This week is a Top Ten Thanksgiving freebie. I always love a freebie, and wasn't sure where to go with this one, so I just decided to keep it easy and list ten books that I'm thankful to have found due to book blogging. Because as I've said before- book blogging has introduced me to so many books I might otherwise have never read.
This one's a no- brainer. One of my fave books and I might never have tried it otherwise?
Marine conservation, second chance at love, family dynamic- there's a lot to love in this one.
My favorite Ice and Fire book- even if we never get another one this one's a gem.
My introduction to Lisa Jewell and a very thought provoking book.
This was just a trip.
Such a fast-paced read and dinosaurs!
This was even more a trip!
I loved the Hitchcock/ old movie references, the slightly paranoid feel, the suspense... everything.
This series is bomb.
I loved this dystopian set in the cold north. Marine conservation, second chance at love, family dynamic- there's a lot to love in this one.
My favorite Ice and Fire book- even if we never get another one this one's a gem.
My introduction to Lisa Jewell and a very thought provoking book.
This was just a trip.

It's always fun to discover favorite reads through book blogging. I feel like I could probably come up with a list of books that I discovered through blogging as well. So many yet to come too. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is. And exactly- I've discoered SO many books through blogs, and especially TTT!
DeleteI've seen contagion mentioned a lot lately. Clearly I need to get on that.
ReplyDeleteContagion was really good!
DeleteThere are whole genres that I only found through the internet so my list would be huge! Yes to the Extinction Trials and ASOI&F!
ReplyDeleteYes! That Extinction Trials is gonna be a highlight of '19 I think!
DeleteQuite a few on here that I'm really interested in giving a try. I might have to bump a couple up higher on my TBR!
ReplyDeletewww.tbrandbeyond.com
Thanks for visiting!
DeleteThe danger of reading all the blogs is finding all the books! I am definitely glad I took a chance on Big Little Lies, which was all the hype at the time, but led to me finding an author, who I love.
ReplyDeleteSame here with BLL. I fell in love with that book, especially Madline. And I find so many books through blogs it's not even funny.
DeleteGreat list! If The Extinction Trials has dinosaurs in it then clearly I need to read it.
ReplyDeleteIt does, and it's a good read too. !
DeleteThe Girls in the Garden looks sooo intriguing AND your line about it makes it even more so!
ReplyDeleteMy first Lisa Jewell book and so far my favorite.
DeleteI have quite a few books like this too! Of course with freebie topics my mind runs blank on what to do! Too many possibilities apparently! LOL. See a few books that I have in my TBR pile that fit the same topic too! Cannot wait to read them either!
ReplyDeleteOh nice! I honestly could not think of any book that took place over this holiday! Holidays don't really come up in my reads apparently! Lol!
Here's my Tuesday PostGREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Just realized I copied my whole comment from my first blog visit instead of my link. Ignore that second bit!
DeleteNo problem Jessica! And right? Freebie topics for me are surprisingly hard sometime!!!
DeleteI love when bloggers introduce me to books I've never heard of that become favorites! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Greg!
ReplyDeleteHappy thanksgiving!
DeleteYes, I've found so many books by reviewing for Long and Short Reviews! I haven't read any of these, but The Woman in the Window sounds interesting. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteI liked Woman in the Window, I know there were some mixed reviews at times but for a debut- I thought it was quite good.
DeleteWhy have I not read Lisa Jewell yet? I agree that I discovered many books through blogging too. I've read book I would otherwise never have picked up.
ReplyDeleteExactly. And I highly recommend Lisa Jewell in general and The Girls in the Garden in particular!
DeleteNice idea! I still need to read The Woman in the Window! Here is my post: https://wordsandpeace.com/2018/11/20/top-ten-thanksgiving-titles/
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
I liked it, and I hope you enjoy it too!
DeleteThere are so many books I never would have found if it weren't for blogging. Great idea for a list😊
ReplyDeleteThanks Tammy! I agree
Deleteby the way, I think you should edit your settings, because when you leave a comment at my place, your ID sends me to a wordpress blog you no longer have, so it;s harder for people to find you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me know, I had noticed that at one point and thought I fixed it- I guess not!
DeleteI have found so many great books through blogging. What a great topic for your top ten list. I completely agree that the Kelley Armstrong series is the bomb!
ReplyDeleteYes I hope that series goes on and on!
DeleteSuch a great list. I recently recommended the Woman in the Window to a co-worker. She had never heard of it! I was shocked. Have a great Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I think we assume sometimes that everyone knows the books like we do, but if you're not a blogger- imagine all the titles that fly under the radar!
DeleteGreat list! I've actually read a few of these on your recommendation. The Girls in the Garden has a beautiful cover! I'm going to have to check that out.
ReplyDeleteThe Girls in the Garden was really good. Thanks Tracy!
DeleteOh there are so many books that I am thankful other bloggers made me try. You have great list there!
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
DeleteI have found so many blogs thanks to book blogging! It's the best! thanks for stopping by my blog earlier.
ReplyDeleteSure thing Chrissi, and have great day!
DeleteOOH I really want to read Contagion; it sounds so good.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT post!
Contagion was awesome!!!
DeleteDefinitely agree with Big Little Lies. I also really enjoyed Woman in the Window!
ReplyDeleteJen Ryland Reviews
I liked both of those, and BLL is such a fave of mine.
