This week is book titles that could be Crayola crayon colors. Seriously??? I'm kind of combining this with titles that sound like they could be paint swatches? You know how you go to the store and the paint all has wild sounding names. Like verdant sea or whatever.
If I had gotten real fancy, I'd have looked up some paint colors and made a kind of "mood" board for the books and matched them up with a color. But alas, who has time for that!? :D WOW. Some of those colors are pretty crazy!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to picture a room painted with Blood Tide. Yuck! My TTT list today
ReplyDeleteHahah blood tide. That would be kind of awesome.
ReplyDeleteAfter spending the weekend picking a paint, I totally get the paint swatch vibes.
ReplyDeleteI had a fondness for "ultramarine blue" in my old paint box :) Not crazy, It's always funny to see Tintin is known all over the world. "Wash the dog" ? It's... well... lol !
ReplyDeleteI want to know what Girls Night Out would look like. Such a fabulous name
ReplyDeleteBlood Tide is a great answer!

Haa you are right, paints have the weirdest names! And the Castafiore Diamond -- what a perfect choice!
ReplyDeleteNice picks! Yeah, it's funny the names they give paint and crayola crayons.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Thanks for sharing the real Crayola crayon names, too.
ReplyDeleteYes, I like the idea of paint swatches, too! Sanctuary Bay sounds like it would be a really soothing color.
ReplyDeleteThese definitely work as paint swatch names😁 I saw another blogger do nail polish names, so its pretty clear that its fun to name colors😁
ReplyDeleteIvory and bone is the same vibes as I went for with the bone season!

Fun list!
ReplyDeleteRiver at Night Gets my Vote!

Love your picks and omg LOL I love the existing colour names that you shared! I'm gonna go google some of these now cos I'm so curious to know what colours they are?! Great post, Greg 😍
ReplyDeleteIvory and Bone definitely sounds like it could be a crayon colour.

I loved your take of this theme Greg. Here is my post-https://paigesofbook.blogspot.com/2021/04/top-ten-tuesday-books-that-could-be.html.
ReplyDeleteCreative book titles but I have no idea what they mean.
ReplyDeleteMango Tango sounds like a dance move. Is Wash The Dog brown or dirt brown? And what type of dogs would they be referring to?
Have a lovely day.
I'm loving The River at Night. That's a great paint/crayola color.
ReplyDeleteGreat list.
ReplyDeleteHi Greg! Great selection! Girls night out... Now what color will that be?? And Ivory and Bone? Isn't that like almost the same color? The one is just warmer undertones. Loved what you did with this post today Greg!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT and here's my Ten Crayola Colors Book Titles
Oh, Girls Night Out sounds like a fun color! I'm imagining a hot pink or vibrant red for that one. Also love The River At Night.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this one really sent me for a toss. I was also feeling too lazy to figure out Crayon names and then think of cool books to match... But I like that you went with colors or color connections in your book titles.:-) And I wonder what's Screamin' Green (instead of the usual green) and what's Wash the Dog? Like, really! These colors are a lot like the pulp fiction titles you share on your blog, haha.

The River at Night would be a great paint/crayon color name. I also really like Sanctuary Bay. I'd paint my room that color it just sounds so soothing. :)
ReplyDeleteGirls Night Out absolutely needs to be a crayon! I actually love this list. I think that Sanctuary Bay should be a spa color. <3
ReplyDeleteGreat list, I especially like blood tide!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea about these colors either before that and checked them out. I couldn't find inspiration for this post though, you did a great job. I love Blood Tide!
ReplyDeleteSome of those real crayon names are super crazy and don't conjure up any color for me at all. Others are super evocative. I especially love Campfire Flicker.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
River at Night and Blood Tide sound intriguing (and dark...in any sense LOL). Girls' Night Out...I'm picturing something dark too, but maybe sparkling?
ReplyDeleteAs for real colours...Mango Tango, Screamin' Green and...Wash The Dog? 😂
Nice list, I especially love how you included your favourite colour names. They are indeed fantastic.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
I love wash the dog for a crayon colour! Can't imagine it'd be the nicest one though
ReplyDeleteBlood Tide and The River at Night are spot on for crayon titles! I also really like some of the official ones you picked out. Mango Tango especially :D
ReplyDeleteWash the Dog is a Crayola color? That's hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI like the titles you chose. Blood Tide and Girl's Night Out especially grab my attention.
This is fun. I could easily imagine seeing some of these as swatches at my local paint store. :)
ReplyDeleteThis topic completely threw me so I skipped it but I love your take on it. Sanctuary Bay sounds like a soothing grey blue you'd paint your bathroom when you're going for a spa like feel but want a deeper color.
ReplyDeleteThinking of paint colors was very influential while I was making my list. Much easier than crayon colors.... :)
ReplyDeleteI want to check out those colors you mention, I mean..snow drift..white? Lol
ReplyDeletenice list , they all fantastic
ReplyDeletefull lace human hair wigs
Ha! I definitely agree paint has some pretty wild colors - I don't think I've really seen how wild until I started my current job. 😂 Some of them I don't think I'll ever understand but I'm not a painter so... who am I to talk.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd like The River at Night as a color, but most likely I'd probably see that as paint.
I like Blood Tide as a color. Not sure it would go as a crayon color because it might not be appropriate for children, but great as a paint swatch!
ReplyDeleteWhat color was Wash the Dog? Ha ha. 😁
