This week is fun! The topic books that made me laugh out loud. Hmmm... .
Ok, I think you've mentioned Eight Hundred Grapes quite often on your blog, and I've said I need to read it. As of this writing, I still haven't. Lol.
ReplyDeleteI read the full completed volume of Alex + Ada. I enjoyed it, but it ended in a way that little ol me sported a sad face for a while.
Somehow I haven't read Eight Hundred Grapes yet though it looks so fun. I really need to read some books that make me laugh. I've been reading light books but not so much funny books.
ReplyDeleteBig Little Lies was fun on audio. I actually have Eight Hundred Grapes on my TBR pile. Hmm, I need to dive into that one.
ReplyDeleteI have one or two Julie Mulhern books on my kindle. I need to read them! I love a murder mystery and if it's going to make me chuckle, even better!
ReplyDeleteI actually did a TTT this week! Or no, Elza did.
10 Feline Book titles that made me laugh out loud
The Peanuts gang is always good for a laugh! :)
ReplyDeleteI forgot how funny Big Little Lies actually was.
ReplyDeleteI probably need to reread Big Little Lies. I only remember loving it and how light the writing felt and then how that ending fell down on me hard. hahaha. It's my first Liane Moriarty and it's still my fave from her!
ReplyDeleteEight Hundred Grapes. I must read it. I am making a list of funny books today. I just realized that I hardly ever read funny books and everything right now seems so serious. Here's my list.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Ever since Summer Days and Summer Nights I've been waiting and hoping that Stephania Perkins might bring out a Halloween-inspired YA romance anthology. It's what I need!
ReplyDeleteNice list! All new to me ones. Seeing lots of contemporary titles so far today.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Big Little Lies really is quite funny. I still need to read Eight Hundred Grapes but I've heard good things about it. And yay for Snoopy! He always makes me laugh. :)
ReplyDeleteBad Girls with Perfect Faces sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I loved the Peanuts comics. So classic.
ReplyDeleteMy post: https://lydiaschoch.com/top-ten-tuesday-books-that-made-me-laugh-out-loud/
I think Liane Moriarty's books have an element of dark humor to them!
ReplyDeleteI’ve only read one by Lianne Moriarity & liked it so I need to try Big Little Lies.
ReplyDeleteWe used to buy the Peanuts books all the time when I was a kid. I really identified with Charlie Brown
ReplyDeleteI'm probably one of the few left that hasn't read or watched: Big Little Lies. I like Laura Dave and Eight Hundred Grapes was good.
ReplyDeleteOmg YES, Alex + Ada really had me laughing at times. Such a great graphic novel 😍 Can't wait to read Bad Girls with Perfect Faces and Eight Hundred Grapes--great to hear they made you laugh!
ReplyDeletePeanuts! Always so feel-good and funny and adorable. But the rest of these, hadn't even heard of these, I've been living under a rock. I like reading humor, so always up for suggestions, thanks a ton.

I need to read Big Little Lies! I loved the tv show, and I'm not sure how similar the book is to the show, but I do think the overall premise is so interesting.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realise Big Little Lies was funny! I keep meaning to watch the TV show but it's not available on any streaming services in the UK, at least not ones that I have, it might be on NowTV. Anyway, maybe I should check out the book.

Peanuts were always great books for a chuckle! I had a feeling if I did the topic that I'd just end up raving about Paddington again!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Snoopy--my brother and I had a lot of the comic collections!

These all look like fun. I love Peanuts. It's a shame I didn't share Snoopy and friends with my girls as they grew up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.

I haven't read any of these (except The peanuts !) but I would love to lay my grubby hands on the Liane Moriarty ^^
ReplyDeleteBig Little Lies was amazing and full of funny quotes! :) Would love to try Alex + Ada too.
ReplyDeleteI love Peanuts! Funny and wise - a perfect combination :)
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Interesting seeing Big Little Lies on this list, I wouldn't necessarily describe as funny :D Happy reading! My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/books-that-made-me-laugh-out-loud/
ReplyDeleteBig Little Lies was very humorous in its own way
ReplyDeleteI love Peanuts! They're always good for a laugh. :)
ReplyDeleteI ave seen the grape at the library, I do want to try the Ada one
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Always good to have some funny titles on reserve for those times you really need a laugh. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I've seen Alex + Ada around. Definitely something I'd been interested in.
ReplyDeleteHa! I like that quote from Big Little Lies. Too funny.
ReplyDeleteBig Little Lies.. yes! That quote is pretty great! Great list.
ReplyDeleteI forgot about Liane Moriarty! She would have been a good one for my list. I didn't realize Eight Hundread Grapes was laugh-out-loud funny! I'm going to have to add that to my TBR. It was on it at one time...
ReplyDeleteThis makes me curious about some of these books! I'm more curious about Big Little Lies now, also.
ReplyDeleteI love books that make me laugh. I'm definitely trying these out. We need more laughter in our lives. The quote with "everyone was drunk" is hilarious, and I remember you mentioning the Liane Moriarty book a few times on your blog, so I'll have to bump that one up on my TBR. Thank you for stopping by my blog <3
ReplyDeleteHumor in my stories is my absolute favorite. Great list Greg! I wouldn't have immediately thought of humor when seeing a few of these.
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
I love Snoopy, in fact he sits beside my bed!
ReplyDeleteOoh yes, books that make you laugh are great! That Alex and Ada picture made me chuckle.
