I remember as a preteen reading these types of comics thinking this is the way love would be...sitting in a booth crying because the couple on the other side it my 'boyfriend,' Luckily that is not the case.
Wow, am I glad I am a man. Looking at those covers makes me wonder what is going on inside of someone reading them, and it must be a complete emotional roller coaster inside of them....
You always find the most amazing stuff!! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Lisa @ https://hopewellslibraryoflife.wordpress.com/2023/12/05/top-ten-tuesday-freebie-christmas-books-i-loved-in-the-last-few-years-and-my-two-all-time-favorites/
Oh, this gave me so much of a laugh. Love these! Love the graphics too. The little blurbs really make you want to find out what's next. I loved the one about "Is it because I'm poor?"
I added an Abbot and Costello movie to the two movies we have at the library.."Africa Screams!" and another which I can't remember the name of. I didn't realize they actually started on radio and it was Abbots' wife who told him he should team up with Costello.
Thanks for your comments! Yes, nothing like having a roommate who can't drive. Or one who won't clean up. Hope your week is going well. It feels I just can't get enough done..but I guess that's December.
The comic book style for a book cover is always fun. They're a fun throwback very on brand right now. :) Thanks so much for visiting my website this week.
Usually your covers are dark, mysteries and slightly creepy. I love this romantic, lighter side! These are great covers.
ReplyDeleteLove this selection, they're definitely intriguing!
