Three Facts About Me

1) I like the challenge of writing short fiction

2) I love rock concerts

3) My fave band right now is Dorothy.

JJ's Questions

1) If you could recommend one book to your 12 year old self what would it be and why? (It can be something after you were that age- we're just pretending).

The Lord of the Rings maybe (I didn't read it til later).

2) You have the power to being one fictional character to life: who do you choose and why?

Well... if it's bring them back to life in their world, I'll go with Ned Stark? He could cause all kinds of chaos if he were alive, and we could certainly cut to the chase about all kinds of things, including Jon's parentage! If it's about bringing a fictional character to life in our world, I... have no ideas? Oh wait maybe Murderbot? We could watch Netflix.

3) What would you cook to impress a friend/ date/ relative the first time they visit your home? And will you share the recipe?

Maybe a really good pizza. Or grilled chicken salad. It depends on the occasion, I guess?

4) Knowing that they would have to sit through every episode what TV series would you tell your worst enemy to watch?

Ooh fun. I'll go with... The Walking dead? I mean I like the show, but it's a long slog, and frankly there's a few seasons there lately that are bad

5) Should they start putting feathers on the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park movies, or does the thought of it make your nose wrinkle in distaste?

Probably? It seems to be the new normal. :)

My Questions

1) If you were to write a book about anything, what would it be?

2) You're given a choice- you can either gain the ability to read people's minds or the ability to speak w/ animals. Which do you choose?

3) You are given the ability to choose one animal companion to bond to, and will be able to communicate with it and see through its eyes- what animal do you choose?

4) What is your favorite guilty pleasure movie?

5) You are given a month long paid vacation- where do you go?

  1. I stopped watching The Walking Dead after season 3. Too many deaths for the sake of it I felt and it looks like only two characters I loved from season 2 are still alive which puts me off watching now! I love the idea of bingewatching stuff with Murderbot...think it would like Stargate Atlantis?

    1. I think it might! Although I'm not sure if poor Netflix could keep up with all the galactic content it's used to...

  2. ohhh Ned! Good choice! And your comment about the Walking Dead made me lol so hard!

  3. Poor Ned Stark! I would have loved to see him get revenge on Cersei. I have never watched TheWalkingDead. I know many who like it. I like the LOTR answer. I think for myself I would choose The Hobbit. A little easier to read. Have a great week.

    1. The Walking Dead was good for like 3 seasons? And yes The Hobbit would be perfect for 12!

  5. How fun! I like the questions you came up with too. For number 3, I think I'd go with a dog or cat. :) Nothing fancy but I love them!

  6. The Walking Dead was pretty great when it came out, but I've gotten bored with it. It's always the same repetitive story line every season. The only thing I've liked about it recently has been Negan, and that's because I think the author does an amazing job portraying that character. I find myself laughing about it all more times than I can count. However, I haven't actually watched the show for the last couple of seasons because it hasn't really seemed to go anywhere. :\

    1. Well I don't think you've missed much! Seriously, it just seems to drag? I liked the first few seasons though, I agree with you there- it was a good show at first!

  7. Netflix-ing and chilling with Murderbot would be fun! lol

I love your questions. I'm sorely tempted to do this but I'm lazy as to making up new questions lol

    1. Wouldn't it though? I can just imagine it making all these deadpan comments... and you can do this one, just skip the questions. :)

  8. Hahah I love that you chose Walking Dead for your enemy! Especially because its a delayed evil :D They might start out liking it but will be tortured by the end!

  9. Ned Stark is a great pick. I’d love to see what he could have done and made happen. Or just answer some freaking questions. LOL Dinosaurs with feathers? Seriously? I haven’t seen the latest so that is sounding pretty strange to me.

    1. I get that he's not coming back, but just imagine if he did... oh the chaos THAT would cause. And I haven't either but I gather that's a thing apparently

  10. I haven’t seen the Walking Dead but after you’d wish it on your enemy I think I’ll skip it

  11. They should make it realistic so feather away

But what would I recommend to 12 year old me. Dang that was a tricky one! You did well

    1. Yeah I guess that's consensus now?

And that was a HARD question I had to really think...

  12. I never got into the Zombie hype, so I've never watched The Walking Dead and it's spin-offs (and I don't plan to). Fun fact about me: I've never been to any type of concert or show and I'm 22 years old :)

  13. I actually did read The Hobbit when I was around twelve, but I wish I'd read more sci-fi back then. Hmm, the Walking Dead is a great answer or any series that has seasons in the double digits for an enemy. LOL Oh, another Murderbot reference- I really must read that series at some point.

    Great answers, Greg!

    1. Oh, and your dinner ideas are great. I love both those dishes so I'll be over to test them before your guests arrive. Ha!

  14. I like the idea of bringing Ned Stark to life. We definitely didn't get enough of him in the series, and I think there's a lot more he could offer!

  15. I do not know how I feel about this, knowing that you encouraged me to watch TWD πŸ˜‚ (Kidding, I know you warned me about the nonsense- and ohhhh there is so much nonsense.) Murderbot would be fun to have around in general. They'd be so snarky at parties, and would definitely have the scoop on all the best shows.

  16. OH I love rock concerts too! Actually I like any and all concerts but my favorite of all time was watching Guns N Roses two years ago. I cried. Twice lol. It was beyond epic. :)

  17. I love rock converts, too. Ha ha. 😁

I would figure you would include pizza in this. πŸ•

    I love your questions. πŸ‘✨

  18. Oh wow, I'm not going to be able to get the idea of bring Ned Stark back to life out of my head now. I love that idea!

  19. I STILL haven't read or watched The Lord of the Rings books, if you can believe it... I need to get onto that. Oh, Ned Stark would be so interesting in real life. I wonder how he would manouver the modern day political problems :P