DeleteOhh shark club looks good! I read big little lies because of bloggers too!
ReplyDeleteShark Club was REALLY good!
DeleteLove your topic! I've discovered so many new and great books from other bloggers too. So thankful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ashley! Same here, some of my best books have been from blogger recs!
DeleteI think blogging has shown me that there are millions of books that I'll never have the chance to read. It is awesome and sad at the same time LOL
ReplyDeleteElle Inked @ Keep on Reading
I know! That is problem for sure- there are so MANY books I want to read!
DeleteI love discovering books through blogging, usually because it comes from someone who has either read it and loved or who is really looking forward to it, which makes me even more excited to read it. The Wolves of Winter is a newer one to me that I really want to check out. Wonderful list!
ReplyDeleteSame here. I highly recommend Wolves of Winter- I was very impressed w/ that one.
DeleteI see many books here I added to my TBR because I saw them here and your were so enthusiastic about them like Winter Wolves, Contagion, City of the Lost and The Girls in the Garden! I am super thankful for Big Little Lies that got me reading and book blogging again after he big reading slump catastrophe of last year's Fall 2017 LOVE THIS LIST GREG!
ReplyDeleteThanks Daniela! I'm glad you found some books here, and I always appreciate your visits!! :)
DeleteThere are so many books and genres that I NEVER would have known about or tried without blogging.
ReplyDeleteI mean ...I'll never get to them all so that's a problem but a good one to have I think.
Karen @ For What It's Worth
It is a good one to have. :) And just as I was saying above, different comment- imagine if we didn't blog all the books we would miss!
DeleteI'd have a hard time narrowing the list of books I've read (and loved) because of other bloggers down to just ten. :D
ReplyDeleteI know!!!
DeleteThat's what I so love about blogging too Greg! Discovering new books we wouldn't have read otherwise ;-) Sophie @bewareofthereader
ReplyDeleteSo true! :):)
DeleteI did a similar list too, except made it sci-fi themed. So many books to be thankful for, that I would not have discovered if I didn't blog!
ReplyDelete~Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum
I have a feeling a lot of my favorite books I wouldn't have known about without blogging!
DeleteWow, The Girls in the Garden has a beautiful cover! And I loved how pacy and exciting The Extinction Trials was.
ReplyDeleteMe too- I did NOT expect Extinction Trials to be as good as it was? A very pleasant surprise! And I love that cover too!
DeleteSo much yes to Big Little Lies! I really enjoyed that one as well. Now you have me intrigued to find out more about The Shark Club. Second chance romance is one of my favourites. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Shark Club was a very pleasant surprise for me- not my usual kind of read but I recommend it to everyone, I thought it was quite good.
Delete"Book blogging has introduced me to so many books I might otherwise have never read" - I couldn't agree with sentence more because same, especially with those that aren't well known in mainstream media. On the downside, I get a bigger TBR from being introduced to these books, haha.
ReplyDeleteExactly! A mixed bag but on balance- I love it!
DeleteBook blogging introduced me to the Game of Thrones books and TV show, too. I’m happy about that. I love them.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
That's pretty awesome!
DeleteFun list! I am positively SHOCKED to see Shark Club on it 😂 Seriously though, without blogging, I think I'd have run out of crap to read years ago. I add books to my TBR about 10 times as fast as I can read them, oops?
ReplyDeleteGreat post! With my crazy schedule, I'd be totally lost without other bloggers to give me the scoop on other books and authors, so I'm super appreciative. Hugs..RO
ReplyDeleteI love finding gems on other blogs. 👍✨
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thanksgiving. 💜✨
Almost all of the books I read nowadays are found via other people's blogs. It's the best way to find recommendations!
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Book blogging (and Goodreads) are the main ways I find out about books today. Oh, that and book Twitter. A year ago, the only way I found out about new books was to a) check to see if any of my auto-buy authors had a new book out, or b) find a new book because it had been made into a movie. Now I find tons of wonderful books to read!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! There are so many wonderful books I'm sure I never would have read if not for book blogging and almost all of these are on my TBR because of visiting other blogs. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Greg!
ReplyDeleteThe city of the lost looks really interesting, i really need to get back into writing more TTT posts sometime.
ReplyDeleteEngrossed in a good book
Oh, Greg, I owe you several comments.... I've just gotten pretty busy with schoolwork (I teach ESOL to adults part-time, and have been making a LOT of copies at home), and it's affected my commenting. Well, I will do my very best to catch up!
ReplyDeleteThis is a GREAT list of books you have here! As I'm not familiar with all of them, I'm going to bookmark this page so I can look them all up on Goodreads. Well, except for "A Dance with Dragons". Most readers have heard of Martin's work, unless they've been living under a rock! Lol.
Thanks for featuring all of these books!! Thanks as well for visiting my blog! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! <3 :)
Oh, that's a fun twist on the topic! I'll have to remember it for future freebies (I hate freebie topics because I prefer having more direction). Have a great week. - Katie
ReplyDeleteBlogging (and reading other people's blogs) has introduced me to SO MANY amazing books over the past few years! This is a great twist on the Thanksgiving topic and you've included some really amazing books!
ReplyDeleteBig Little Lies! I definitely started this one because of blogging (among which your love of the books as well :) ) and am so thankful I did, because it is so great!
