Cover Characteristics Snowglobes

Cover Characteristics is a meme by Sugar and Snark- every week a characteristic is selected and we post 5 books with that week's theme.

This week's pick- Snowglobes

The rogue topics continue as Cover Characteristics is officially on hiatus. This week we have snowglobes from Kristen at Metaphors and Moonlight and this one was a little tough. I mean I found plenty of covers with snowglobes, but finding one I wanted to use- that was tougher. So I only found five this week- or at least five that made the cut. :)

  1. Jenna Nelson's snowglobe cover is gorgeous! That's the kind of cover that makes you want to check out the blurb. I'd struggle with a snow globe topic I think!

  2. I did pick a hard topic, sorry, haha. Even I had trouble finding ones I liked. But I obviously agree about the ones we both chose! And Snow Globe really does have a magical feel. Also, I didn't even notice the ship in Elsewhere until you said it or the volcano in The Snow Globe. I was never really sure what that red spot was, haha. I don't think I ever really looked close enough to figure it out.

    1. Yeah it was kinda tough. :P I like Snow Globe a lot, it's like giving off light but everything is blue tinted. And Elsewhere I like more the more I look at it. And yeah THE Snow Globe lol- at least I think it's a volcano?? This was a good topic though, we need some hard ones once in a while. :)

    1. I am very much so- and we do this meme more or less every week although it's officially on hiatus- we just do our own topics. :) I like Wintersong too. :)

  5. My faves are Wintersong and The Snow Globe. In fact, I just added the second one to my wishlist after seeeing it on Kristen's blog. I'm loving the wintery looking covers you guys are featuring this month! It's also fun to see a palm tree in the middle of a snow globe - how cute!

  6. I absolutely love the cover for Wintersong, especially the fact that all the snow is gathered at the bottom so it doesn't obscure the flower. The cover for Elsewhere is also really good, but that's mostly because I've read the book so I get how it ties into the story. ;)

    1. It's great isn't it? And oo you've read Elsewhere? Cool. the funny thing about this meme is half the time (or all the time) I haven't actually read the books I pick. I know some participants have tried to only pick from what they've read, but I don't do that. lol

    1. Me too! I don't think there's an official topic next week since the meme originator is on maternity, but I think we're doing favorite covers of the year if you want to join in next week!

  12. I love snow globes, used to have several but unfortunately multiple moves were not kind to them. These are beautiful ones you chose, though Greg. Thanks for sharing! The cover of the one called The Snow Globe is my favorite :)

  13. I love the Wintersong one, and The Snow Globe (the Jenna Nelson one). Very nicely done. This is a hard one, I am trying to think of others but... nope. This might be a snow globe but I can't even tell for sure- The Possible by Tara Altebrando. Either way, I like whatever it happens to be.
