  1. As long as everything was runnign smoothly at Jurassic Park! Great choices, Greg!

  2. Some nice choices, though as Lauren says, as long as everything was running okay at Jurassic Park. Rivendell would be a laid-back artist colony... I wouldn’t mind running the Rivendell library. Lothlorien would be good if they have books. The Shire...so peaceful!

Have you ever thought of real-world places that appear in books? For example, I have gone to the Queenscliff Hotel for lunch because I read about it in Kerry Greenwood’s Phryne Fisher series, and Shrewsbury in England because of Ellis Peters and the Brother Cadfael books.

    1. Yes, I would want security assurances for Jurassic Park! Although let's be honest, when have those ever mattered? :)

Oh a librarian job at Rivendell would be a dream come true. And I have done that! I have a small list of real world places I want to go, thanks to books. :)

  3. YES for Narnia; I think that one will be popular this week. Of course, Hundred Acre Wood is another amazing pick. That place never ceases to make me feel all the childhood nostalgia. :)

  4. Yes, The Shire! Me too! I should've shown the pictures of places rather than the books that inspired my desire. Oh well. Great post, Greg! :)

  5. If I could visit in safety I'd go with Westeros, Piloria, Jurassic World, Cryptid Zoo, Great Zoo of China, Middle Earth and of course Hogwarts!

  6. Nice picks! Though I honestly can't say I'd want to visit Jurassic Park! Never really thought it was a good idea to create creatures that could eat you. LOL.

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  10. Jurassic Park, before it all goes to hell! Definitely Narnia, too.

  11. Narnia would be amazing, but only after the curse of winter all the time is broken. That is where I feel like I am right now. Winter Narnia. So. Much. Snow!

    ReplyDelete
  12. YES YES YES The Hundred Acre Woods. How did I forget that place. I'm with Jo on Narnia - pretty but I'm done with snow right now. Maybe I'll change my mind when it's 9- degrees this summer.

  26. Oh man, I remember the Dinotopia books. I only read one because it was in my school's library when I was in I think 2nd grade. The internet didn't really exist back then and my town didn't have a bookstore so I had no way to look for more. I don't remember which book it was, but I remember really liking it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Love both High Garden and the Galactic Commons picks!

  33. I liked the book-ending with starting and ending the post in Middle-earth. I feel like Rivendell especially would be fascinating to visit (although I don't think I'd want to live there...)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Cool list! We have a lot of places in common this week. :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Okay you are worse than me here. Sure, I want to hang out on post-Praimfaya Earth and Panem and such, but DINOSAURS? Hard pass. I would like to travel around in the Wayfarer world though!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh wow I would LOVE to visit Jurassic Park! I'd go both before and after the fall of the park, to be honest... As long as I couldn't die. XD

    ReplyDelete
  37. When I saw Rivendell, I thought, hmm, it's beautiful but I think I'd much rather visit the Shire. And then I saw it at the end of your list and rejoiced :D

  38. Love these! I would like to visit most of them as well. Especially Dinotopia and Jurassic Park! And aww, the 100 acre wood! My son is really into Winnie the Pooh right now, so I get to revisit that part of my childhood. I'd add Hogwarts to my list too, but I guess I would have to go as a Professor. That'd be ok too. :) Lol.

    ReplyDelete
  39. UGH, HOW DID I NOT THINK OF JURASSIC PARK??!! Yes, I really am yelling about that, in my head at least. Such a good choice.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'd say yes to all of these except Tarzan and The Extinction Trials .

    ReplyDelete
  41. I haven't read Nardia and always wanted to. I really should. =)
