So last week I was lamenting that fall wasn't here yet (at least in my area) but the past week has taken care of that. It is definitely autumn- ish around here now, lots of rain and blustery weather this week. Which means leaves falling. Still don't really have colors turning yet though... maybe a bit. October is almost over and I always love this time of year so I'll be a little bummed. I don't even have any pumpkins out yet!

I'm kind of afraid to watch Squid Game. I'm busy with Shadow and Bone for now, but I might give Squid Game a try. My daughter has watched it and she enjoyed Squid Game.

ReplyDeleteI am surprised your trees are turning. I have quite a burst of color out my window. We are not having the rain, but I am glad the temperatures have been a cooler this weekend. It was like 80 the other day.

ReplyDeleteMy daughter wanted to watch Squid Game, even though she's probably a tad young for it, but she's pretty mature mentally so we watched the first episode together. Honestly, it was so over the top gory that it was more goofy than disturbing, I didn't really get the appeal (and the acting is pretty bad, lol) and my daughter was like meh, and didn't continue. It's crazy how it's taken over the world by storm though, and hey if you're enjoying it, awesome!

ReplyDeleteWe don't have our pumpkins either. We probably should pick some up this week. I wasn't sure about Squid Game at first, but once I switched from the dubbed version to the subtitled version, I loved it. The dubbing was awful and distracting. I couldn't take it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's getting pretty fall like here, but just as long as it don't get to wintery to quickly. We have some days next week that the high is only 55! Not good! We never get pumpkins...lol. Though they say there is a pumpkin shortage but I don't see it, we went by a pumpkin patch and they had a lot of pumpkins out there and for sale!

I've been focused on the yard work and feeling relief the planting is done. Now it's just some watering since we aren't getting any rain. I'm going to have to do something about the leaves this week but the colors aren't totally here yet. I'm loving the cooler temps but it's going to drop another 20 degrees Tuesday so it will really be cooler. I do wish we were getting some rain. Enjoy your cooler weather and hopefully you will get colors.

It gotten chilly here, and most the tree have either turned or are almost bare. It's definitely feeling and looking like fall. I love this time of year too so I'm happy things are finally turning that way. Hope you have a great week!

ReplyDeleteWe don't have the whole leaves turning colors around here but leaves do fall off of some of the trees. The temps are still around 80F for the most part but some days are cooler and the nights are in the 50's which is nice.

ReplyDeleteOur dogwood trees are half green, half goldish-brown. Not really pretty at all, I must say. I like whatever trees turn red and bright yellow or gold.
I haven't tried Squid Game yet. Looks interesting. The one thing I miss in Florida is not having the pretty autumn colors.

Our New England fall was so-so. We still have not had a frost and just turned our heat on in fact. Still some pretty fall scenes but not as beautiful as past years.
ReplyDeleteIt actually feels like fall here which is amazing as usually it doesn't even come close until at least November and then it just immediately gets dreary. Love the Lofi this week! We watched a lot of Clone Wars years ago but haven't watched any of the newer shows. I haven't seen Squid Games and I'm not sure I will. I think I'm too chicken for that! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMost trees still have their leaves but fall is definitely here. A few days ago the first severe fall storm hit us and temperatures have dropped. But I don´t have any pumpkins out. Not common around here *smile* We rather eat them ...
ReplyDeleteIt's a bummer if the leaves fall without turning colors! I was so thrilled to see some beautiful foliage up at my daughter's over the weekend. It's finally cooled off here, down south, so I'm happy about that. I've heard Squid Games is pretty brutal. I saw the SNL skit on it and it was funny. Enjoy!

The leaves finally started turning here last week. They look pretty good. It was 71° here yesterday, but fall certainly arrived today. I haven't turned the heat on yet, but I'm thinking that will happen tomorrow. It will be mid-30s tomorrow night. 🍁🍂🍃
