  2. To answer your pondering on The Hobbit...because it's Peter Jackson!! Lol, I don't really mind the padding though. The Hobbit is a pretty short children centered book, so it actually lacks some of the details of what connects it to the event of LOTR. So I think in order to keep it in continuity with the previous films he's putting those details in there. Though I think he might be adding stuff of his own too...I don't remember the female elf, but it might be a character from on of the side stories. *shrugs* I'm the kind of person who could literally read an encyclopedia of LOTR and not get tired of it though.

    1. You gotta point there, I shouldn't complain too much because hey, Hobbit on screen is a good thing! And to be honest, i did like the appendix stuff in LotR and all the backstory stuff. He could have probably did it in two... still I want to see it and soon!

  4. I'm almost done with shopping. Thank goodness. I hate shopping. Unless it's for books. ;) My second hated activity...wrapping. Hate that, too. lol

    Have a great week!

  5. I really wish they would stop rebooting movies. SO many books and they can't come up with anything original. I love her on Game of Thrones but I'm not sure how I feel about her being Sarah Conner.

My shopping for my kids (from santa) is done and wrapped. I just have a few odds and end to do. Not sure what I am waiting for and why I feel like I have time, I'm sure by the end of the week I will be in a complete panic because I forgot a million things :) it always happens that way LOL

Hope you have a great week and Happy reeading

  6. I have a copy of The Game as well. It definitely looks like my type of read, so I'm excited to get to it.

Lucky you've got snow! I love it, and haven't gotten any since I moved to Las Vegas in 2012 and then Tennessee a couple months ago. My Dad is in NY though, and they got bombarded last night.

Thanks for stopping by my Sunday Post/Stacking the Shelves!
    Have a great week!

  8. The Game does sound interesting. I've gotten all my shopping done...most of it was done on-line!

Good luck with all the snow. We had snow flurries and a little freezing rain last Sunday. And then on Tuesday they actually shut down the federal government! We just got rain here in southern Maryland, but I guess some parts of Virginia and Maryland got a little bit of snow. They tend to overreact in the DC area...lol.

    1. I was surprised by my result too, but some of the questions... I could see a few different results rather easily if I answered just a little different. I thought I would get elf, myself... :)

Thanks for stopping, have a fabulous week!

  15. Thanks for stopping by Let's Evaluate . I am definitely enjoying Game of Thrones so far, I love high fantasy so it is definitely right up my alley. I just started reading The 100 last night and although I am only on page 91, it isn't my favorite. It is advertised as a survival story about teens sent to Earth but so far it is definitely more of a romance, were the teens are more worried about their love lives than surviving. Not what I was expecting, but hopefully it will get more action based soon and have some world building, since it has yet to mention why Earth was uninhabitable for so long.

I heard about Game a couple of months ago and it seems like most people have been enjoying it, hope you are too. I will keep an eye out for your review. :)

    1. Thanks Erin! It seems like another review I read on The 100 said the same thing- all romance not enough of the survival on a wrecked planet thing. To be honest, that's what appealed to me, the idea of the teens having to survive in the aftermath, so if its light on that maybe I'll pass. I'll watch for your final review though.

      Thanks for coming by!

  16. We just had a huge snow storm - I'm not big on winter but there's just something about the first snow storm especially that it was a Sunday and I could snuggle up on the couch and watch Christmas movies :D Anyways, I hadn't heard of Game before but I like the sounds of it already! :)

  17. I read a lot of Tintin comics as a kid, as well as Asterix and Iznogoud. It might be fun to revisit them sometime.

And, hahah, Emilia Clarke cast as Sarah Connor? Then they'll have two Sarah Connors in the Game of Thrones cast (Headey & Clarke)!

I know about the casting, isn't that funny? What are the odds of that happening?

  20. Snow! I cannot imagine having snow for Christmas!! And it just gets cold here in Winter, no snow unless we drive to the mountains to find some!

I love the quirky cover to The Crab with the Golden Claws.
