Haha, the statue of liberty has been through some stuff in these books! Great covers. I didn't realize that destroyed statues were such a popular apocalypse motif.
All of these Statue of Liberty covers creep me out because I feel like it's getting closer and closer to maybe someday truly happening. But they are really cool!
Totally loved this.. Poor Lady Liberty :) she has certainly been subjected to a lot.. or maybe not poor actually, since she seems to have survived all of that .:) Here is my TTT
I first saw the original Planet of the Apes when I was eleven (my mother would have crucified my dad if she had known he took me to the drive-in to see it, ha ha), and this depiction as the final scene was a huge shocker for me. I don't think any scene in any movie has impacted my mind as much. 🗽
This statue of liberty theme is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of The Day After Tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThat art of the first cover is pretty great.
ReplyDeleteHa, this is rather cool. Coming from me, it really is! LOL!! Love the cover for After the Rain.

Definitely a running theme to note here :) and I can see why. It does make for such an epic vibe for a book.
ReplyDeleteYou know I love me some post-apocalyptic covers! I love that they all feature the Statue of Liberty, too!
