This show was surprisingly good and is definitely worth a binge- I love the humor.
I spend way too much time binging shows too - and it's a problem. One I don't seem to be in a hurry to change. :D
ReplyDeleteQuite a while ago, I bought the S1 DVD set of Continuum, started it and liked it, but now I don't remember where I stopped. See what I mean?! I'm watching way too many shows.
I'm not either in terms of giving up binging- I rather like having that problem. :)

DeleteI need to find time to catch up on the dvd box sets I have and stuff on vhs I recorded off the tv! The 100 is definitely on my list and probably Stanger Things. I have Black Sails and Continuum as well. I think I need to have a film night, a DVD/VHS binge night and a night for watching the stuff I follow weekly. But that only leaves me four reading nights!!!

DeleteI actually haven't watched any of these! I have heard good things about Big Little Lies but I want to read the book first. I read the book of the 100 but I didn't like it - I should try the telly series and see if I like it more. I've seen the movie of 12 Monkeys starring Bruce Willis but have yet to try the series adaption. So many good recommendations here :D

What? The 100 is totally different from the books and 12 Monkeys is pretty different f/ the movie- it is its own thing.

Stranger Things is good, I liked Stranger Things 2 more. And Orphan Black ended a little weak, I thought, but the ride all the way there great!

DeleteIt says a lot about how little TV I watch that I've only watched the 100 out of your entire list and hadn't even heard of many more :/ But my husband and I are always looking for shows to watch, so I'll have to hang on to your list as a reference point. My top 10 would include Jane the Virgin, Breaking Bad, Nurse Jackie, Harlots, Parenthood, The Fosters, Nashville, Friday Night Lights... and I'm not sure beyond that!

Oh good. :) I have to admit I have all three too, after going back to Hulu. It's my least favorite of the three but I want to catch up on Handmaid and a few others.

DeleteI watched Continuum for quite a while-- but it got to a point in the second (third?) season where there were just too many timelines and things got too confusing so I haven't gone back to it.
ReplyDeleteI /loved/ the first season of Dark Matter but I didn't really get into the second season.
Many of these are on my wish list to watch. And now that we are cable free, maybe I can fit in more binge watching. :-) I really like Dark Matter and Travelers and enjoyed Jessica Jones. And love Orphan Black.

DeleteI've watched Jessica Jones Season 1. I've been procrastinating Season 2 for some reason. I really need to remedy that! I started on Humans a while ago, but I kind of forgot about it for some reason. Can you tell I have a really long list of shows I need to finish watching? :)

DeleteHa I had to and dark Matter actually was great (I thought anyway) but they ended on a cliffhanger and didn't get renewal- so that was disappointing!

Yes, the 100! I need to get back into it. I still haven't watched the 2nd season of Stranger Things. Big Little Lies of course. Still like the book better, though. Shetland looks like something I'd like. Love BBC crime procedurals/mysteries.

DeleteOne of the first things I thought when I saw this topic and thought about the blogs I follow was, "I bet Greg will have some new shows for me to check out!"--and I was not wrong! Haha, I'll definitely be checking out a few of these. I started Dark a while back but completely forgot about it? I've heard some great things about it lately, though, so I need to go back and check it out again. Riverdale is the perfect match for this topic, and I'm a fan of Black Sails as well. Great list!
