Enter DRAGON. All good.
