DeleteOMG you've read the Mercy Thompson series??? They're some of my favorite books, and I literally never met anyone else who's read them! I love Mercy a bunch and also I have a thing for female mechanics, so she would be at the top of my list. :D She's such a great and independent character and I love Adam and his wolves too. I'm always happy to read a new book in the series, even though some are better than others. I don't know all of the others, but good luck with Cheryl as your girlfriend haha I feel like she'd be very high maintenance.
ReplyDeleteI've only read the first one, but I liked Mercy already. And I have lots of reading to do to learn more about her and Adam, so yay! And yes... Cheryl would be high maintenance! I might not survive?
DeleteAhhh Cheryl!! I just love her character! I love how she just says and gets what she wants, even if it is mean! I'm really excited to see what's in store for her this next season after that season finale.. From what I remember, Harper isn't in the books, which is a shame! I really like her, and love her and Monty's relationship. I'm so ready for season 5! Nothing has topped season 2 for me, but I'm keeping my hopes up!

I say if we love to read and we're girls, Greg, everyone of us that visits your blog would qualify as your book girlfriends (lol) We're just not famous...yet *heh* Hugs...

I've heard such good things about Rainbow Rowell and yet have never managed to read one of her books?? I like how you included TV shows into the mix-- Continuum was a cool show! Eventually the timelines got so messy I stopped watching it, but I loved the first season.

DeleteIt's been a while since I saw The Maze Runner (didn't ever read the books), but I do remember liking Teresa. She's a pretty great character - and I have spotted Newt (from 'Maze Runner') on a few lists today too. :)

DeleteI don't want a lot of television, so I can't relate to the TV-focused characters, but I do have a soft spot in my heart for Reagan! Fangirl is one of my FAVORITE novels. Rainbow Rowell can really write characters well!

Fangirl is a favorite of mine also. Reagan was so different yet had Cath's back, and I loved it.
DeleteThe Dark Throne books are awesome, I liked the first one and the second one was even better. Plus there's a ton of theories floating around as some bloggers have done spoilery posts to discuss. If you're interested you should definitely give it a try. :)

DeleteGuess what? After three weeks of postponing, I'm finally reading Three Dark Crowns! And oh gosh it's fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI think that I actually like all three of the queens, even sly, cunning, vicious Katharine. However, the Gravesdrake mannor is my favorite setting.
I'm 120 pages in and really into it, so I now I actually know about Mirabella's character! I have a lot to read still, and it feels like I'm just being introduced, but at least I know who you are talking about.

ReplyDeleteSo, when I read the title, I was like "hmm what the hell kind of post will this even be without Harper and Garza?" And I am so happy to see that you have cheated to allow their existence in this post, love it :D Harper is not in the books- let's be real, no one is. But who cares, the show is so much better anyway. Kind of surprised by Mirabella! I mean, clearly no one wants to be Katharine's mate at this juncture, but Arsinoeee.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure! I remember in the second book thinking she was interesting, and as a bastard daughter of the dead king I thought she might play a role, but she hasn't yet. I liked her character though!
