This week's pick- People/ Persons Sitting in a Field of Grass
Hmmm... okay. I'm cheating this week to include people hanging out in a field of grass because those are some of the covers I found, and I liked 'em. These turned out to be pretty much all YA covers, because of course. Still they're not bad.
I like this one.

I can't really say I like any of these covers I'm afraid! I just don't like this style of cover with BFFs or couples on it. Not unless a zombie was chasing them...!

DeleteHa! I have never noticed how many books have grass on the cover, especially YA. Miranda Kenneally has so many of them, too! I think I like Catching Jordan's cover the best.

DeleteI've always disliked covers featuring grass...maybe it's my general distaste for America's obsession with manicured lawns. Scarlett Epstein Hates It Here is the nicest of this bunch though in my opinion-not because of the lawn so much as the typography and cover doodles.

ReplyDeleteI went to my bookmarked pages to see what I had for this topic, and I think I had two, and one of them when it opened, I was like... is this... that's not even a field? Why did I save this? So yeah, this topic wasn't happening for me lol. You found lots though! Apparently fields of grass are popular in contemp and sports romance (at least I'm guessing that's what these books are). But why does it look like the guy is eating the girl's cap in The Girl I Was Before? Or like she just accidentally hit him in the mouth? I was hit in the cheek by a cap once when someone threw it across the room. Let me tell you, those things are hard lol.

Ha ha some topics are good, and some are just... no. lol And you're right, that does not look comfortable. Eat some cap dude! And yeah the visor part of a cap (or whatever you call em) can be hard! I gotta love Getting Revenge tho.

ReplyDeleteOh I love Cover Characteristic! It really makes you think back to all the covers you've seen and I gotta say, I don't think I've read one with grass on the cover. So in my opinion, your cheat of changing sitting to hanging out is completely valid. You found some really good ones actually. It's funny to me that they are mostly sports related :D
